Windows 64 version, avx and avx2?
Hi to all! Recently I've noticed that my default browser began to consume a lot of battery on my laptop (80 per cent). So, I've read some recommendations and give it a try to Pale Moon (again: I was a user long time ago). I'm bookmarking my firefox webs to Pale Moon, and I have this doubt. Logged to Facebook and says that the browser is outdated and can't use Facebook Messenger... I downloaded from the web...so I think I'm on the last version
After upgrading to Version 33.4, the browser refused to execute, as I kept getting "Error Code 0xc000001d" Pop-Ups instead.
In a desperate but expecting no change diagnostic test, I rolled back to Ver. 32.5.2 -- and upon finding that the problem had now corrected itself, I was [re]assured that it was not related to any "System" issues.
So I incrementally reinstalled updated versions of the program, hoping that by doing so I would've bypassed whatever 'bug' had been disrupting the earlier launch attempts... but once I'd "upgraded" to Ver. 33.3.0, the smackdown resurrected its ugly head. So from 33.3.0, onward, I'm unable to use the browser, as it will not launch.
Is this a "compatibility" issue needing to be addressed? Or has "Windows 7" support officially been discontinued? (I'm finding no information anywhere regarding the latter concern.)
Thanks.....
Moonchild has made an issue on the Zen Browser project, saying that it uses a trademark owned by Pale Moon on its homepage.
As far as I can find on official trademark search engines of various jurisdictions (US, Canada, BeNeLux), the trademark doesn't exist, and there's also no information or proof provided about the jurisdiction of the trademark (since it needs to be registered in every country individually). But let's see if Moonchild clarifies.
https://github.com/zen-browser/desktop/issues/1931
OS: Nobara 40
terminal error: XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /home/username/Desktop/software/palemoon/libxul.so: libdbus-glib-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Couldn't load XPCOM
i've installed/updated the packages for gtk3 and tried for whatever libdbus-glib-1.so.2 is, but nothing seems to be working and i get the same error out of it every time. nobara is practically identical to fedora (on which it has opened in the past,) and the browser has not yet opened on this machine, it's been doing this since the first boot. i don't know what i could possibly be missing, and i've looked through every thread i could find on related issues, which were mostly on windows, so here i am! please help :)
No clue where to find these, any help is appreciated
also hopefully this thread will be useful to people in the future
Not working on 33.3.0, tested with a clean portable version as well. Pretty sure it's not on PM's end as the site was working recently, after the most recent update. Chrome loads fine.
Any ideas?
Sidebery doesn't work with Palemoon as far as I can tell
No big deal, just went to the PM website to download v33.2.1 and back to normal.
Usually rock solid updates, but it happens
super annoying cant solve them bullshit motorcycle, trafic signal, fire hydrant, bus ,bicycle stairs puzzles
Everything works except for
h1 {
text-align: center ;
color: lime ;
font-size: 24pt ;
border-bottom: none;
max-width: 700px ;
margin: 1em auto ;
background: linear-gradient(to right, #00ff00, #2ab300,#5fff20, #02c543);
-webkit-text-fill-color: transparent;
-webkit-background-clip: text;
}
Specifically the background part. Every other browser displays the h1 properly, with a nice gradient. Palemoon doesn't display the text at all. So I'm not sure where is the issue.
Update: Doesn't work on Basilisk either. It's likely the fault of the old engine not supporting this functionality.
Any click, action, or refresh on the X takes forever to execute. Do you have any suggestions on how to speed up the browsing experience? Thanks in advance.
is there a surefire way to import all the search engines from firefox to pale moon.
so far i've tried to to copy around the search.json files but that doesn't seem to have the desired effect. i only seem to get some of the engines but not all of them.
am i missing something or is it simply not possible?
Is anyone else experiencing this? For the last few days or so, there's a different Reddit login screen that comes up, and Pale Moon neither populates it with my saved logins or even allows a right click to choose a login like other browsers do. Maybe it's some weirdness with my setup, but I thought I'd check before I drive myself crazy trying to figure it out.
I use old Reddit, but new Reddit has the same results.
My personal website is styled in the simple, tiled backgrounds way of the late 1990s. I have a "Button Corner" at the bottom of the homepage with various 88x31 buttons along the lines of "Get Netscape NOW!", or "Best Viewed in 800x600". I was wondering if there are any like that for Pale Moon?
I've had a quick web search already, and I couldn't find any PM related. Also some of those archives for these buttons have their file names just as "button###.GIF", which is a bit hard to search thru. I've also had a look @ PM's website on the Wayback Machine, in case they ever had those hosted there. No dice.
Edit: So, I haven't found any. I ended up making one. Here it is.
its just not loading things. maybe some setting I changed?
what can I check?
its the same for a 3 other sites.
I was trying to see how minimal Pale Moon can be, so I hid all of the toolbars and then closed all open tabs so the tab bar disappeared also. But now I can't figure out how to get them back. Right clicking on the title bar only gives me the options to resize the window or move to another workspace. Right clicking in the window only gives me the usual options to bookmark, save page, view source and a few others, but nothing to restore the menu bar, address bar, tab bar or bookmark bar. This has rendered the browser useless since I can't do anything. I can't input a url or select a bookmark, so I can't even go to a website.
Is it possible to get RES working on Pale Moon, is there a compatible version for it?
The site is girlsreleased.com and I can load the image galleries fine with firefox, but PM regularly fails to display even a single photo on a gallery page.
But not always. Every now and then, PM succeeds in obtaining gallery pages with photos, and I jump on the opportunity to grab what I can with ImageHost Grabber (the only reason I need PM over FF). But before long, the galleries are sure to stop loading the photos again, going back to giving me blank pages. Whenever the pages fail to load the photos, IHG also fails to find any files to download.
Does anyone know the issue?
Name confusion: ηMatrix/eMatrix/ηeMatrix/nMatrix
I have almost completed the process of converting and besides the garbage user interface with a steep learning curve I am not seeing any problems. Looking at tutorials on the web is a good idea with ηMatrix. I started with just blocking scripts and keeping my cookie controller, AdBlocker and video blocker add-ons. Then I stepwise had ηMatrix take over some of those functions and eliminated the old add-ons (except probably the AdBlocker).
I've downloaded this browser in the past and i just downloaded it recently and it's very laggy compared to other browsers but i like the classic look, is there any way to fix this or is there another browser the has the same look as pale moon.
Any working solutions for not being able to open reddit images directly? The addons out there are for only FF and Chrome. I've tried modifying the http headers with every relevant addon from the classic archive, but nothing seems to have worked so far.
