The unholy intersection of psych rock, doom and retro heavy metal. Sing praise to Lucifer.
Occult Rock originated thanks to the likes of Black Sabbath and Coven in the late 60s/early 70s who combined psychedelic rock with occult themes.
In recent times there has been a revival movement of such sounds, fronted by bands such as Ghost, Jex Thoth, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, The Devils Blood, Blood Ceremony and many more. Trad doom and retro-metal is closely tied to this scene and is welcome here.

Hey all. I have a music blog and I'm looking for a couple of writers who would be willing to reviews or editorial type pieces about psych rock and/or occult rock. I'm hoping this person will know that psych and occult rock doesn't equal every doom band on the planet.
If you're interested about more info, DM me or comment here and I'll get back to you soon!
I've seen this person try to post on this subreddit at least twice today, advertising themselves to be a "garage band trio" based out of Arizona or California or something. In reality, their ENTIRE ALBUM they're grifting is just the band Jess and the Ancient Ones pitched shifted down. They have a soundcloud that can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/sorathrocks666 I already reported them to Bandcamp but I am not sure how to do it on Soundcloud! Help me remove these fraudulent tracks from the internet
Hey friends,
Can any one recommend some Spanish-language occult rock? I would be eternally grateful
Are you in a psych rock band? Drop your link here or msg me - if I dig your song I'd like to mix it, free of charge. Send me something good, please!
