Canada Tour , will it happen ?

I have tickets to go see Ghost in Milwaukee but with all the events going on I'd really love to see Ghost in Canada instead for my first time.

Do we think they'll come to Canada for this world tour because I'm thinking of getting rid of my Milwaukee tickets. (If I can)

Mary Goore

I know it's a long shot but on fun theory that I've seen people talking about is that Mary Goore could be Papa V (speculation around repugnant album release on ghost store).

One thing that popped into my head when reading people discuss it was this photo of Tobias as MG with the long nailed gloves, which it looked like whoever Papa V is had in chapter 18 !!

Anyway, regardless of who the next Papa is i really hope we get some news soon it's nearly tour time !!

heavier songs in the next album?

I was designing some stuff earlier and was using the black and silver logo that is being used for the next era and I noticed the colours were similar to Repugnants album cover. And with the re-release of Epitome of Darkness CD (I think it was a cd). Maybe there is correlation and there might be a darker/heavier theme to Papa V's era and album. This is just a theory though and I might be looking too much into it lmao.

I think I might be stupid 🤷‍♀️

What song was used for the transformation of Cardinal Copia into Papá Emeritus IV in the 2019 Concert?

I'm looking for the religious song that Ghost used for the transformation from Popia to Papa Emeritus IV in the 2020 concert It would help me a lot to know what song it is. Thank you for your attention.

An outline for a Meliora musical

I’ve made an outline for a Meliora musical. Why? Cause it sounded like a fun time to me. I’ve made ones for Impera and Prequelle a year or so ago, and felt like exploring this same medium. What do y’all think?

Meliora: the metal opera

Meliora takes place in a neo-futuristic world melding 1920s urban Americana, art deco and cyberpunk all into one setting. The city itself lives a world where god no longer exists, yet the philosophy and psychology of worship still does. It is a world where people follow their own vices just as they’ve followed god. It is an abstract musical that explores different parts of this city existing and adapting to this sense of infinite nihilism, this ideological vacuum - each track explores a different angle of life in this city.

1 - Spirit

Spirit opens in a run down, ruined church with a neon cross in the middle. Worshipers in dirty robes all pray in worship as a preacher, who is wearing the whitest, cleanest robes. The preacher singes the verses and chorus, while the worshipers harmonize during chorus.

2 - From the Pinnacle to the Pit

This track follows an unpopular politician who is very likely going to lose power. Its framed as him simply moving from his lavish home, to meetings, to extravagant parties all the while you only see protestors from a distance, to where you clearly see they exist, but can’t see much else. The song is sung by a mix of TV anchors, radio hosts and the people around him, yet he somehow ignores it all. He is unpopular, has failed, but to him it’s all noise because he has what he wants - excess and luxury.

3 - Cirice

Mirroring this, Cirice follows an opposing politician in a rally. the sequence follows the rally from beginning to end, where this opposing politician slanders the one from FTPTTP, while winning over those listening. The influence has is very much meant to mirror the power dynamic between the preacher and worshipers in Spirit, there is clear power imbalance and this politician is, for lack of a better term, taking advantage of people’s desire for answers and order. This will very intentionally be framed like a Trump ralley, this is a solo number sung by the individual politician.

4 - Spoksonat/He Is

Spoksonat begins slowly guiding you into the slums of this city, and He Is sees a Jesus like figure begin showing kindness and helping people - but there is a sinister tone to this too, of which where people begin dressing just like the Jesus like figure, and worshiping images of him. This figure is also reveling in the attention and cult leader status he is achieving. The song is sung similar to a choir, by the people in the slums.

5 - Mummy Dust

Contrasting this, Mummy Dust follows a rich corporate figure who looks down at the poverty with contempt. He has a rockstar like carelessness to him, where in one verse he is partying with hookers, one where he is looking down at his workers and laughing, and one where he is alone in his penthouse mention. He always had a drink on his hand and humps the air similar to how Papa 3/IV do in concerts. This musical number is pure classless excess by an elite. Where people look for figures to worship, this man worships himself and his money.

6 - Majesty

This track shows a handful of young men leaving their homes, some in secret, and all gathering for a secret meeting of some kind - all these people are from seemingly lower to middle class backgrounds. They appear to make their way to a meeting. Each verse is sung by 2 separate people, and the chorus is sung by all 6 people in unison. They are angry, spiteful revolutionaries flirting with terrorism. They wish to sow destruction and cause pain. They are the embodiment of “The Child Who is Not Embraced by the Village Will Burn it Down to Feel its Warmth”

7 - Devil Church

There is a twist though, remember how I said everything here is abstract and detached? Remember the Trump inspired figure from Cirice? An election is taking place and he won.

8 - Absolution

This figure, who is now the president is using the police and military to control and brutalize. He rounds up the terrorists from Majesty, the detached corpo from Mummy Dust, the Jesus like figure from He is and the previous president. He gets them all sent to prison, though does so by implementing marital law. This is his 2nd solo number.

9 - Dues in Absentia

We’re back in the church from Spirit. A new person enters the church, and is afraid. Each verse js sung by the preacher, and the chorus is sung by the worshipers. This new person is accepted into this church, as they’re defeated and disillusioned by the world around them. This is framed as someone ‘finding salvation’ - but the tone of the track and lyrics suggest that this is simply humanity not learning its lesson - ultimately, the act of worships still remain, and people still look for institutions. Institutions have failed, and yet, you return to institutions for comfort and give them your autonomy.

So yeah, here is my take on Meliora. If y’all are interested - here are my takes on Impera and Prequelle.

Darkness at the Heart of My Love Appreciation Post

That's it. That's all I'm trying to do: shine some light on this amazing song. The lyrics are a little corny, yeah, but the song for some reason just makes me feel calm in an almost euphoric way. Almost elated. It's amazing and I don't think it gets talked about enough.

Interesting coincidence

Hi all! Long time Ghost fan (became a fan just before Prequelle dropped), first time posting here!

I've been meaning to post this for a while, but had forgotten about it until just now, when I was rewatching Chapter 19: "What a Fiasco!", hoping yet again that today would be the day we get more news!! 😆 Anyway...

It reminded me of how I saw this YouTube video by the creator "Minutes of Horror" that was posted a few weeks after Chapter 19 went up. This guy does vids on conspiracy theories/strange coincidences; I have no reason to believe this was in any way a nod to Ghost, but in the spirit of odd coincidences, I just thought it was too cool.

He did a video talking about the vatican doing a ritual in which the pope would be opening a door. Curious enough, shortly after he shows the image of the pope opening the door, he begins showing a clip with this other guy talking, and the background music sounds eerily close to the new track we hear part of in Chapter 19. Its clearly not the same song, and its a common chord progression, but it being in the same key and roughly the same timing sure is interesting, all while talking about the pope opening a door!! 😅

Here's the link. Part I'm referencing begins at 4:10, and music can really be heard starting at 4:45. Turn it up! https://youtu.be/CIJ46kT75BI?feature=shared

Just thought it was neat!

Anyway, hope all of you are having a great day, and my wife, daughter and I are anxiously awaiting our first ritual in Raleigh, NC!

🤘

Canonized ghoul names

I am well aware that someone's going to come along and say "erm, well they're actually called NAMELESS ghouls, hence having no name." What about Alpha and Omega? There are clips of concerts where Papa III would sometimes interact with them, even calling them by Alpha and Omega. Probably because of the symbols on their guitars. I'm pretty sure they're the only one's who have had their names "officially confirmed."

Even if they're the only two that have "official" names, I still think that it's good to have names for each ghoul since I feel like it's a little repetitive to have to say what instrument the ghoul plays and their era. Plus, there have been multiple ghouls to fill some roles as well. It feels odd to say things like: "Yeah, my favorite ghoul is the female bassist from era 3." I do get why people are nitpicking about them not having names; however, I think it's an easier way to refer to each one. Only thing is remembering all the names are difficult lol.

Papa V Design Theory

We’ve seen how papa ii, iii, and Copia are loosely inspired by first row of horror actors. I think if he’s going for the phantom of the opera type theme, papa v’s sculpt might resemble Lon Chaney. Tobias has expressed in interviews how much ghost is inspired by PotO.

Does anyone else think Kaisarion just doesn’t fit in anything??

I was listing to “Rite Here, Rite now”, and they opened with Kaisarion. And to me, it just doesn’t sound like Ghost. I know they’ve always had more catchy/pop/disco influences to their music, but they make it work with the subject matter and blend of metal. to me, it just sounds nothing like anything they’ve ever done. it also doesn’t fit IMPERA either. Its the first track and right after is Spillways and call me little Sunshine, which are done off the best songs they’ve pure out,it kinda sounds like an anime intro or something, it’s just so out of place for them
