Welcome to Dota, You Suck.: Here is a great guide for those starting to learn DOTA 2. It is funny and very informative.
Purge's video guides: A great video series covering some basic stuff for Dota 2. Highly recommend. Make sure to look at the newest videos, some of the old videos are outdated since the game gets updates every now and then that affect game-play.
NotA Youtube Channel The new Youtube channel for NotA. Games from the Winter Tournament will be put here, along with a few other cool things!

With the reintroduction of guilds, I think it's time to revive NOTA as a guild and hopefully get some activity back in here again.
So what is NOTA?
NOTA stands for Noobs of the Ancient, which is a guild that originally started out as a place to find new players and play with them in a controlled environment. Which was far less hostile than the average pub Dota environment.
The mod team learned Dota directly through NotA and remained close friends because of it and we would like the new NotA to replicate such community growth as we believe that it is one of the better ways to experience the game.
Over time the guild expanded and became more of a casual inhouse environment rather than just a place to find some new players and play with them. The guild also hosted a few tournaments in its prime, all of which were pretty well received.
Now that the game has internal support for guilds again, I think it is a perfect time to bring it back and get a similar environment going again.
Since I am expecting the ingame guild to be filled up, here is a link to the Discord I just created for this: http://discord.gg/7SrEnuE
when the game comes back online at least .
edit- since we're back: https://discord.gg/7SrEnuE
but its barebones, im busy and will properly do all the roles later; in like 5 hours or so
Role: off
Language: Spanish / English
Goals and expectations: Looking to find / make a team of beginner player who want to take their first steps into coordinated team play
Time zone: For better coordination hopefully players who live in time zones between and including GMT -6 and -2.
Availability: 3 to 4 games on week days, same amount of games on weekends (maybe more)
Other information: As a beginner team there will be a lot of unranked play, play testing, dumb decisions, so being understanding is very important so that we can do a lot, and I mean A LOT of constructive criticism. Also basic knowledge of game language (mid, off, gank, team composition, etc ...) in expected but not exclusive.
