Are nerdy guys welcome here?

Just curious as I tend to get on way better with my feminine counterparts than I do with guys πŸ˜… I'm not a lads lad at all, I don't do football or going to the pub every weekend, I'd much rather binge a TV Series/Film Marathon, Play video games, board games or watch box breaks than anything predominantly male oriented.

I'm Dan, 34, Male, UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Rocker/Metal Head, I geek out on Pokemon, Digimon, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Movies from the 90s & 00s, Anything Gothic/Steampunk design wise and video games in general 😁 Hope your all doing well too 😁

Streetwear Brand for Nerdy Women

Hi loves fellow black blerdy ( let me know if we like this term for lady blerds) here! Quick little about me- fandom of choice is Anime (Sesshomaru still remains Top Tier), Manga enthusiast, Paranormal Romance fiend, and lover of K-dramas, Frozen-Mocha and Lofi-beats.

Inspired by the lack of options available, I'm ready to shake up the market and offer some new drip. How receptive would "we" be for a street wear brand for nerdy women inspired by favorite fandoms, pop culture etc., that also celebrates and highlights black nerdy-poc women. Serving inclusivity with redesigns of leisurewear like crew shirts, half zips, hoodies, jogger pants with premium fabrics with fits that are slightly elevated but still low-key for Brunches, Cute for First-date relaxed vibes, durable for late night (or Day) tv marathons etc. With eclectic mix of bold and subtle designs all for serving women. I have *spicy ideas and wish to add more representation to the scene, highlighting that we are the demographic, we are consumers, promoting self-love, normalizing our identity and dispelling long fought stereotypes. Not here for the bigotry but staying for the inclusivity~ I have a passion to create a more woman positive geekdom with the hopes of one day expanding that vision for the brand to represent anyone who identifies as a geek and supports women among the nerdy community but never forgetting we stan for nerdy women*

For anyone who identifies as such please comment below. Any and all feedback is good!

Any Fortnite games? 39F looking to make more friends

I'm 39 F and on mic. Been playing FN since Ch1S5 and looking to make new adult (30+) friends. I play build, enjoy moving quickly in-game + having good communication and strategy for each circle phase. I like a combo of chill chit-chat with upbeat vibes, but def take the game seriously too (especially last few circles). I play on NAE most late afternoons into evenings. If you are interested please DM me and I'll share more info + some clips so you can see my play-style.

Struggling to find people with similar interests

Hey. I feel super creepy and stupid even writing this. I struggle so much to find people who have stuff in common with me that aren't men (who realistically I have not had good experiences having platonic relationships with).

I love gaming (story based usually but in many genres), anime, metal music and classic shows and movies like Monty Python. I feel like I would accept even just a few of those in common but none of my close friends have ANY of those in common with me.

I want to be able to share these things with someone and I just feel so alone.

Has anyone had any luck finding online friends in cases like this? And if so where? I don't play online games because of my anxiety and autism so I don't even have friends from that. Any Reddit groups specialise in only one of those interests so I find it difficult to find a crossover.

Sigh, maybe I just needed to vent.

Perfect place for nerdy girls - The world of Modular Syntheses

You like Sci-Fi and do you know the Dr Who theme song? Like that type of music or sound?

Well, that is where my hobby is. Delia Derbishre wrote the title song and is one of the great pioneers of electronic music.

So, my hobby is what Delia did: Simultated Modular Synthesis (digital synthesis, VCV Rack)

https://sisterswithtransistors.com/

If you are into music and like logical puzzles, mathematics or IT, sci fi or all of these and sounds this could be a great hobby for you.

A lot of women are drawn to it as you can see in the movie on my first link. You can download the software on https://vcvrack.com/ for free and install it on your computer and start trying.

You can learn with the help of youtube tutorials and engineer your own sounds and music. Other people play candy crush, I play with VCV Rack.

Now you can make your own Sci-Fi tune. Maybe for your own Sci-Fi story you are writing currently. The world of synthesis is your oyster!
