Anyone know where to find any Noble Cider beverages in the Triangle area – canned, bottled, or on tap — other than Total Wine?
Looking to order some lone star beer but kinda cautious about the site so i would love to hear anyones experiences with the site
It's just about football season, so tailgates are coming. Most of the time people just go for domestic, but I'd rather support craft places. There are some uninspiring generic craft beers to use, but does anyone have any great fall favorites?
Hello NC beer aficionados! This account was recently started by the MBAA District Carolinas Officers as a way to further interact with our peers throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. The Officers are a group of brewing industry professionals from both states who have volunteered to help the district serve and support our members. We're putting on a social event in a couple of weeks, and we'd like to share the info for anyone interested in attending. Info about the event is below.
MBAA District Carolinas Spring Social
We would like to thank all our district members for their continued support of the MBAA during the past few challenging years. We know it hasn't been easy for our industry with shut downs, supply chain issues, labor shortages, subpar crop yields, and inflation all seemingly hitting at the same time. Although the hurdles can seem overwhelming at times, there are still a lot of reasons to be excited about the future of craft beer production. We think it's high time to get together and reconnect as a district.
Please join your fellow District Carolinas members for our Spring Social on Saturday, April 29 from 2 pm - 6 pm at Beer Study Durham where fermentation professionals from across the sister states are welcome to crack a cold one together. Brian Faivre, Director of Brewing Operations at New Realm's production space in VA Beach, will join us to speak about the MBAA and the opportunities it provides its members. You will have a chance to meet your District Officers and provide input on upcoming events such as the Fall Technical Conference that will be held in Boone, NC in late August. This event is open to members and non-members of North and South Carolina so feel free to invite coworkers and fellow industry members and affiliates. The more attendees the better!
WHERE: Beer Study Durham
WHEN: April 29th, 2pm-6 pm
COST: FREE
There are plenty of events in The Triangle before and after the Spring Social so if you're making a drive to attend, make a weekend out of it! There are also plenty of outdoor recreational activities in and around the area. Jordan Lake, mountain bike trails, and plenty of state parks surround The Triangle.
Check out:
Fullsteam's ADSR Beer Release, 4/28
MiLB Durham Bulls v Memphis Redbirds game, 4/28 & 4/29
Glass Jug's Beer Mile, 4/29

And more!
We hope to see you there!
Collaboration Brew Day! Feb 18th: 10am to 3pm @ Raleigh Brewing Co production facility. This event is open to all women interested in brewing a beer with the women from ABS, Raleigh Brewing Co AND other Pink Boots Society members! Ask us about Pink Boots! #assist #inspire & #encourage
For 35 years, http://www.brew-base.com has been located in Raleigh and now Cary, providing online reviews of 4000+ bottled, widely distributed beers, hundreds from NC. Sorry, no local tap-only reviews as we have a national audience. We developed the first computer program for beer selection in 1986 but have shifted to an online platform. Some of you may know us but frankly we're better known in NY and CA so want to reach out to our local industry. Our 4000 label database is 100% free and in fact you can download all our PDF review files without any signup or password. Please give us a look and let us know how we can work better in the NC industry and serve as an information resource for this market.
Recently moved to Linden area from SoCal. Any suggestions of where to find good beer and breweries i should try?
Any good beer shops near Mt Airy NC
Hey everyone, I stumbled upon a really informative Asheville Beer sub reddit last week: ashevillebeer that I think others have already mentioned in this sub.
But I saw that there wasn’t a similar locally-focused one for the Triangle - and decided to start one for the greater Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill/surrounding towns area: trianglencbeer - wanted to create this as a resource for locals or for anyone traveling to the area.
Linked in the Menu there, I’ve got a Google Maps of the area breweries/taprooms and the area bottle shops - so let me know if there’s any from around the Triangle area that I missed
I’m burnt out on IPAs after the last 5 or so years, and craving Belgian style beers again. Rochefort, unibroue, Allagash, Jolly Pumpkin type breweries.
I’ve only been in Charlotte for a few years. I knew of some great bottle shops in RDU but haven’t found anything with good Belgian selections in the Charlotte area due to the strong current IPA focus still. Any recommendations?
So far Southern Spirits in SC seems to have to e best selection for Belgians.
Getting married in Raleigh soon and able to stock our own bar. Don’t want to deal with kegs/returning kegs.
What are the best places to guy beer in bulk in the area? I was looking at Total Wine’s site and they don’t sell by the case. I’d prefer to go local rather than Costco if certain places will offer good deals on cases/bulk orders on local beers. Any insight is much appreciated!
Hey guys, I’m in search of some breweries around the triangle that offer some non-alcoholic brews for my pregnant wife.
We recently visited The Veil in Richmond, VA and were pleasantly surprised that they had a couple non-alcoholic smoothie sours on tap for her to partake. They even offered it in cans so we stocked up and brought some home.
Anyone aware of a place around the triangle that offers this?
Hey I am driving down to the west side of Charlotte from up North by way of Durham. Any recommendations for a great bottle shop along that route where I can get some goodies without going more than a few miles out of my way? Thanks!
I'm trying to find NC examples of Kveik brewed beers, anyone know of any? https://www.hopculture.com/kveik-yeast-pronounce-homebrew-fermentation/
So I'm visiting Charlotte this weekend and am looking for the best breweries to go to.I'm a beer snob. I want to go to a brewery that actually brews interesting, good beers and not just a slop of various flavors of IPAs or Kettle sours.
A brewery that maybe has a cool ship, or does actual sours/funky beers, or especially one that has specializes in Belgian beers.
I am familiar with Birdsong, Catawba, NoDa, OMB, Sugar Creek, Assclown, Heist, Sycamore, Triple C. Name some others!!!!
Thanks.
EDIT: Some I saw while googling and here: Town, Divine Barrel, Vaulted Oak, Salud, Salty Parrot.. I might be good. Thanks all.
Taking a trip down to Calabash to visit some family next week. Any breweries in the area worth checking out?
