Hello! I'm a member of the Gila River Indian Community. I have this Christmas song I wrote and recorded; I hope you'll enjoy it!
I’m always looking for this album I had on CD in the 90s. I’m guessing it came from BMG. I believe the title was Songs of the Spirit but I’ve never been able to find it under that name. It had a pinkish cover with I believe one of those Native American style crosses. I believe first song started (phonetic) O Wa Gi Ne, O Wa Gi Ne… It was a compilation album. I loved that album and would like to find it again. Any help appreciated. Thanks!
I heard this music in California’s Great America (6-Aug around 6:25PM) Their music is so lively and joyful, After I come back , I have searched months and leave message to GA official, but go LY no response , really want to know which band is this, thank you sooooo much!
And what style is thishttps://youtube.com/shorts/p_IrJO06IWA?si=Nd8fbGr32p5sbT6b

I have recently found his music online, I've seen a few different native metal bands like "Ndaaz" from Denver, Colorado. I also saw "When Darkness falls" at stage 49 at Gathering of Nations back in 2011. I have seen and met "Indigenous" three times during the late 90's early 2000's. I pretty much grew up listening to Indigenous, Without Reservation, Julian B, The Atoll, and John Trudell, Robbie Robertson. I even got to see and meet a Tribe Called Red in Denver, and in Albuquerque NM.
I'm just curious what other natives think about his music and image. Indigenous rock/metal, blues, jazz, electronic music, and hip-hop is nothing new. I think non-natives are just hyped up about this band because they play a somewhat underground genre of metal Black Metal, which had it's origins in norway. I think his music is ok but not too different. There is some cedar flute in a few of his acoustic guitar tracks. I kinda think it be more interesting if the cedar flute played along side the metal music. Or there was drum group or handrums in the music too.

My short description: Instrumental music of the artists on flute and acoustic guitar with very occasional reverb. No percussion or vocals.
Description from the album itself: Etched in the Native traditions of Mother Earth, the music of Aaron White (Navajo/Ute) and Anthony Wakeman (Pottawatomi/Lakota) call to the heart and soul of all life. Like a cascade of water trickling through canyons mixed with winds swirling up from the prairies, the sounds of acoustic guitar and cedar flute summon inner calm and quiet strength. Native American Music Award Winner.

Hey guys, this is my Youtube channel that i wanted to share with you. I've been doing videos of my fellow natives from Québec,Canada playing music and lots of others things. I'm from Pessamit,Qc and this channel is my work of the last 3 years. I like to call it passing cultures or even preservation of innu culture. This video is from a band called Ninan. They are from a small town up north called Schefferville (innus named the town Matimekosh) and this is their most popular song called Innu Auass (Innu Children) hope you enjoy.
