In 1492, Columbus encountered the Taíno people in the Caribbean, who were skilled farmers and hospitable hosts. Sadly, Spanish conquistadors came and exploited them, taking their gold and forcing them to abandon their traditions. We still so much to learn. HEAR the whole story HERE
