Why have my pictures started saving blurry

I do really simple lineart in MS Paint and I've never had this issue before but for some reason my stuff has started going blurry between sessions which makes it really hard to edit it. I'm saving as a PNG file and I never resize. Anyone else had this?

red-green-blue artifact in old MS Paint on Windows 11?

Hi all, hoping people have also experienced this and i'm not going insane!

When I screenshot something (using any kind of screenshot program--Snipping Tool, Lightshot, ShareX, you name it) and paste it into my old version of MS Paint from Windows 10, red-green-blue pixels appear at the bottom of the selection. see below.

see above.

This doesn't happen if I paste into GIMP or the current MS Paint (which I'm not a fan of) but on the several older versions of Paint I have it does show up. Is there a setting causing this? It's pretty annoying!

Advice against checered background needed

I need advice, whenever i select anything and move it in MSPaint or delete something the background is checkered instead of White like im used to. I tried googling it but it just tells me to not save as a bmp file. The thing is i open a new project and while working on it i didnt even save yet or decide on a picture format so...

what do i need to click that when i start up mspaint and i select stuff and move it the background does not become checkered anymore?

How do I click and drag resize an image and maintain its aspect ratio?

Windows 11. Other threads have said to hold Shift while you drag. Doing that with left shift does absolutely nothing, doing it with right shift causes the image to shrink super small.

The only way I’ve found is to open the image’s resize window and change the amount there.

Any advice?
