What's something you guys have learned since Mixer has shut down? I learned that not everyone is meant to be in your life or your long time friend. I also learned long the way I found my love for streaming on Twitch and YouTube.
I'm pretty happy with things now a days and I would never change the past, all we can hold onto is the good.
For me it was the hypezones, the friendly people I use to chat to. I had nothing but good memories of the platform over the years. My home these days is Twitch and Youtube, I pretty much just multistream these days.
“What type of mixer is this? Figured someone would know in r/Mixer.” 😁
Ok, maybe I’m showing my age since a kitchen appliance is the first thing that comes to mind when I hear “mixer”. Second is a tie between audio equipment and our long lost streaming service.
Maybe I should give it some time… future generations may eventually post a kitchen mixer here when they find one in a shed or basement. 😆
✌️💛🖖
Not like any other streaming platform was using it - but still, sad to see. 😿

hey everyone.
I’m using a Maono AU-AM200 mixer and an XLR microphone. The audio is clearly being picked up by the mixer because I can hear myself through the headset plugged into the mixer, however, no audio is being sent to my desktop or any of my apps. The headset does pick up audio form my desktop since i can hear music that I'm playnig. I don't have much knowledge about this kind of thing, I just looked up how to set my mixer, did everything right, but my mic doesn't transfer (i think) audio to my desktop.
-The AU-AM200 shows up my sound settings and I selected it as my default input and output device
-I tested the mic in the sound settings but also on AudaCity
-I can hear my voice from the headset connected to the mixer, I can also hear audio played from the PC
-The 'mic' knot is turned to the max
-The 'monitor' switch is turned to the max
-I tried different USB cables, in different ports of my PC, I also tried Bluetooth. still nothing.
What could be the issue? maybe the usb cables? audio from pc is transfered to the mixer and to the headset, but not the other way around, from mic to mixer and pc? I really dont know what to do, neither if this is the correct sub to post this in.
I’m going to start using my channel as a hub for rotating streamers just like Mixer used to do with Hypezone. I miss that so much! So I’m gonna give this a try. It could be really cool to build this into a community thing and different people choose who we watch or what games /channel types we watch.
Any techies with advice on how I can automate channel switching? In the meantime.. the hype zone is back baby! …..
With 1 person so far hahaha. Anyone down to join and bring back the hypezone vibes?
Hi everyone
For context on my current setup, I play Fortnite with my son (8 yo) almost every day after work. I call his mom on FaceTime so I don’t use the game’s voice system (it’s not age appropriate) so we can communicate and win games. I can’t use headphones because I have two audio sources, FaceTime and game, so I have to level out the game audio so it doesn’t interfere with the iPhone mic as much, but not too low so I can’t hear other players’ footsteps for example. I’m wondering if there’s a way to have a setup where I can hear game and FaceTime audio at the same time in my headphones, and with an external mic to talk to my son, but he can only hear my voice and not the entire game. A mic feedback will be appreciated but not mandatory
In my investigation I saw this device Joyo momix but dont know if will meet my needs. What do you advise?
Man, we need a similar site these days...At least from when Mixer was at its best.
Guys, can anyone help me to remember the name of a streamer?
Thanks in advance
This is a new platform in development that has a lot of potential. They already have low latency, though it isn't quite on Mixer's level (yet), they are planning a huge update soon. So you may want to join and hit register, so that way you can still have the special Beta badge before they eventually feel ready to launch!
I've had the honor of being one of their early alpha testers, and I must say, though the platform is in its early development, I can see so much potential! Once this huge update is out, there will likely be a couple of key features that are currently missing, added in their basic forms. I am not at liberty to say what the features are (dont know the exact features, and a NDA of sorts), but they will help with many aspects of the platform's growth.
If you miss Beam, Mixer, and Glimesh; I feel that you should definitely check out SharePlay for the next version of Mixer's future! Twitch definitely needs the competition.
BTW: To join, hit the icon in the upper right, then in the pop-up, hit "Claim your PlayTag."
wow, it's been over 4 years since it closed, but how nice to have someone start a nostalgic discussion in this subreddit every now and then. That's why I miss it. not so much the super low latency and animated stickers, but this community. it was always cozy and close-knit, and I miss you guys in normal life situations.
you guys are really cool, let's not forget about each other to this day. still.
Would I be able to connect a Bass and Guitar into channels 3 and 4 to take advantage of the impedance pad on those channels? I’m going to use 5 and 6 for stereo electric drums.
Hi
I feel a little dumb, read the manuals and do my research with no luck.
I have a Mackie Mix8 mixer, with an effect loop using the AUX SEND / AUX RETURN from the mixer.Everything is fine, I can hear the effects, except that the dry signal is still here, mixed with the wet one.
What I want : just listening to the wet signal, and muting the dry one. I don't know how to do it on this mixer. When I put the "Level" to 0 on my input channel, no signal will be send to the AUX SEND.
thanks for the help!
Is mixer down for anyone else or just me??
Bought for 25 bucks yesterday. Have changed the power cable. How can I connect it to my focusrite 18i20 or computer to record throught it?
Anything helps
Whenever I speak too loud into my microphone the mixer cuts off all the sounds for like 5 seconds and then comes back. How can I fix this?
Are there any tricks to make my PA system sounds good or it's just experience and I will eventually get better at adjusting my system for live performance?
I apologize if this is the wrong sub to post in. I have a Xone 23 mixer with two turntables and active speakers hooked up to it. I would like to also connect a vintage Sansui RA500 reverb amp through the Xone. I have never used the Return/Send FX inputs on this mixer and wondering if that is where the reverb amp should connect, or if it is even compatible? TIA
I just bought some decent headphones, i had been using headsets for years. The headsets I used had sidetones(the ability to hear yourself, without delay in the headphones). I used the headset with a Blue Yeti mic. I was wondering, if i could plug in the microphone in one of the inputs on a mixer and the audio out from my pc into the mixer so i can get myself again. When gaming, or watching things and trying to have a conversation its difficult to speak properly when I have not monitor.
I can plug headphones into the "headphone" jack on the button of the yeti, but it its 24bit sample rate and it pops and just sounds like garbage in general. However, if i plug another audio cable into it, and use a y splitter it does the job, just significantly reduces volume and quality of the income pc audio.
My question is if i can use a mixer to mix in that monitor without harming quality or volume, or if anyone has any other idea, that doesnt involve spending too much money.
For example, plugging pc into the line in, and running another cable from the mic into this ones "headset" or "line in" or use an adapter and plug into the xlr port, because its a 3.5mm plug. And then running the headphones into my headphones. https://i.imgur.com/DFshbh8.jpeg
I'm planning to get a mixer for homestudio. Is MG1200 good enough for home stduio use? I found it pretty cheap and I'm concerning if it does't sound good. Also is this a realiable model of mixer? Does it come with USB connectivity in order to connect to my laptop ?
I have stuff setup for general chat channel followed, channel subbed, resubbed, gifted. Events in my youtube chat trigger commands, like !whatever and such but not when someone subs to my youtube channel
Hi. Maybe this is an obvious question, but I can't find a clear answer in the manual, so... can someone help me figure out how I can use a reverb pedal for all the channels of this mixer? I see that we can use the computer/USB chain to send effects, but there's no design scheme for this pedal scenario. Is it possible via the FX OUT or AUX OUT? Thanks in advance. Cheers!
