The level of detail in this game is incredible! I have over 100 hours into this game and I just learned that if guards are left face down in the water they will drown.

They were two S ranks that I was planning on capturing, so I used sleeping gas on them first. I definitely saw the sweet dream Zzzzz’s before moving on to take out their comrades. When I came back to get them, this is how I found them.

I’m playing this game called “My Time at Sandrock” and this creature and its description scream MGS to me. The eyepatch, “Punished” in the name, and endless battlefield all made me think it might be a reference.

Pic related. Beat first run on hard with Otacon as choice for camo. Helicopter on extreme was a nightmare. I didn't like the game because it lost so much of the atmosphere of original and improved AI didn't work well with Shadow Moses's environment. Guide from Serebicus at gamefaqs helped a lot.

November 17 is the 20th anniversary of the game. I really have high hopes that we will find out about the release date of Delta. Or, most likely, we'll get a demo :D

I'm on PC playing the master collection version. I picked up the second bomb sensor and got the codec call from Stillman saying I have 300 seconds to get the last bomb, then it fades to black and freezes. Can't open menu, can't move or even reset game. Luckily I'm just replaying the series so it isn't a huge deal but definitely frustrating considering I hadn't saved at all

OK so the 17th is coming. They've done a great job keeping a release date under wraps. But I believe we will learn something on the anniversary. And did ya notice how in the Eva interview the mentioned the anniversary in a way?

I am hoping we will be playing before December.

Just picked up a ps5, my first console since the OG PlayStation.

Sole reason I got it is to play snake eater when it comes out next month.

1. What other MGS games are worth playing on PS5?

2. Are there any I should avoid because remasters like Snake Eater might be in the pipeline?

Does anyone else feel like they've been marketing this game alot for a game with no release date? Is it just Konami fumbling the bag and marketing way to early for casuals to remember this game is coming out?

So I've always been interested in the series but never played it. I only have ps5 and kings confused by the different versions on ps store. Should I wait for the mgs3 and 4 remake? Or what's the best way to play through the main games on ps5?

I am currently fighting Sahalanthropus for the first time and I am wondering if there is a gimmick or something cuz this boss (like every other in the game) sucks fucking balls, I run around launch rockets at him get hit and eventually run out and the supply drop is like 8 miles north so I just run there cuz no vehicles work and once I get there I just launch more rockets. It is idiotic and repetitive without any checkpoints throughout. I got to the point where you get to shoot gas mask mcfuckface and stun the mech but honestly if there is no work around this god awful boss fight then I might leave the game here. I honestly don’t see the Kojima glaze, he put a high action explosive scene were you have to run around and dodge bullets inside of a game about slow stealthy quite operations. Ok enough with the rant does anybody have any advice for this??

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm new to gaming in general...momma hated video games when I was a kid (forbidden from playing fortnite as a teenager due to it being "sick and violent" and "promoting killing", was told even if I bought a playstation with my own money I would not be allowed to bring it in the house), so I would just watch walkthroughs and lets plays of any video games I wished I could play for myself. Now I'm an adult, and I was finally able to buy my first gaming laptop this past September. Time to make up for lost time!

I have determined that attempting to play MGRR (yes, I know, I'm waiting on the mgs master collection to go on sale) on my laptop with a mouse and keyboard is gonna make me put my head through the wall. I was wondering for those of you who play on a computer, what controllers do you use to connect to your pc or laptop? Does it have to be playstation brand to work or could I just grab one of those unbranded ones from Walmart or Amazon?

I recently picked up the HD collection for the switch and was completely BLOWN AWAY by how perfect MGS1 was. I immediately dove into 2 and was first let down by playing as Raiden but he quickly grew on me and I might even like him more than Snake since he's able to move so quickly with the front handspring. Now here comes the most overhyped MID game I have ever experienced, all I have heard is "this is the BEST of the series" and I quite frankly hated every moment learning MGS3.

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH EVA. I swear the fan base posts about her like she's some amazingly written developed character but she is just so annoying (not as annoying as Rose I guess) and would never just let me do my mission, the story absolutely didn't need her.

Hunting for animals is just a time wasting chore and while the camo is a cool concept, I didn't even need to use more than half (yes I'm on HARD) just felt like another waste of filler space to me. I was excited to play Delta but I'll be doing a hard pass.
