I don't understand why everyone says he is "such an easy boss once you figure it out" but I know all of his moves and some just aren't avoidable, I've tried using the chaff grenades but they only help in faze 1 of the fight, he deflects bullets, and my "combos" never work because this game is so janky I'll hit 1 maybe 2 and rarely the third if I even go for it which barely does any damage anyway, so he starts saying how "only a fool relies on a weapon" and then proceeds to still use his magic sword and invisible armor, then I finally get him to the cutscene "I've waited for this" so I go to fight him and he immediately teleports behind while I'm stuck standing still and one shots me like it's a CoD finisher.

Oh, and before I forget I've already talked to Campbell but he basically just says "I've got no idea who he is" so what is this whimsical trick everyone seems to know that magically makes this boss 10 times easier (or so I've heard)?

ngl. That square pixeled Meryl is pretty sexy, except her face is no different than Psycho Mantis without the mask, but do I really need to achieve an "permanental arthritis" hidden mark in this game? I did a dumbbells routine to make my biceps shaking once, didn't work. I am not an alcoholic, so I can't get a "tremor" condition to surpass this. I even tried a whatever it called "a spoon trick", I felt myself like a complete idiot and ngl I wasn't upset. Poor snake was BBQ chicken in the beginning of 2nd round after that spoon. And now I have to wash that useless spoon after it done nothing.

I have a lot of online processed materials. However, I can't use them when developing stuff or expanding my base. How do I make this stuff usable? Man I hate K*nami.

Does the moment you unlock her not make sense to anybody else? Venom snake says he prefers working solo and then gets in the chopper, leaving quiet down below. Then all of a sudden quiet is available for deployment. It’s not a big deal or anything but just weird to me

Ever since Akira it seems that if the media I consume has a funicular in it I will inherently adore it. Akira is my all time favorite anime movie, and in order to get to Akira a funicular must be used. When Snake goes to see Raven in the maintenance building he travels down on a funicular. And I love Metal Gear Solid.

Now here’s where the “coincidence” comes in. In another stealth series, Deus Ex (that we will unfortunately never get another installment of), there’s a funicular that Adam Jensen rides down. Maybe I’m just grasping at straws here, but I always like to think that the devs at Eidos-Montreal put that funicular into the game as an homage to Metal Gear Solid.

Anyway, that’s my 1am thought that no one asked for about 2 different video games and a classic anime!

You had a rough childhood, but you never gave up hope. You are even amazing off, you're a great husband and father, sometimes I even call you dad. I forever dread and weep, thinking of the day you will one day retire. I would sacrifice my ownlife it were the only thing that could puta smile on your beautiful face. You have given me so much joy, and heartbreak over the years. I remember when you first left konami and its like my heart got broken into a million pieces. But a tear still fell from my right eye when I watched you make death stranding, because deep down,my glorious king deserved it. I just wanted you to return home. Then allas, you did, my sweet baby boy came home and I rejoiced. 2015 was a hard year for us baby, but in 2016 you made history happen. You came back from your video game break and I couldn't believe it. Heard baddish(?) things about this game but it being a mix of Front Mission and Metal Gear… I had to try. I’ll let y’all know my thoughts.

I was going to check on the latest news for metal gear. Solid Delta and realized one of my friends plays it all I know about him he’s a Xbox Gold member or something like that and he holds the most espionage points for mgsv for doing fobs I only meant him when he attacked my mother base on their … for him holding the most points on the world leader board and being a streamer on four different platforms could he have early access ? …

This game is so annoying. Ok, ok….. maybe it’s not annoying and I just have to retrain my brain to play it, but it’s incredibly irritating. Maybe I haven’t given it the attention it deserves? I just can’t seem to get through 3-4 screens without being spotted. It’s maddening! 🤣

I’m also not very far in, but I’ve noticed a few too many similarities of MGS. Even in MG1 the tank between the building is just recycled in Solid. Were these just the prototypes for MGS? I’m getting strong Evil Dead/Evil Dead 2 vibes in how similar parts of MG2 and MGS are. So far it feels like Devolver Digital de-make of Metal Gear Solid.

In the end I’ll probably just YouTube it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I want to try to get my dad into MGS, because it is possibly my favorite game series of all time. He's not really a gamer at all and has mostly just played old arcade games like space invaders or pac-man. I want to know what y'all think would be the best MGS game to start him with. My main choices are between

-MGS 1: First in the series, simple arcade-like controls. It doesn't look as good as 2 or 3 but it's got a lot of style to make up for it.

-MGS Twin Snakes: Similar simple control scheme, with higher fidelity graphics. In my opinion the art direction is not as strong here, and I don't like some of the sound direction either. Still a strong pick.

-MGS 3: It's just so good. Looks great, has an awesome James Bond-esque vibe (even compared to MGS 1). My biggest concern here is the relative complexity of the controls, especially with the camera (the now common twin stick setup can be hard to get the hang of for newcomers). I know that you can use a classic style camera, but I've heard that its not great in practice in this game, so I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts about which one would be the best to start him on and why!

What's causing this non-stop beeping sound? Is it just because my stamina's in yellow?

In previous games this sound indicates that you're poisoned or otherwise losing health iirc, but as you can see my health isn't draining here.

i’m trying to finish mgsv before i move onto the master collection, and i’m at mission 45 but i can’t actually do it at all, i’ve gotten to the point where you get a 30 sec break and then the tank with the bunch of missiles appears, im able to get that one and the 2 with infantry after but as soon as i get those two i get immediately nailed by a round shot from a tank ages away without me seeing it does anyone have any tips for this or do i just have to get better?
