Anybody using one of these yet? Thinking about grabbing the 512gb version with 16gb of ram
I still got my Maschine studio ( I use the plus since release) when I bought the studio it was really cheap like 300 instead of 900. But on arrival I know why, there was no software included and on the box a sticker “demo model, not for resale” and I got it from a shop that doesn’t exist anymore…
How much do you think the studio would still be worth without the soft (that you can purchase. Seperatly for 99 I think) it’s still in pristine condition, just a minuscule 2 mm light scratch on one side. And it works with 3.0.
Share your stuff! I’d love to hear about your process and inspirations.
Just had a thought . Can the new Machine+ completely replace my MK3 - like for like ..i.e it acts the same as the MK3 when plugged into my MAC..and is a dumbed down version in stand alone mode?
So after all the moaning about MK3 Ive doubled down and bought the Machine+ second hand. Mainly because my main studio is freezing in the winter and I sometimes just want to sit and make tracks sat elsewhere. Ive been in the NI eco-sytem since 2014 so may aswell keep going.
So heres my question. My M1 Mac and MK3 have all presets / samples ( I have absolutely loads as Ive been producing since the 90's ) stored on a 2TB Sandisk extreme portable SSD into the Mac USB3 connection.
I want to keep everything as is on my studio set up with the Maschine+ ...( I know I cant use the all the plug ins synths etc ) ...easiest for me would be to buy another SSD and duplicate it.
Would this duplicated or just use the same drive SSD work if I plugged it into the Maschine+ ( i.e load my Massive / FM8 presets/ load samples ) .to save money could I just swap the external drive over between maschines?
Any thoughts ...haven't got the Maschine+ till weekend so getting prepared for it coming
Hello! I have sampled a bass note C2. Obviously, when I simply play that note on my midi keyboard, the sample becames stretched, eg it plays faster on higher keys. Is it possible to turn a simple note into an instrument that plays normally? Thanks for your replies!
I’m stuck between getting a maschine plus or a mpc one, it would be mainly for sitting on the couch sketching out rough ideas. I have a main setup already, I just need something for when I’m tired of my surroundings. I will not be sampling a lot so which would you recommend?
Hi everyone! I was working with my teacher last Sunday and when we tried to use the maschine software as a plug-in in Cubase, it did not recognized any plugins installed on the system.
When we opened the maschine software as standalone, it recognizes all the plugins and works as a charm!
Hardware/software that we’re using:
MacMini M2 Pro running macOS Ventura Maschine MK3 Steinberg Cubase 11
I just sold my Maschine plus for a multitude of reasons (using an Ableton push being the biggest), but it only just occurred to me that maybe I would have kept it if it had mouse functionality to edit the midi. That was always the most laborious part for me and killed my flow. Would have been great to have a mouse or even mouse pad to navigate to notes and change lengths etc. maybe I’m on my own though!
I recently got a Maschine Jam on a whim. I mostly use Traktor, and for that I have the requisite controllers, and FL Studio for production.
I know that Maschine Jam is performance-oriented. I can see myself using it for a live set, after I MIDI map...well, a lot of things :)
I know a lot of you use Jam as an adjunct to a "regular" Maschine. I wonder - why? How is Jam different from a Maschine? I know I can ask ChatGPT and I did but given it's questionable reliability, I would much rather get some real feedback.
I just picked up a used M32 and am looking for some pointers for how to set up correctly to use as a 2nd (or 1st) controller for bashing out melodies & playing drums kits.
It's my first ever keyboard, I thought it could be an intuitive tool to have for this use as sometimes I need more pads than are on the MK3 when writing melodies/accessing parts of kits.
The maschine software is not showing on native access. Do i have to buy it?
Mac OS user here, just bought a Maschine Mikro.
I have an updated version of Native Access and entered my Maschine serial number per the instructions on the card.
But, the software does not show up in Native Access - even if I search for it. I've rebooted twice, still nothing.
If I go to the Native Instruments website it looks like I can buy it the software?
Something is not adding up...
FWIW, I've used NA with Kontakt for many years and am reasonably familiar with the application. Thanks...
Hey, I’ve got this sick sample I want to use, but I’m trying to chop it naturally, and ChatGPT couldn’t help me out. I’m in manual mode and everything, but when I do what it says, the sounds overlap, and I still can’t get it to chop properly. What am I doing wrong?(auto snap is already turned off)
Hello all,
im trying to send Midi to an external synthesizer from the Maschine Plus while in Controller Mode. I couldn't quite get it to work. Online someone mentioned that the Midi Ports are deactivated by default for the Maschine Plus in Controller Mode, but I cant find a way to reactivate them.
For a little extra context, im running Maschine 2 as a plugin in Ableton 11 and im trying to send Midi to an old synthesizer that only has 5 pin Midi ports. Furthermore, do the External Inputs of the Maschine also need reactivation? I was kinda expecting this to work without problems since the MK3 can also do all of this.
Thanks in advance!
I recently purchased a Maschine MK3 and successfully registered the serial number through Native Access. It confirms that the product is registered and shows the message:
"You have successfully registered Maschine MK3. If you are unable to install the product, you might need to locate the installer of the product first."
However, the Maschine software does not appear under Installed or Available products in Native Access. I have refreshed the app multiple times, confirmed that my account matches the registered product, and tried downloading the software manually, but I am still unsure how to proceed.
Could you please assist me in locating the correct installer or resolving this issue so that I can access the Maschine software
I discovered this baby at a friend's place who doesn't use it anymore. Haven't done anything production related ever. I just play some instruments and DJ. Is it worth figuring this thing out or is it not supported anymore and thus trash? Can I connect it to Rekordbox or play live with my mixes somehow?
If yes, where do I start? Most things here seem very focused on the next generation.
I. Should know this But
Does the maschine Mk3 have a stop watch, counter or something to tell me.how Long the track is.in real time. Apologies. If its a silly question.
Hey everybody, I’m kind of new to Maschine, I’ve always just used my Mikro as a midi controler for other vst drums. I finished producing an EDM song and I want to figure out how to make a live set, my research thus far has led me to either Traktor and Maschine but I’d rather use Maschine since I’m more familiar and trying to avoid purchasing more hardware. Long story short how should I go about taking a song produced in a DAW and putting it into Maschine for live performance?
I was wondering if I can use maschine micro mk3 with battery standalone in Ableton with midi mapping. or are there any other controllers that I can buy
How do I add an empty space for a drop on the scenes
Hi everyone! I have bought a used Maschine Mikro MK3, which have a very dull screen. After failed attempts to fix it, now the screen is "officially" broken. I can't seem to find the information displayed by the screen anywhere in the Maschine 2 software. I have read that some people also have problems with the small screens on these devices, so I guess someone may have workarounds. Thank you so much!
P.S. I have contacted Native Instruments for the fix, but I can't send the unit to them since the shipping costs more than what I paid for it (about 80 Euros, I'm in SEA)
Is it possible to control with Maschine everything in Reaktor / Block primes?
If yes, how does that work?
Hey guys,
I am a Maschine+ user and the one thing I struggle with is making melodies that make beats energetic and danceable. I am primarily trying to make trap beats in the style of Travis Scott and Metro.
When I lay out my drums, it sounds pretty energetic. But the second I try to layer on chord progressions or individual melody notes, the beat just takes on this slow moodiness and loses all its bounce. I don’t know if I am messing up something with the instrumentation or the rhythm, but I cannot get anything to sound bouncy.
I’ve tried watching YouTube tutorials, but they are almost all in FL studio and seem to be a lot of random mouse dragging with chords, with no real explanation of what they are trying to accomplish. If possible, I want to be able to work primarily on the device and on my midi keyboard, but achieve the same energy.
I think in general, I am a bit confused about a lot of things. what a chord progression really is, how it differs from a melody, do you need both, are they supposed to be different instruments, which creates the bounce, how should it interact with the drums, how do you create the bounce, etc, etc. And the more YouTube I watch, the more confused I end up.
Anyone else have this struggle? Any thoughts on what I may be missing?
Just ordered the mikro mk3 mainly to use for finger drumming, using superior drummer for sounds. Any tips or tricks to get things set up, quirks to look out for or just any general advice to get things up and running as best as possible? Or is it pretty straight forward, plug and play? Using m1 pro macbook pro running the last version of os 12 and studio one version 5, again eith the last version of 5.
Thanks!
I wanted to store my samples from splice and what not on the drive and access them on the m+ but the drive isn't even being recognized now. It did however seem to recognize it on one occasion but when i opened it none of the samples I transfered would show up in the m+. I formatted it to exfat from the pc and m+
I bought this USB flash drive : SanDisk 512GB Ultra Fit USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive - Up to 400MB/s, Plug-and-Stay Design - SDCZ430-512G-GAM46
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
