A subreddit for creators of industrial, noise, and experimental electronic music. Discuss track creation and techniques - synth creation, drum programming, sample processing, etc. There are many great subreddits for discussing various experimental genres of music and sound, as well as specific equipment and software.
Please discuss techniques, ideologies, and approaches towards experimental music here, and look to these other subreddits for discussing music and tools in general:

For years I have lamented the state of weak 4$$ pedal reviews done by guitar-nerds who never seem to have the guts to explore the upper limits of what their pedals can do. Gain, distortion, etc. ? oh geez, let's never push those knobs beyond noon! Instead let's talk endlessly about how a sick fuzz pedal "cleans up nice" when you roll back the volume knob on your guitar! Yeah I get it; you worship old blues guitarists, & your holy grail of tone lies somewhere in the realm of a 1950s amp pushed /slightly/ beyond it's limits in a smokey nightclub and yeah, those are great; but I wanna know if this pedal can melt my f-ing face off with the power of a thousand Sunns! Can it squeal and explode as if my guitar was strung with electric eels, and my amplifier was a world-ending volcano of doom? Does this pedal have the power to bring the dinosaurs back from extinction, dose them all with LSD and send them rampaging through derelict suburban shopping malls??
I'm not sure what that means exactly, but this guy just dimes it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIMByusRmio&t=383s
What is the cheapest mixer you'd suggest?
I got sick of watching pedal reviews/demos by guitar-dorks who seem afraid to really push the limits of what a pedal can do, so I made this little video showing off each of my cheap little delay pedals ($35, $30, $15) by themselfs. (Maybe in a later video I'll chain them all together at once.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRZUZlzjGaUv Enjoy.
If I’m running the 0coast output audio into the external audio input of the Strega is it best to use the line output?
I guess going off that, when do you utilize the other output? Is that only with other modular gear?
I'm thinking of having the vocalist in my jam band to create sound fx during the long jams using a contact mic noise box with springs and other metal things.
Would the sound of the band cause unwanted vibrations to the springs and produce unwanted sounds? And if so, would it even be a deal big or noticable?
I'm a newbie to the world of noise music and haven't used one of these noise boxes before. Thanks!
Set up a LPB effect on breadboard, currently inputs from a piezo and outputs to a guitar jack. The LPB runs on 9V battery. I’d like to wire a 3.5 mm jack to be able to switch between between the piezo input and the 3.5 mm jack. If possible, I’d even want another switch that connects the aux to a speaker inside the box to have the piezo pick up the vibration of the speaker. I’m new to circuits and would really appreciate the help.
