Hello, I am working on an Image Processor.
There are thousands of them already, I know. But I couldn't find anyone that would let me:
So with that said, that's what Squeeze does. It looks like this:
You can see the queue part where each image has been compressed or deleted.
This is where you can flip between the original and compressed image, to make sure you didn't remove detail in images.
And the "difference" looks like this:
It basically shows where pixels have been changed in the compressed image, it's quite handy to guide you where to look, because sometimes compressed images become worse, but it's hard to pinpoint where exactly.
---
Currently in beta, so I am looking for some feedback. Here are some codes that should be claimable (first email to activate with it, will get it)
And as I am testing the Gumroad integration too, here is a 100% off discount code that has 4 uses: MACAPPS4
---
You can download here: https://jontelang.com/squeeze/
BETA is limited to JPG, and running without license allows max 5 images in the queue.
Title says it all. I would like to get off the Loom subscription plan for something local that has these features:
Hi everyone,
When I committed to using my mouse less, I looked for a tool to create custom keyboard cheat sheets but couldn’t find the right fit. So, I decided to built KoalaKeys. It generates stylish, customizable HTML cheat sheets you can use practically anywhere - locally or hosted.
You can find the GitHub repo here: KoalaKeys
I am also hosting a public instance here: KoalaKeys Demo
Looking forward to your feedback!
Do you know of any extension that allows you to contain your extensions in Safari like Chrome?
To be more specific I am talking how Chrome has a single button and all extensions are there in a list and you can pin those that you really need on the toolbar.
I can use tiptap left/right (3 finger fix) but when i set the tiptap left/right (1 finger fix or 2 finger fix) it doesnt work.
All your tags are belong to us
My hunch is that it does not, but what I'm looking for is an app that consolidates files/folders, Notes, and Reminders with a given tag into a single view.
For example, I create several documents tagged as project a, saved in various folders. I also create notes and reminders with the same tag, so ideally, I’d like a way to view all files, notes, and reminders associated with project a tag into a single view.
I know a Smart Folder can gather tagged files, and it would be great if calendar events could also be included, though there’s no tagging system for events.
Apple has created a half-arsed system, IMHO - you can tag files/folders, Reminders, and Notes, but there's no system in places for a third-party app to access this data to display a combined view. While we can grant apps access to Calendar and Reminders, just not Notes. Freeform shows some promise, but development is glacial, and it doesn't support tags either.
Is there anything remotely like this out there?
Thanks
I'm an independent developer passionate about creating tools that enhance productivity. I recently developed Clip Log, a minimalist clipboard manager for macOS, to help users manage their clipboard history with ease and efficiency. As a bootstrapped project, Clip Log was built from the ground up without external funding, driven solely by the desire to simplify workflow for others.
I'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and suggestions to make Clip Log even better. Feel free to try it out and let me know how it fits into your daily routine!

Hello mates,
as the title says, I need an app which capitalizes the first letter of any sentence system-wide. I tried TextExpander and Typinator and I'm not happy with them.
any advice? thanks!
Is there an app that adds the option of being able to minimize full screen applications?
Why can I not minimize full screen apps on Mac os? Coming from Windows this is extremely annoying.
For years, I kept a text editor open on my computer at all times and when I needed a scratchpad, I would switch to it and type or paste whatever I needed. Then Raycast came along with it's floating notes feature, which is nice. It can be summoned with a hot key. Then I found Scrap Paper, which can also be called with a hotkey, syncs between computers and has an iOS version. You can hide the icon in the menu bar if you just want to use the hotkey. Furthermore, you can have the text window stay on top of all other windows, which is a feature I want. Finally, I saw Scratchpad on and I thought I'd give it a try. It has everything Scrap Paper has, but can also be launched from the dock. It adds
Because it's text, you get access to the writing tools, spelling and grammar, substitutions, speech and the Mac Services menu. One awesome feature is the ability to use Quicklook on a link, which opens a small window with a live view of the web page, similar to the Little Arc feature in the Arc browser.
Scratchpad offers scripting and shortcuts support. You can enter text onto Scratchpad from any app that can open a URL.
There is a fully functional free trial of the macOS app available here. The only limitation is a reminder to buy the app every 12 hours, and no automatic updates. All data and settings carry over if you buy it on the App Store.
Scratchpad is available in the Mac App Store for $5. It's by well-known Indy developer Sindre Sorhus.
Hello, folks. I'm posting this because a certain developer keeps deleting their posts, thinking it's a clever move. Surprise for them—I have rewind too!
Here's today's deleted post: link. As expected, it's gone, but I've saved the image and comments: Imgur link.
And here's the post from yesterday: Imgur link. I've also got the images and my comments. The original Reddit post was here: link.
Notice that both posts come from different accounts, each promoting this sketchy app. Is it really local if the advertising is this shady? I doubt it.
Here are the two accounts: Spirited-Savings-851, which posted today but has since deleted its posts. Fortunately, I have rewind, and here are the images: Imgur link.
And the account from yesterday, also deleted: Beautiful-Part7599, with more deleted posts: Imgur link.
That must be frustrating for them. Anyway, I hope you don't subscribe to this service or take this person seriously.
For a bit of fun, here's their site: link.
Hey all,
Meet Helm for App Store Connect.
a few months ago I was so sick of having to login to App Store Connect for the hundredth time that I decided to start working on a macOS app that would help me update my apps more easily.
I knew there were a few alternatives but none of which I really enjoyed using. After spending a day getting a POC ready, I quite quickly noticed that the App Store Connect API is tough! It's not very straight forward and a lot of the content or functionality has to be requested with a lot of nesting.
I quickly asked a good friend of mine, Pol Piella, to help me with this, and that's where the magic started. He focused on getting the data right while I continued on the UI and product side. Pol also wrote a lot of articles about how we handled some of the data.
After a few months and a successful beta, we decided it was time to launch… Now, only 5 months later, it has been used by almost 5,000 developers, and we have been shipping a lot of different features!
In short: Helm is the fastest way to ship your app updates and helps you with ASO, translations, TestFlight management, and even makes screenshots a breeze.

Looking for an URL shortener that runs under High Sierra.
I used "Short Menu" for years, but it has suddenly stopped working, and the version they offer on their webpage is not compatible with my computer.
Any recommendations?
Hi 👋🏻
I’m the Developer of Start. Yesterday, the update for Start to version 8.2 was released. 🎉
For those who aren't familiar with Start, here's a quick summary: Start is a tool for organizing and launching applications, files, folders, and URLs. You can assign a hotkey to any entry if you wish, allowing you to open applications, files, folders, etc. with a keyboard shortcut. You can also open entire groups of programs, files, folders, etc. at once via hotkey. This can be especially useful for opening all resources related to a current topic at the same time. 😎
For more information about the features, please take a look at the Start website.
Here’s a brief summary of the changes in the new version.
While Start 8.0 focused on implementing access to recent files, Start 8.2 aimed to simplify the configuration. In the past, I’ve often received feedback that although Start is very powerful, its configuration was unnecessarily complex. With Start 8.2, I want to change this, so the configuration dialog has been revised. Previously, Start had two configuration dialogs: one for displaying the stored entries and another for editing tags. Both have now been combined into a single, easy to use configuration dialog.
Additionally, there were adjustments to the code: Start uses data from Spotlight to track applications and recent files. The detection of added or changed entries has been significantly optimized in Start 8.2 (which is important for an application that runs continuously in the background).
To also provide visual variety and flexibility, 100 new icons for tags were added.
With the release of Start 8.2, I also have some promo codes available. Please note if someone has used a code. Thanks! 🙏🏻

Start is available on the Apple AppStore and on Setapp. You can find more information about Start on its website. There, you’ll also find a free trial version.
Start 8.2 in detail:
The configuration dialog has been completely revised to provide you with an even better user experience:
These new features have made the previous configuration dialog "modifyTags" obsolete and it has therefore been removed.
What's new otherwise?
Hello!
I am looking for a way for the Mac to create an e-mail with personalization based on a table with several entries. Is this possible with Thunderbird? The placeholders should be name, e-mail address and another name.
Does anyone know of a tool?
many thanks for your answers :)
Is this possible? I'd rather not have a replacement app for Finder. I don't necessarily want to grant access of all my folders and file names to another app, but every time I open Finder it seems (I use column view almost exclusively), I have to readjust the size of the columns to see all the file names.
If someone can help with this, I'd be happy to buy you a coffee or something.
Hey y'all, I just noticed Wipr 2 is available for preorder. $4.99 single purchase and universal across all Apple devices. I have no affiliation with the app developer whatsoever, but have been a user of it for many years. I paid a couple dollars for it to block safari ads many years ago and forgot all about it. I haven't seen an ad in years!
It appears those like me who have the legacy version can continue to use that, but Wipr 2 has added features. I preordered it. The added features in Wipr too are here.
Dollar for dollar, Wipr is probably the single most useful app I've ever paid for, with the possible exception of BetterTouchTool. Just want to share my love of this app.
I wanted a real-time and local diff solution, so I created this app and I'm sharing it publicly. I have other local apps like this I'm working on, they are all macOS 14+, I may be able to downgrade the macOS version to a smaller one if needed.

LaunchPalette – App Switcher has the following functions
Switch between apps or projects right away with keyboard shortcuts!
With LaunchPalette, you can for example:
• Assign Right ⌘ S for Safari and Right ⌘ C for Calendar. (You can still use Left ⌘ as usual.) • Assign Right ⌘ M+A for Mail and Right ⌘ M+E for Messages. • Focus on a specific project. (E.g. Right ⌘ X+L > Xcode LaunchPalette project and Right ⌘ X+T > Xcode TabBack project.) • Hide the frontmost app (or cycle through its windows in the order they were used*) by pressing the app’s shortcut again. • Change the modifiers (⌃,⌥, and ⌘) or create additional palettes with other modifiers. • Run AppleScripts and shell scripts. • Safely rename or move registered items on your computer; LaunchPalette will automatically reflect the changes.

SMALL APP PROJECT
As apps continue to grow more complex, I began to ponder: are only feature-packed, multifaceted apps truly useful to people? Could a simple app, providing only the essential features, also be valuable?
From this reflection, the Small App Project was born. The idea behind the Small App Project is to deliver "Small Apps" that focus on providing just the necessary features, without the complexity.
Scheduler App embodies this philosophy. It’s designed to be straightforward and efficient, offering only the essential functionalities you need to manage your schedule effectively.
---
I’ll keep working alongside all of you to make scheduling even easier, constantly improving the app to better suit your needs 💪
If there’s anything you’d like to see in the Scheduler app, please feel free to leave a comment or reach out to me through the “Send Feedback” feature in the app. I’ll get back to you quickly and help you out as best as I can 📨
I hope this simple, streamlined Scheduler app helps you manage your schedule and plans with ease. My goal is to keep the app simple while making it even more convenient for you to organize your time and tasks. I’m committed to improving while keeping things effortless for you.
Wishing you great health 💪 and a wonderful day ahead! 🌷✨

A free app by a developer who goes by INCHMAN1900 on Gumroad can provide an easy way to manage images if it fits your workflow. His small app, FASA (Forget About Save As), lets you copy images from any source to your clipboard and then paste them as files in the Finder. You can use this procedure to quickly export files from the Photos app, skipping the dialog boxes you normally get. It even works on screenshots that you copy to the clipboard. The programs preferences let you choose between jpg and png for your preferred file type. You can start or stop the app at any time and you can choose programs to exclude from using the service if you have that need.
If you own a copy of Clop, it also has this ability. You can also do it using the Finder replacement, Qspace.
(Note - There are other things in this world called FASA. This is not affiliated with them. The dev and I both know this 😉)
Hey r/macapps! 👋
I'm Xiaoyi, the developer of RecurseChat. Happy Halloween y'all! I'm thrilled to announce the release of RecurseChat 1.3.7 with the addition of several features.
We just released a major update to RecurseChat with the most requested feature - Floating Chat! You can now chat with AI from anywhere by pressing ⌘⇧↩
. This shortcut is customizable in Settings. The floating window stays on top when you need it and stay out of your way if you toggle the shortcut again. I want to thank this amazing community for all your support and feedback on our previous posts. Your enthusiasm and suggestions have been incredibly helpful in shaping RecurseChat's development. The Floating Chat feature was actually inspired by many of your comments asking for a more accessible way to chat with AI while working, and users are really digging this feature after the release.

What's New in 1.3.7:
Recent Updates:
Let me know if you have any questions! I'll be around to answer them.
Is this normal? don't use any apps for battery charge it whenever
I need your feedback.
I’ve been using Boring Notch for a couple of days now, and I’ve noticed a significant increase in battery drain.
Are you also experiencing this problem, or is it just my perception?
Otherwise, the functions and everything else are working well.
Hey everyone, do you know of any app that shuffles wallpapers like macOS does but by downloading them only when needed? I would like to shuffle among the aerials that the OS offers but without sacrificing 50GB of storage :)
