A place to show off your storage and sorting, links to storage bins, and occasional reviews of containers.
It doesn't matter if you have 10 or 10,000,000 Lego parts, storage and organization are necessary. This subreddit is dedicated to discussions about organizing parts, pictures and videos of part storage and organization, and links to suggested bins and containers.

My mind goes to like a display cabinet. If this post provokes inspiration, I would love to see what you come up with.
4 rows of 5 trays for small parts.
I’m having trouble deciding what to parts to start off with and wondering what other people have done with their first akro-mils drawes.
I’m 50% committed to starting off with 1x1, x2, x3, x4 and x 6 plates in four colours.
The other 50% is just parting out pieces that I need for my blacksmith (21325) build.
Easier to just flip a coin?
Over the past couple months, l've found my love for Lego reignited by polybags that I've been slowly acquiring. I now have almost a dozen & I'm just wondering how I should store them. I LOVE the artwork on each bag, the designs all look great, so I don't discard them after opening. So far, my solution with my sets has been to keep each one in a Ziploc bag, but I'm starting to think of using a case instead, like the one pictured top right. Which would be better? What sorts of solutions have people here come up with? I definitely like the compartment case & Im considering getting multiple sets of a few polybags (City Space Hoverbike, City Police Off Road Buggy Car, Ninjago Zane's Dragon Power Vehicles & Creator 3in1 Gift Animals specifically) to kitbash them all for parts in various future MOC builds I'II do. Hoping there's some better storage ideas for my sets Ive not thought of suggested here!
So I received my uncle's Lego collection it's mostly plain blocks. His blocks were from the 60s and 70s. While growing up I was big into space Lego (Space Police and Mtron) and Technics. Now as an adult I buy a set from time to time but my daughter has a large collection of Friends.
We have a been storing Lego in a some 12*12 plastic containers if found on clearance. But the original sorting plan of by color is definitely not the best. We needed to get some more containers and are planning to resort.
So the question is there a good list of organizational theories? After the failed color attempt, I am thinking by piece type, but I am definitely looking for suggestions.
This isn't that bad is it?
I decided to submit a Lego build to next year’s TX state fair of a Monet painting in the Lego Art style. Just received and sorted my pick-a-brick order and it’s so visually satisfying I had to share!
i recently came across some sealable clear plastic sleeves from Staples for the instruction books i have (30+ sets) but was wondering how everyone else stores theirs. im thinking of big 3" binders to start. i have most of them situated back to front so they can be viewed from both sides. should i get a small one for the smaller booklets? example i have sizes from the Countach and Batwing but also ones from the SW midi ships like Invisible Hand and Tantive IV. i can put the ones from the polybags pretty much anywhere.
I have a nook which is around 60" in width. I am looking to have a display case here for my Legos and collectibles. I have a Hogwarts 76419 set which I want to display. And in future I will also be getting the Millennium Falcon. I am trying to rack my brains on what could be a good set to cover the space I have and not break the bank. The custom ones I am seeing are going to be around 4k. My ideal dimensions would be if I can get a display case around 54-56" and do the fillers on the area remaining so as to make it look clean. Any ideas or thoughts ? Also attaching the space of the nook.
Hello! New here and was scrolling through the posts and see mainly storage for pieces or smaller sets. I just got finished with the Hogwarts castle (the large one) and now I’m at a loss as to where to put it! We have 5 cats and a dog so it can’t sit out in the open and I’d also love to keep it dust free as I’m sure you can imagine we have a ton of it, lol Any recommendations or ideas?!? It has a fairly tall spire and connects together in a diagonal type configuration. Please and thank you!
Not sure if I will have the self-control to keep it this way for long though!
For Christmas, I'm getting my husband all the Animal Crossing sets. He already had them at one point, but our 3 year old has ransacked the village as a mini Godzilla. I know my husband would want to put them together, but I want to get either shelves/a curio cabinet that will be wide enough to have them all so he can display them. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I'm searching for replacement drawer slides for my Ikea Alex 6-drawer units. Ones that extend fully or at least most of the way. (For reference: I'm in the US)
It's somewhat surprising that no one seems to have made an aftermarket option for this yet!
ETA: I’m familiar with the workaround hack, but I was really hoping for a ready-made solution I could purchase.
This is just one of many bins full of dismantled Star Wars ships and random vehicles.
Still getting my store up and going and I need ideas time organize better.
I seen many on YouTube that are using the sterilite 3 drawer units and stacking then, but they seem to be in short supply and a lil inflate price wise.
Akro mmill units are expexpensive when you take into account that I have nearly 4000 lots.
Space is a concern atm.
Thoughts ?
This sub build this set up, thanks again 🤓
Hi All
Has anyone used the Hejne for lego display/storage? So far it seems to be the one that ticks most of the boxes for me (really struggling with depth) and it seems far more cost efficient than IVAR.
Thanks
Ian
hello everyone, quick question regarding storing or displaying legos. I've seen people say extreme temperature fluctuations/changes can damage legos overtime. What are they referring to when saying this? I cant seem to find any info regarding this, is it referring to non temperature controlled environments like garage/attic? Or like any type of temperature change, like a room fluctuating temperature during the day? Thanks!
Improvised solution to triaging some fake technic from what I was going to throw away!
Will report back as we eat more yoghurt...
Not as pretty as the Alex/Nojig trays solution, but it was free! 🤣
Should this sort of thing work for you…$9.99 today (for most) with $5.99 starting Friday. Not sure on how many you can acquire at the $5.99 price…
So far I've used a spare bedroom with some awful overhead lighting that reflected off bricks/pages really bad, and these gloomy yellow walls. But I'm moving into a house with five (!!) bedrooms so gonna dedicate one to lego, and do it right this time. So paint and lighting.
Anybody have advice on how best to design this room? I figure a very light neutral like white, off white or a lighter gray would be good. I'm leaning towards gray because I think it'd be a bit easier on the eyes maybe?
And for lighting... Does anyone have a solution that gives a good even, bright, neutral(white?) light but doesn't reflect off every shiny surface? I'd like to install pot lights but really that reflection is the biggest issue, its been so annoying in my current room to the point I've had to take instructions under the table to confirm colors.
This is about 1/3 of the collection.
