First of all, I probably am the asshole simply because of how cringe this really is.

A political discussion started in a local county facebook group. I'm a centrist. I refrain from exposing my political views. I like to ask questions and understand where other people are coming from before, to see if I can find common ground.

Sidebar rules in the group state specifically, "No Politics. Local politics acceptable - be respectful or you will be removed."

Someone tagged a group moderator/admin who had already shown presence in the thread.

I responded "He doesn't care." and the following exchange ensued:

MOD: What don't I care about. Tell me more about me.

ME: I believe you are not concerned with the political discussion in this group. Correct me if I'm wrong.

MOD: don't be shy now. What don't I care about.

**ME:**Umm. I just posted it. I said you don't care about the political discussion in the group. Correct me if I'm wrong. What's so hard to understand about that?

MOD: how don’t I care. Please tell me. I mean. You’re speaking for me right? Don’t ask me to correct you. You’re confident right? There are adults here talking to each other. Do you want me to censor what everyone says? Or just the people you don’t agree with? Do I only not care about politics? I let people talk About chicken too … do I not care about chicken? ME: I always defer to experts in their field because I'm not a specialist in everything. I'd like to know where I'm deficient.\

There are people (speaking presumably there) on different sites who've had it out for me and a friend (who they think is me because of something she said) for a while in different places, the people with the hate craving having gone at me on everyone's favorite front page of the web (that backfired) and on DeviantArt which is where they started out before the same stuff could be found on YouTube and people started making videos in the same style. What action would YouTube prescribe here? Just trying to honor their TOS, I know some places make it a duty.

Tragedies caused by huge fandoms include Steven Universe, My Little Pony, and the list goes on and on. When I saw this Doc, I remember feeling both dismayed and satisfied that the Hazbin hotel fandom had become another one of those.

I spent a few days feeling depressed and wondering how I could have prevented this.

But then a doubt came to me, and I reread the Doc several times.

And I found some holes - or should I say technical holes?

I now consider this Doc to be suspect.

There are several reasons, but the most unconvincing is that there are images that "should not have been possible".

Take a look at the first image.

This is one of the images in the Doc, put out as proof that the alleged Shay was standing by VivziPop.

The issue is not the content, but the format.

As anyone who has used Discord often knows, since about September 2023,

Discord has not been able to embed Twitter link without some change.

If you can go back to the discord logs, see how the X link was embedded in the discord from November 2023 to late January 2024.

This is said to be due to a change in the X spec by Elon Musk, and unless you change the link to fxtwitter or vxtwitter, it basically never previews this way.

This was a general spec change, not a terminal-specific glitch; there are ways to use the bot or the software provided by Git, but there is no trace of that here.

Around January 20 (by the way, Huzbin Hotel was launched on 1/19), Discord reverted to its original specifications, allowing Twitter links to be embedded without any effort.

So it is very likely that this image was created after 1/20.

Even if Shay simply posted the link, if this is indeed the conversation that took place on 12/9, the link would not appear with the image as it does.

I have checked many Discord servers and tweets to confirm this, and I believe it is almost certain that the Twitter link was not previewed without ingenuity, at least between November and January. There is also something suspicious about the email allegedly sent to the parties involved.

The subject line of this email, allegedly sent on 12/15, says FW:.

FW stands for "Forward," or proof of a forwarded email.

This means that the sender of this e-mail sent the forwarded yahoo-mail to the parties involved.

Usually, two or more terminals are required for the mark of forwarding to be established. But what reason would there be to pass on an yahoo-mail on two or more terminals of one's own when one needed to contact someone urgently?

As one might guess, the FW: mark suggests that the creator of this Doc may have had more than one terminal and used it for forgery.

Also, this Doc has been changed since it was first uploaded on ____ I believe 2/12/___. They added a suicide prevention hotline because they were reported for assisting suicide. (Incidentally, the link is to a suicide hotline run by Whatapp, and the Doc's warning was mostly a copy-and-paste of what was written there. (The Whatsapp screenshot shown here was allegedly provided by someone who was not the Doc's editor.)

has four screenshots of the email. Of these, only the first version has one with FW:, and the formatting of the first and second version emails is different. This suggests that the three images added in the second version were created as "additions.

Also, the First version's 12/15 email is ▲▼, indicating that there are different emails above and below it, while the Second version's 12/15 email is ▲▽, indicating that it is at the bottom of the sort order. This also suggests that the Doc creator used more than one terminal to create this Doc.

For these reasons, I have come to doubt the veracity of the images presented as evidence in this document.

The tragedy shown in this document is a very painful one. I have come to this verification with the sole intention of proving, if possible, that this is not what really happened.

I just want to make sure that the tragedy is not happening.

Caleb Hammer, aka /u/HammerTime1995, is a youtuber who makes videos where guests of the show open up their personal finances to him and he audits them. He has a fan subreddit, /r/CalebHammer, where he will post links to his videos

Today he posted a link to his latest video, which is titled "Asian Son Brings Dishonor To Family" and has a thumbnail image of an asian man shouting and squinting.

The thumbnail image is the "cover" of a youtube video so the first thing people see before they click to watch it.

All of the top comments are universally negative.

"...are you .... are you sure this is the thumbnail you want to go with? this is...uhm...bad"

"Your thumbnails aren’t working my guy. Hurting the brand, but I’m just one person."

In the age of social media and putting your life out there I have noticed more and more that many of the people on there wear this mask. Unfortunately people see the mask but not the real person behind it. In turn I feel like others try to be like the people they see on the internet not realizing how they are not actually who they think they are. I feel like it spreads around making it more difficult to know the truth.

I have placed an order from the goat app on 2/2/2024 for some Maison Margiela Replica’s (black gum) and like 2-3 days later I got an email saying that my order has reached the warehouse for verification. Twitter user @snakeswithhands made a now-deleted post about how a fan of the show, pseudonym "Shay", had killed themselves. The tweet linked to a long google doc.

The google doc rambles a lot so I'll summarize. It contains discord screenshots of conversations with Shay, where she expresses distress that other people are making fun of the ship she is a fan of. The other participant tries to reassure her but is unsucessful.

When Shay is not heard from for a while, people ask around and get in contact with her sister who says that Shay has died.

The writer of the google doc then goes on to blame the fandom and even the writers of the show for making the Huskerdust ship canon and killing the Radiodust ship.

Where it stands now, especially after watching the first season of the show, I can safely attest that I no longer consider myself a HuskerDust shipper, and it leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth that something that could have been an unadulterated, organic development had to come to this.

And not just because I feel in some way responsible for having the blood of a person on my hands, but because after seeing Angel Dust and Husk interact in the series, on top of the relationships between Charlie and Vaggie, Valentino and Vox, even Sir Pentious and Cherry, I could not help but feel like we are beginning to forget that not everything has to be romantic, especially in a time where healthy male friendships and camaraderie are so often forgotten about. And that’s what I loved about their dynamic: when I thought they could work great as a couple, they worked even better as older mentor / younger mentee, especially thanks to the large age gap Shay was so violently criticized for mentioning.

The confirmation of the HuskerDust ship being “endgame” did not spur me to keep shipping them, but in fact it made me dread it, after being so heavily advertised. At this point, I no longer wish to see it, especially now that I know someone was harassed to death because of it.

Personally it seems overkill to say this is harassment so bad it caused a suicide and that the creators of the show and Angeldust shippers have "blood on their hands". According to the wisdom of poet Tyler the Creator, one can refuse to read the negative things they can find on the internet. Nowhere in the document is it alleged Shay was doxxed, or personally messaged with suicide baiting. Even the person counseling Shay suggested not to read or take seriously the negative things on Twitter.

Some people are also skeptical a death truly happened. If it did happen, no proof is provided that Shay or her sister attributed the suicide to the ship wars and anti-shippers. Saying the ship wars caused the suicide is only from the opinion of the doc writer.

I leave you all with this amusing thing in the likes tab of the @snakeswithhands, where someone posts their outrage about the events about how the loss of life is personal to them because they're Cathloic, then adds an image of a character from an incest video game looking sad.

Mostly I am banned from them because I do play the games and directly rage on discord and people agreed to permaban me off those discords. Other times I just get hyper pissed off when dealing with people and tell them to get raped and stuff like those out of rage then I got banned. Rarely I get into trouble because some mod didn't like me and went out of their way to be as spiteful as possible. As for the Wikis it is always about editing pages 10 times in a row (and on TV tropes supposedly "oversaturating entire articles" with rape references even if I'm talking about literal Criminal Minds and Complete Monsters where the topic is virtually unavoidable). So basically I inevitably got caught in some sort of drama and got banned on general large internet communities.

Yeah look at this I am just an annoying, disgusting scum of the earth. Like I'm serious. People literally call me annoying and disgusting back there. At this point I should had been treated like literal cancer and a combination of Mikeneko/Rushia, DarkSydePhil and LowTierGod (and I won't be surprised it would happen if all of the places I got kicked out and banned from compared what I did in those places with each other and found it was the same person). TLDR; Max is a fraud AND has no legal basis for his case

Someone managed to join his server with little to no verification and signed a fake NDA using a fake name. Max told them not to report csa to their parents. AND it was initially blamed on Slug who is Max’s former editor and was not even in the server during the leak because he was banned.

The evidence is very little and would not stand up in court. I’m not insinuating that the victims are lying but they obviously do not have enough evidence to go public or justify making videos. Some of the victims are very level headed in the leaked conversations and express that they wish they didn’t go public.

My little sister (a huge fan) came across this and I had to share.

Meiflurryy (100k followers) was the cosplayer on TikTok known for doing "wotakoi dance until i get a bf" in 2022, while Mei Monte (200k followers) is the self improvement lifestyle influencer. Apparently they are the same person, just two different social media personas.

She was just now exposed for cheating while constantly asking for money (400,000 pesos, equivalent to $8000? someone correct me if i'm wrong) from her bf. There's a whole document explaining what happened with all evidence posted publicly. She has since deleted her Instagram accounts (100k followers) but her TikTok and YouTube accounts remain up.

This is all pretty wild from what I can gather. This claims Mei Monte has Borderline Personality Disorder and other severe mental illnesses, and has done some questionable things behind the scenes.

If you read my first post, I chronicled the many YouTubers that two accounts targeted, Not__Ville and Ville__. I have since found three more accounts. I am certain that at least two (probably all of them are him) are linked to the original 2 I found. They are stuartclarke2988, PWRGEUTTP, and UTTP-kn4km. Honestly, I had never heard of UTTP before all this. On my last post someone mentioned he might be young, and I don't blame them for thinking that. But I can confirm he is definitely 30+ and he claims that he is autistic. This behavior of spamming YouTube comments, saying stuff like "(Insert YouTuber) did something inappropriate to me, check my channel", joking about r*ping your sister, and much more is inexcusable in my eyes.
