[Rev-share] Modern Tower defense

Hello everyone! 👋

I have been working on a video game project under Godot for 4 months now. Today, I am looking for a motivated 2D artist to collaborate with me and give a real visual identity to my game. If you like innovative and creative projects, this message is for you! 🎨

About the project:

The game is a Tower Defense with a strong strategic component and management elements. The player must defend his base against endless waves of enemies while managing resources, improving his abilities and planning his actions.

A few details about the game:

Theme: AI and technology, but with a modern style. No complex futuristic universe, but a refined aesthetic, inspired by the contemporary era and current technological advances.

Main gameplay:

Players place turrets to repel waves of enemy robots.

They can buy upgrades in a shop, manage resources through an inventory, and unlock skills through a progression tree.

An automation mechanic makes the gameplay smoother and introduces advanced strategies.

Where I am:

I have been working on this project for 4 months and the foundations of the game are already well advanced:

I have implemented the main gameplay mechanics, such as the functioning of the turrets, the management of enemies (robots), the inventory system, and the basics of the shop.

The architecture of the code is solid, and I have a clear vision of the next steps.

What is missing now is a strong artistic direction to bring the game world to life.

What I am looking for:

I am looking for an artist capable of:

Designing 2D sprites for enemy robots, turrets, and scenery (backgrounds, terrain elements, etc.).

Imagining a modern artistic direction, consistent with the technological theme, but simple and eye-catching.

Create small animations to liven up the visual elements of the game, such as robot movements or shooting effects.

Collaborate with me to refine the overall aesthetic of the project and bring original ideas.

Why join this project?

This game is a passion project on which I dedicate a lot of time and energy. By joining this adventure, you will have the opportunity to:

Participate in a creative project where your work will be essential to the visual identity.

Develop your artistic skills in a collaborative and flexible framework.

See your creations highlighted in a game that we will build together.

I am also very open to your suggestions and ideas. If you have proposals to enrich the game universe or add visual elements, we can discuss them. The goal is to create an immersive and fun game, while enjoying the creation process.

Contact me:

If you are interested in this project or would like to know more, feel free to send me a message directly here or on Discord: #vany_76.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message, and I hope to collaborate with you to bring this game to life! 🙌

Seeking a Passionate Game Developer to Bring Ancient India to Life – A Dream-Fueled RPG Journey

Hi there,

I’m a storyteller at heart with over 15 years in animation and game design. Currently, I lead the Motion Capture department at a studio in London. But right now, I’m here as someone with a dream—and I’m looking for someone who shares it.

I’m building a game that’s not just a project but a piece of art—an RPG set in ancient India, deeply rooted in South Indian culture and tradition. This is about creating an experience where players feel the magic of stepping back 5,000 years into the rich world of Indian mythology. It’s a story waiting to be told, and I need a passionate developer to help me tell it.

Here’s the truth: I don’t have much to offer financially—just $1,000, carved out of my own salary, paid in steps. I know it’s modest for the work needed: crafting a 20-minute slice with locomotion, parkour, combat mechanics, and enemy AI. But what I can promise is that this isn’t just another job. This is a chance to own a piece of something meaningful—to shape a world and bring it to life.

I have a team of incredible artists ready to make the pixels speak. We’re looking for someone who can make the code sing with that same passion. Someone who believes in the magic of creating, even when resources are thin.

If you feel a spark reading this—if you’ve ever dreamed of building something that touches hearts—reach out to me. Let’s talk. Let’s see if our visions align.

Find me on Discord: samuell9019

Let’s make something beautiful together.

Warm regards,

[RevShare] Seeking Manager for a singleplayer action Top-Down RPG

Hi,

We’re currently creating a dark high fantasy RPG. I started this project a few months ago, and so far, we've made great progress.

The main premise of the game is that the player takes on the role of a Witcher-like monster hunter in a world cursed by dark magic and overrun by monsters and the undead.
The player was initiated into a monster hunter group at a very young age. During their initiation, these hunters are infused with the same dark magic that curses the land. This gives them exceptional dark magic powers but also corrupts their souls. The player will fight through dungeons and ravaged lands to find the source of this curse.
This is the Witcher meets divinity2.

Our current team includes me as the lead programmer with about eight years of experience, another programmer, a composer, 2 narrative writer, a gamedesigner, 2 3d artist and 2 2d artists.
We’ve got a point system in place for revenue sharing, so you’ll earn based on how much work you put in if we generate income. But if you're just in it for the money, this project is not for you. It’s mainly a passion project, though we do plan to make money with it, we are all big fantasy fans.

Right now, we’re looking for a manager with enough time to organize the project for us.
Currently, we’re doing everything through a Discord server, and it gets pretty messy.
Your responsibilities would include assigning tasks, documenting completed features, hiring new people, and handling all other administrative tasks.

We are using Unreal Engine 5.4

Note: The scale is rather big and it will take a while to finish this so only join if your not afraid of longer running Projects. Be passionate about Rpg's and fantasy in general. Were all gamers and big fantasy fans.

We dont need any ghosts, so if you cant commit any work at all to such a project please dont respond.
I know everyone wants to be a gamedev but not actually put any work in, but thats sadly not how it works :)

If this sounds interesting, add me on Discord for more info and to check out some of our current progress.
Together we can create something awesome :)
Cheers

[Hiring] Looking to hire creative fiction writers, we make adult visual novel games.

Hi, I'm the founder of TimeWizardStudios. We create well-written, stylized adult games.

You can find out more about our game here:

https://linktr.ee/acvn

We’re expanding our team – looking to hire artists, writers, and programmers.

Our game Another Chance has been in development for over 4 years, with monthly updates. The current team consists of two writers, two artists, one programmer, and one social media manager.

Each update adds a quest (go here, pick up the item, talk to this character, etc.), ending with a sex scene. The story is dialogue-heavy, with branching routes for characters and different outcomes based on player choice.

Here is a quick trailer:

https://imgur.com/2RfEatB

Here’s a sample of our in-game writing:

https://imgur.com/a/BpHHcfG

^^(please ^^don't ^^apply ^^for ^^the ^^writing ^^role ^^unless ^^you ^^can ^^write ^^at ^^least ^^to ^^this ^^level ^^of ^^quality, ^^sorry ^^but ^^it ^^will ^^save ^^both ^^of ^^us ^^time)

Writers:

We have a lead writer, so we are looking for someone who can add new quests and expand the storyline, continuing with the in-game writing.

This task is actually pretty hard to find a suitable writer for, because our current lead writer is talented (in my opinion), and a big portion of our game's success is that we have a strong script and well-written story.

To join our team, you would have to be able to copy and mimic the current writer's style and prose, plus be able to match all the character voices.

For the writing our budget is $800 - $1,000 per quest. Usually a writer would submit around one quest per month, but we have no strict deadlines.

When applying, please submit at least one link (pdf or doc or website or anything) of an example of a creative writing fiction piece you did (no blog posts, screenplays, or dnd campaigns sorry!)

We are also thinking about branching out and making new games, but any writer (or artist) I hire, I would want to test their skill through our current workload, before working on new projects.

Here’s our sprite sheet to show our art style. If you can replicate this, I’ll send you a more detailed style guide.

https://i.imgur.com/e4Bu8cN.jpeg

This link would also be good to review as a writer, as it will show you all our characters and help you imagine them when you write. We have lots of writing documents that outline the whole plot, story, plus we have resources like sprite sheets that show every character with matching emotion/expression.

Honestly, playing the game would grant you the biggest chance at success at any of these roles, as you can see exactly what we are building, how it works and functions, and how all the pieces of art, writing, and programming come together in the final product. Please ask me for a link to the latest release and I will send it to you.

Contact:

I actually created a server to help facilitate and manage all this. It's called Rolodex Online

www.discord.gg/8PsYavAa43

It will be a place where writers, artists, programmers, and all kinds of creatives can join and leave their portfolios. I plan to keep this server neat and organized, to grow it and turn it into a useful tool where people can find collaborators and form projects or relationships.

If you've contacted me in the past and I never replied, I apologize, most likely I did not do it on purpose. I am trying to fix my bad habits, I lost a lot of really talented people I could have worked with, and that is one of the reasons I am creating this server. I believe it can grow into a big community where creatives can connect and collaborate.

To apply:

Please join the server and leave a message in the relevant category with your portfolio. We can then discuss rates and I’ll share more resources.

[Discussion] The Increasing Use of AI in Posts Here – Let’s Address It Together

Hello r/INAT,

I hope this message finds you well. Recently, I've noticed a significant uptick in posts that appear to be written with the help of AI. While tools like ChatGPT and others can be incredibly useful for drafting and refining ideas, their overuse raises concerns about authenticity and transparency in our community.

These AI-generated posts often stand out due to their overly polished tone, generic phrasing, and lack of a personal touch. While this isn’t inherently bad, it can create challenges:

  • Authenticity: Genuine human connection is vital in creative collaborations. When posts feel artificial, it can make it harder to build trust.
  • Oversaturation: Generic AI-generated posts may drown out unique and thoughtfully written ones, potentially discouraging genuine talent seekers and contributors.
  • Lack of Transparency: People have the right to know if they’re engaging with a real person or a tool, especially when forming professional relationships.

As a community, I think we should consider taking steps to ensure that this space remains authentic and welcoming. Here are a few potential actions we could explore:

  1. Encourage Transparency: If a post is AI-assisted, ask members to disclose it.
  2. Focus on Authenticity: Emphasize personal touches in posts, such as sharing why a project is meaningful to you or your unique vision.
  3. Set Community Guidelines: Develop guidelines around AI usage to balance efficiency with honesty.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. How can we address this growing trend while keeping the community open and inclusive? Are there specific steps you think we should take to foster more authentic communication?

Let’s work together to make this subreddit a place where talent and creativity truly thrive.

Looking forward to your insights!

Best,
[Your Username]

[Hobby] Seeking Additional 3D Artists, Animators, Level Designers & Programmers for F2P Horror FPS (UNITY)

Are you passionate about gore, decay, and survival horror? Read on!

We are a small group of horror enthusiasts developing a free-to-play, fast-paced horror FPS in Unity. We all have experience to some degree in game development. We are looking for 3D Artists (Modelers & Texturers), animators, level designers, and programmers to help bring our nightmarish creatures and environments to life.

The overall concept and fundamental gameplay loop are set—we have a strong vision for a realistic, gory style and wave-based combat. Now, we need talented individuals to flesh out (pun intended) the environment, props, monsters, gear, and player experiences.

Project Overview

Setting & Gameplay:

  • Modern-day wave-based survival shooter.
  • Procedural city generation using advanced algorithms (Flood Fill, Wave Function Collapse).
  • Realistic FPS controller inspired by games such as Escape from Tarkov and Insurgency.
  • Grotesque, flesh-ridden mutants (formerly human or animal) that grow stronger with each wave.
  • Players scavenge for upgrades and gear between waves, striving to survive as long as possible.
  • Fast-paced FPS with a global leaderboard tracking how many waves each player/team manages to outlast.
  • PBR workflow for realism.
  • Ragdoll enemies.

Aesthetic & Atmosphere:

  • Gory and fleshy details.
  • Gruesome monsters dripping with decay, exposed sinew, and malformed limbs.
  • Dark, gritty, modern environments inspired by New York, showcasing a decayed city and horror elements in stark detail.

Procedural City

Our vision is to make every playthrough a unique, unpredictable experience. The goal is to construct the decayed city using a combination of several advanced algorithms, such as Wave Function Collapse and Flood Fill (we have already completed the flood fill for tile placement). This system dynamically creates an expansive, interconnected urban sprawl inspired by New York.

Buildings, streets, and alleyways are algorithmically placed, resulting in a random city of decayed structures filled with horror and danger.

Image link 1, Image link 2, Image link 3, Image link 4 -> (Placeholder assets!)

FPS Player Controller

We aim to design a player controller that immerses players in a realistic, gritty survival experience, inspired by titles like Escape from Tarkov and Insurgency. This approach emphasizes a sense of physicality and vulnerability.

Key Features for the controller:

  • Realistic Movement: Player movement should be weighted to reflect the physical demands of navigating a decayed, dangerous environment.
  • Injury and Limping System: Injuries impact mobility and aim. For example, a leg injury causes limping (preventing sprinting), while an arm wound affects weapon handling.
  • Health System with Limb-Specific Damage: Tracks damage to individual limbs. Severe damage can render limbs unusable (considering a limb-loss system).
  • Weapon Handling: Realistic weapon handling with sway, recoil, and reloading mechanics.
  • Procedural Animations: Interactions (opening doors, dragging corpses, grabbing monsters, and placing barricades) are procedural—animations that dynamically adapt using Inverse Kinematics (IK), physics simulations, and context-aware adjustments.

Core Example of a Monster – “The Rot Crawler”

  • A slow, once-human, maggot-like abomination with thin, translucent skin containing rotting fluids.
  • A visible human skull juts out, with helpless limbs twitching as it drags itself forward in a wet, putrid trail.
  • This sets the tone for other wave creatures: twisted mutations of human or animal origin.

Image link

The game will feature dozens—potentially up to a hundred—mutated, horrific creatures, each driven by an insatiable hunger to consume!

Key Points

  • Procedural generation
  • Endless game loop
  • Scavenging and wave preparation
  • Mutated horror creatures
  • Survival

Our Vision for releasing the game

Our goal is to deliver a polished, terrifying, and unforgettable free multiplayer horror experience. To achieve this, we are committed to thoroughly and meticulously testing the game. When the time is right, we plan to launch a beta version and release the game on Steam, making it accessible to a global audience.

Steam will serve as our platform to showcase the decayed, horror-filled world we’re building. With its broad reach and community features, we’ll have the perfect stage to engage with players, gather feedback, and continue refining the game post-launch.

This is an opportunity to not only contribute to something creative and ambitious, but also to get your name on a game that could make a mark in the indie horror scene.

What We Need

We are seeking committed team members who know the basics of Unity and have time to contribute consistently.

3D Modelers

  • Create creature and environmental models inspired by realistic horror design.
  • Sculpt, model, and optimize assets for Unity with a focus on fleshy, visceral detail.

Texturers

  • Develop high-quality PBR textures for characters, weapons, and environment props.
  • Emphasize gore, decay, and slimy surfaces that reinforce the horror vibe.

Animators

  • Rig and animate grotesque creatures and player weapons.
  • Capture unnatural, disturbing motions that showcase how twisted these mutants really are.

Level Designers

  • Handle prop placement, lighting, and decal placement in a city inspired by a decayed version of New York.
  • Integrate gameplay elements like loot placements and enemy spawn points.
  • Design immersive, interactive environments that contribute to the horror atmosphere.

Programmers

  • Implement core gameplay systems, including wave-based spawner logic and enemy AI.
  • Integrate procedural generation algorithms (Flood Fill, Wave Function Collapse) and maintain system performance.
  • Develop player controller features (movement, health, and injury systems) with an eye toward realism.
  • Collaborate on networked multiplayer functionalities and global leaderboard integration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on overall look & feel: Work closely with team members to ensure models, textures, animations, and level design align with the established horror aesthetic.
  • Maintain consistency: While each creature may be unique, they must visually fit within the same horrifying world.
  • Iterate on feedback: Be open to refining assets, animations, and code to achieve the unsettling style and robust gameplay we’re aiming for.

Requirements

  • For modelers and texturers: Basic experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max) and texturing tools (e.g., Substance Painter, Quixel, Photoshop).
  • For programmers: Basic proficiency in C# and Unity, plus familiarity with version control (e.g., Git). Experience or interest in procedural generation and AI is a plus.
  • For all: Basic knowledge of Unity’s asset import pipeline, including material setups and PBR workflows.
  • Time Commitment: Availability to regularly collaborate and iterate as we push toward key milestones.
  • Portfolio or samples of work: Even a small body of work is great, especially if it highlights horror or creature designs.

(No extensive industry experience required! We value a solid grasp of fundamentals and a willingness to learn.)

What We Offer

  • A clear vision for the game’s style, atmosphere, and gameplay loop.
  • Creative freedom to bring your ideas and twists to monster designs and animations.
  • A supportive team environment that values open collaboration and constructive feedback.
  • A free-to-play model aimed at reaching a wide audience, with credit and visibility for contributors.
  • We have a Discord server, a Trello board, and version control set up for collaboration.

Who Am I?

My name is Dan-Levi. I studied game development many years ago, focusing on Unity and C#. While my career took me outside of game dev, games and programming have always held a significant place in my life.

Over the years, I’ve worked on several hobby projects—both individually and as part of a team—from simple 2D games to multiplayer FPS games. My primary role has often been as a programmer, but I’ve also gained experience as a 3D modeler, texturer, and level designer.

I’m passionate about creating immersive and engaging experiences and am eager to take on the challenge of leading this project to success.

If this project sparks your interest and you want to help craft some truly unsettling creatures, please add me on discord: dan_levi, send me a message or comment below.

I’m excited to collaborate with fellow horror enthusiasts to create a memorable (and macabre) experience!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

[Hobby] LF Gen. Dev Team for Character Action RPG Title | Devil May Cry Inspired Game

This message is written on behalf of Aquilegia Studio.
We are a remote visual development studio, newly opened and based near Augusta, Georgia.

Hello, everyone! We are currently looking for people willing to join the development team for 'Project: Sparrow', a Character Action RPG influenced by IPs like Devil May Cry, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, X-Men Legends, and RWBY.

The positions we are looking to fill include, but are not limited to:

  • Artists (2D and 3D)
    • Environment Artists
    • Concept Artists
    • Modelers
    • Riggers
    • Animators
  • Writers
  • Programmers
  • Coders
  • Sound Designers
  • UI/UX Artists

Currently, the project is nearing the end of its conceptual stages, with development set to begin in Spring 2025. As we are a newly opened studio, these positions will begin unpaid, however, we are hard at work trying to acquire funding so that this can change within the near future. We are not asking for anyone to go all-in on this project or the company. That just isn't reasonable. We understand if you have prior commitments and cannot invest more time than possible.

To speak a bit about the company, we believe that video games are an art form, and that original IPs are what nurture the health of the gaming industry. We believe in the creativity of artists and writers, the ideas that they want to have realized, and are willing to work tirelessly to make that a reality. Because many companies within this sphere refuse to see the potential in what many of you have to offer. We want to change that. If you believe in the same sentiments, we invite you to join us.

We are in full support of industry unions, vehemently AGAINST generative AI, and would like to become an inspiration for those who want to work in this industry in the future.

If you are interested in joining the project, please email us at aquilegia.studio@gmail.com for more details.

Thank you for your time.

[Rev-Share] TERRA-TACTICA: A Top Down, Turn-Based, Sandbox, Strategy Game, Programmers and Artists

Hello!

I am one of the Lead Developers of Terra Tactica, a turn-based strategy game we've been developing for 8 months. Starting with a simple framework, we've come a long way and are proud of our progress. With our in-house Terra Graphics Engine, we're running version 0.0.2w180 as we refine and push towards version 0.0.21, which marks the second major update built entirely on our engine and road-mapped to Alpha (so far, lol).

Our builds regularly reach testers, and their feedback has been instrumental in shaping the game. We are committed to delivering a highly polished experience with a planned roadmap through Alpha and beyond. Once Alpha is ready, we’ll launch on Steam, marking an exciting new chapter for the project.

What Makes Terra Tactica Unique?

Our gameplay draws inspiration from Civilization for core mechanics, Minecraft for its world generation and player freedom, Age of Empires for city-building and management, and Stellaris for diplomacy. While influenced by these classics, Terra Tactica stands apart with completely reimagined systems and fresh gameplay elements designed to make it uniquely our own.

Our ultimate goal? To create a game that players love—one that makes them lose hours exploring, strategizing, and immersing themselves in a world built for them.

What We’re Looking For

We seek dedicated developers to join our team and help us see this project through. We value individuals who think outside the box, share our passion for creative problem-solving, and are motivated by the desire to build something truly remarkable.

We’re not about the money—we rarely even talk about it. Instead, we’re a proactive, solutions-driven team that doesn’t shy away from challenges. We want developers who match our energy and are excited to build a game that feels as good to play as it is to make.

The Team

Our team includes:

  • 2 Lead Developers
  • 3 Senior Developers
  • 4 Developers
  • 2 Artists

We’ve worked together tirelessly over the last several months and are eager to welcome like-minded individuals to the team.

The Road Ahead

As a community-driven project, we plan to launch Alpha and Beta builds for free. Once we hit Alpha, we will begin crowdfunding through Steam. Supporters can donate and receive a special Steam inventory item as a collectible and a token of appreciation. These collectibles will be purely cosmetic—used for player banners in-game with no gameplay advantages—and tradeable on the Steam Market, so players can collect them if they choose, but it is not essential to gameplay. Players will also have access to a wide selection of free banner items as part of the game.

Microtransactions? Not here. We’re focused on creating an experience players can enjoy without the gimmicks.

What You’ll Be Working With

  • Graphics Engine: Terra Graphics Engine, powering everything in version 0.0.2w180 and beyond.
  • Tools: Most of the team uses PyCharm, with others working in VS Code.
  • Project Management: All tasks and progress are tracked through our GitHub Project Page.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Python.
  • A passion for creative problem-solving and thinking outside the box.
  • Enthusiasm for building something bigger than yourself. We put our egos aside on this team.

We'd love to hear from you if you’re ready to join a dedicated team and work on a project that promises to challenge and inspire.

Looking for Dev to help with Custom Motion Matching movement for my game

Hi there!

I'm a solo dev and willing to pay someone who can help me out here! I'm planning on releasing a demo before the end of summer next year and if it pops off, i'm willing to give a large tip as well. And if the game REALLY pops off, I'll offer a job to a COOP profit sharing company i've dreamt of making all my life. But, unfortunately i've been struggling with the following movement in making the game fun and i'm hoping someone here has some expertise in this!

My game is a 3D RPG. i'm looking to integrate realistic Motion Matching into my current game where it selects the best animation based on the direction i choose. And, selects portions of animations to blend between smoothly based on foot positioning. My animator which has several nested blend trees for the movement with several parameters to choose between unfortunately looks janky with it. So i'm hoping maybe someone here knows how i can try to get my movement to look like this:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Z7dh4SjHmik

My game is statemachine based and transitions between several animations. I developed it off of this project and expanded it dramatically but the foundation is pretty much the same from this github project:
https://github.com/Wafflus/unity-genshin-impact-movement-system

I tried working with the popular motion matching unity asset awhile back but was never able to make it work with my code. And it's WAY too complicated for me, especially since i'm just a newby dev with 1.5 years of experience in C# Unity coding. I did find this asset that recently released called Simple Motion Matching which is pretty great honestly, despite the reviews. it's about 6 different scripts and each script is only 10-30 lines of code which is honestly amazing! the simpler the code, the better.
https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/animation/simple-motion-matching-293665

but unfortunately, i'm struggling with understanding how to make it work and hoping if i can hire someone that can make it work with the stateMachine github project i linked where it selects the best animation and the portion of that animation that fits best based on the Player direction and feet position. The thing is, there's several issues with this motion matching code which i can list. The current Motion matching asset also only uses root motion, but i wanted to use Rigidbody and Capsule collider physics movement. I also want this to be able to work with AI Humanoids as well and having it work with different animations like jump, dive, roll, slide, parkour, stop, land, etc.

If anyone is able to help with this and has experience working on movement for 3D games! Please Help me! again, i'm willing to pay and if the game does well and your able to achieve the youtube video in any way, i will offer more!

Thank you for reading this! If you're interested, please either comment below or message me directly.

Any standardized way to find collaborators?

Hi everyone! I’ve been browsing Reddit for a while now, and I feel super fortunate to have found this channel—it’s incredible to see how many innovative and curious minds are gathered here. I’ve always been fascinated by the creative energy that comes from collaborating with others, and seeing the discussions here has been really inspiring.

I was wondering if anyone here knows of any standardized methods or dedicated resources/platforms for finding collaborators for projects? I know many people use social media or forums like this one to connect, but I’m curious if there are more structured ways to discover people who share similar interests and skill sets, particularly in the world of tech and innovation. Whether it’s for small passion projects or something larger-scale, I feel like having a streamlined way to find like-minded collaborators would be so helpful—what do you all think?

On that note, I wanted to share a project I’m working on that I’m really excited about. I’ve been developing an AI/vision model designed to recognize and sort e-waste. The core idea is to create a system that can help address the growing global issue of e-waste by improving recycling efficiency and reducing the burden on manual labor. Eventually, the aim is to turn this into a commercially viable solution that can be scaled up and implemented across industries. It’s an ambitious goal, I know, but I really believe in the potential of this technology to make a tangible difference.

Right now, I’m in the early stages of the project and I’m looking to connect with people who might be interested in joining this journey. Specifically, I’d love to collaborate with folks who have experience in robotics, whether it’s in hardware design, automation, or software integration. But honestly, this is as much about learning and experimenting together as it is about building something impactful, so I’m open to working with anyone who’s enthusiastic about tackling a challenge like this. Whether you’re an expert, a hobbyist, or just someone curious to learn more about the field, I’d love to hear from you.

I’m also really curious to hear how others in this community have approached building teams or finding collaborators. What’s worked for you in the past? Are there any platforms or networks you’ve found especially useful for connecting with people? I feel like there’s so much potential for a tool that helps match people with complementary skills and interests, especially for projects in tech and innovation.

So if you’re interested in the project, have any thoughts or advice, or just want to chat about robotics, AI, or e-waste management, please don’t hesitate to drop a comment or send me a message.

[Hobby/RevShare] Looking for like-minded people to create an anime-styled game

Hello, I'm a Game Designer and 3D Artist and my dream is to make an anime styled game with souls-like elements playing in a open-world. To fulfill this dream I'm looking for like-minded people who are also at the beginning of their development phase.

Currently I'm working with another 3D (Technical) Character Artist who has the same idea and vision on the GDD of the game. I've been writing the game lore for several months and learning game design besides that. We're seniors in high school from Germany and could really need someone who is comfortable with being the Programmer of the project.

We're taking this project very serious and are currently planning the Pre-Production phase before we start moving into Production phase of the first prototype. We didn't plan the first prototype yet but we already thought about making core gameplay features including one boss and the start area of the planned open world map.

Right now we've planned to use Unreal Engine 5 since they provide many tools especially useful for indie developers. That means we would be very grateful if you're learning Unreal Engine 5 and C++. To manage the whole project we're using Miro, Discord and Google Office and planning the roadmap and daily meetings. We would provide more details about the game project in the DMs but like I've said we would like to combine the elements of a Souls-like game and keep the graphics anime-stylized. We already have innovative ideas written in the GDD but are open for more new creative ideas.

This is a long-term project that requires dedication and patience since we are also learning new stuff. That means if you are a beginner like us and willing to learn and work and meet daily please contact us. Even if this project won't work out we think that we will gain important experience and knowledge. We expect to finalize the first prototype in end 2025 (very unprecise prediction). Should it get to the point where we generate income we will split it equally.

Here is a small Portfolio of our learning process and what we currently do: Portfolio

[HOBBY] Writer looking for story-focused games to work on

Hi there, I'm a writer who's looking to participate in passion projects! I also want to build on my portfolio just in case. My best work is often seen in romance scripts or psych thrillers, but I'm not against writing for other genres.

I can also help with designing game plots, especially if there are psych thrillers. Although I do not have a lot of experience working in a team, I have a lot of experience in writing. I namely have experience in writing ASMR scripts, and if you want to see examples of that, please refer to this. And if you want more of a descriptive writer, something more plot based and literary focused, I also enjoy writing novels. If you want to see some of that, refer to this

My specialties lie in, as I said before, otome games and psych thrillers, but I also focus a lot on characterisation. So if you feel like your characters need a little more life to them, I can definitely help out. I’m not picky with who I work with, but if you’re looking for a visual novel that’s a little more descriptive and text heavy, I’d love to join your team!

I’m open to a lot of genres, but if you want an otome game or a thriller written, I’m definitely raring to go on that front.

If you’re interested, please DM me!

You can contact me either using my email: writeandwriteaway@gmail.com

Or  my discord: canijustsleep

Or just DM me!

[Revshare/Hobby] Experienced developer, looking for artist to partner with to make games

Hey everyone,

What I'm looking for:
I'm looking for an artist (who also has an interest in game design) to partner up with who has an idea for a game they want to make. Preferably one who have released one or more games, so there's a higher chance for successfully releasing the game.

Ideally the game would be something that could realistically be completed within 6-12 months, I'd be willing to work on a longer project if the idea is solid, and you can show enough experience so I'm confident the game will be finished. I'm also not interested in joining an already established big team, but I'd be open to an existing team with fewer than 5 members.

About me:
I've worked as a software engineer for 10 years (outside of game development), and have dabbled in game development for a while now. I'm in the CEST timezone, so preferably you'd live close to that, so it'll make working together easier.

I've released two games (and working on a third); An Android game, and a PC game for Steam.
Steam game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2266260/Hold_The_Door/
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.WeMakeGames.CastleClimbers

The third game is going into it's final steps right now, which gives me time to find someone to partner with and work on something new.

I'm fairly open to genres (No platformers though), but I would be more interested in working on something strategy/idle-related. I'm open to both 2D and 3D, but would be more interested in 3D.

Send me a DM here on Reddit, or hit me up on Discord kaptajnen - I'm more likely to quickly respond on Discord.

EDIT
Just as a note, I am and will be working in Unity.

[For Hire] Retro DTM Style and Orchestral composer available for work!

Hello, I'm Glacie! I've been making music for games for the past 3 years, and I've been a classical pianist and VGM enthusiast since I was little.

Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I love creating soundtracks that bring stories, characters, and worlds to life with music! I'm a firm believer that good music can make or break a game, and without music that fits the right mood, has the right style that fits the visual flair of the project, and fits the situation on screen, the entire atmosphere of a game feels really off.

I primarily make DTM music, which means I make use of physical midi synths and ROMplers that actual composers used in the 16/32-bit era to give games that sort of retro 90s, 16/32-bit feel to the music I create. I can also do some really nice Orchestral music, and I'm also open to trying out new styles if you're looking for something just a little bit different!

I can also *implement* music for you if that's something you need as well! I've got experience using FMOD in unity and godot, as well as basic 3D audio in unreal engine.

You can find my works here on my Bandcamp Page. My rates depend on project size and complexity, and are completely negotiable if need be. You can message me here, or at my email: glacieawn@gmail.com for more details

If this sounds like something you need for your next project, feel free to contact me! I'd love to talk further about your idea and work with you to bring your next project to life!

[RevShare] Looking for a 3D Artist to work on a puzzle-platformer I've been working on for 3 years

Hi everyone,

My name is Almog, and I’ve been working solo on Nylos, a physics-based puzzle platformer, for the past three years. I plan to finish the game within the next year and am currently in talks with publishers. To speed up development, I’m looking for a talented 3D artist to join me in bringing the game’s world to life.

Here’s a YouTube video showcasing Nylos to give you a feel for the style and gameplay.

About the Role

I need help with:

  • Props: Detailed assets for the game world.
  • Environments: Lush caves, floating islands, and high-tech labs.
  • Character Designs: Outfits and upgrades for Nylos

It’s important that your art can match Nylos’ current visual style.

Why Join Me?

Nylos features unique puzzle mechanics like gravity zones, object resizing, and quantum linking. Your work will directly shape the game and its appeal. While I don’t have funding right now, I’m actively working with publishers, and this is a revenue-share collaboration.

Requirements

  • Experience in 3D modeling with a portfolio to showcase your work.
  • Familiarity with Blender (preferred) and Unity workflows.
  • Ability to adapt to an existing art style.

How to Apply

If you’re interested, message me here or on Discord (almog1752) with:

  • Your portfolio or examples of your work.
  • A quick intro about yourself and why this project excites you.

This is a passion project that’s on the brink of completion, and I’d love to collaborate with someone who shares the same drive to create something amazing.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Cheers,
Almog

[HOBBY] Sound designers, Music composers, Lighting artist, and Violinist urgently needed for Animated Short Film

Hello everyone!

My name is Liu, and I am an illustrator and hobbyist writer.

I've been working on a story lately and recently decided to turn it into an animated short film. It's my first time having a writing project done at this scale, but I want to see what it's like to make my thoughts and ideas come to life while working with other talented and like-minded people!

The story will revolve around the themes of existential meaning and connection. The expected run time should be around 5-10 minutes!

While this opportunity is not a paid collaboration, as I am still at a young age, I would hope this could still be a fun experience for anyone who wants to be part-- whether its for learning new skills, interacting with other creatives, filling up a portfolio, or simply enjoying the process of making something new. Full credit will be given as well, for I really value the hard work anyone could bring

So far, I have a team of 4 (consisting of an Editor, Pianist, and Animator). I take the role of the Director, Background Artist and Storyboard artist / Color Scripter. However, I still need other members that are essential.

As of now, I need people to help fill these roles as these positions are still empty and required to make the plot work:

  1. Music Composer - The film needs a piano and violin scored original music that matches the pacing and storytelling of the plot. This is also really important for other aspects like symbolism

  2. Violinist - To play the violin part of the music. As of now, I only have a pianist. Any engine or tools that can be used to remove background noise is needed

  3. Lighting artist - To amplify the visual effects of the lighting. As an illustrator with knowledge on color and its psychology, I’m using color and light as one of the main storytelling aspect to make up for the animation. I have no access to engines such as After effects, so people who have knowledge on lighting on animation are open to help

  4. Sound designer - I also need sound effects such as a background hum, equipment sounds, and other audio that could help in the audio-wise storytelling!

Main communication method would involve Discord (for organized chatting), Google Drive (for files), and other Google services such as Sheets and Documents.

If you’re interested in joining, do send your info and previous relevant work to:

a. email : liuji.00013@gmail.com

b. instagram : 00.liuji

messages or emails will only be considered until December 30, 2024. However, I'm still going to accept some outside the deadline! Thank you so much!

Please note that I am not in any form an art student, nor am I a worker, or a teenager who has the ability and resources to pay. This is purely out of my desire to create and share my thoughts. I hope this can set the expectations when joining. :)

[RevShare] Be my other half!

Alright! I am a mainly blender 3D artist with their own style but similar to anime.

(Basic showcase I whipped up very quickly for overall idea https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PgwVlqfYoKpQX48W5lblswGE3gE4C8s25QcDrTIN7Hw/edit)

I am looking to create a game that blends the story/atmosphere of Danganropa with the mechanics of kindergarten 2, that is an endless time loop where repeat the set day (or night) and advance quests with items carried over.

The scope of the game will be small to medium, mostly relying on the art and writing as opposed to heavy game mechanics. That being said, I’m ideally looking for someone to be my other half, the programming side of my team. (I do have some experience in unreal, but I prefer the modeling side and struggle to do it all at once anyhow) The exact way the game will be played (top down vs first person) can be decided by us later, but there will also be a portion of the game where the models will be up close, visual novel style.

In addition, I’d love if they were creatively minded to help come up with unique story ideas and plot lines, and helping me write character dialogue.

Let me know if you like my style and think you’d like to work on the project!

(Bonus if u can rig holy hell it’s the bane of my existence)

If you are interested, DM my discord @dazillymodels, and we can start to “interview” each other!!

Word count adding stuff Lorem ipsum is a placeholder text used in graphic design, publishing, and web development to indicate where content will appear without relying on meaningful content: The text comes from a Latin version of a passage from de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum, a treatise written by Cicero in 45 B.C. In the 1500s, an unknown printer scrambled the text to create a type specimen book.

About Me: My name is Matthew Mcguigan, I'm a composer based in Scotland with a particular interest in video game soundtracks.
I've been studying music for the past 9 years, it's been a very interesting journey with lots of ups and downs. I have vast experience performing with others and arranging for many different styles/genres, this hands on experience gives me a deep understanding of how these genres are effectively constructed.

Throughout these 9 years I've been developing my composition skills, I take pride in scoring authentic and powerful pieces for any style I am tasked with. Even as a college graduate I continue learning new things every day, never satisfied with my status quo.

Everyone who I've worked with has been very happy with their result, I will work hard to ensure you feel the same way.

Skills: Orchestral, Jazz, Rock. Capable of much more, more than happy to discuss your individual needs.

Availability: Part-time. Can shift my schedule to meet your goals.

Rates: Usually £100 per minute of music, but this remains negotiable. We can work out a solution that gets you what you need within your budget.

Contact: Feel free to DM me here on reddit or on Discord at Scrumblob, or contact this email: matthew.f.mcguigan@gmail.com

[HOBBY] Pixel Art needed for short game already in production

Hello

I partnered up with a programmer and we are making a very short game, just to be a portfolio piece for the people involved in the project.

It is a simple platformer, just walk, shoot some enemies, jump some holes, kill a mini-boss and that is it. Again: a portfolio piece. Something to post on itch io or whatever you want. You can post anywhere, as long as you give proper credit to the team :)
I have a short video of the initial gameplay and a sheet with the sprites we will need to finish the game.

Now we are looking for someone who could help us with the pixel art.

I think the most important thing about the project is that we are making a very short game, almost what we would do in a game jam, but with no time limit.
I say that to point out that this is not a project that will drag on forever and take ages to be finished or abandoned mid production.

Hit me up if you want to know more details about it. Comment here, chat or DM me, or we can go to Discord if it is easier for you.

Also, if you have some other arts or some ideas for very short games like this one we are making, I would love to help you with that (after we are done with this first piece, of course).

Hope this post is in the right place. Thanks :)
