[RevShare/Hobby] Looking to contribute to a Diablo-esque(ARPG) or Baldurs Gate-esque(Tactics) game.

Hi!

I'm a unity C# programmer trying to break into AAA, with experience working on prototypes with small teams, both with industry hopefuls and those who have industry experience.

I'm a systems guy, loving all things systems programming. I'm not the best when it comes to character controllers / making good combat, but if you need your ability system backbone or your AI behaviours, I'm your guy.

I'm looking for a passionate team working on these sorts of top down action games, or perhaps even RPG games akin to Divinity / Baldurs Gate / Pathfinder, with heavy emphasis on systems. I'd hope that the folks on the team are not only passionate, but experienced to some degree. Doesn't have to be industry experience, but I'm hoping to find folks who also want to land in games and are putting 110% into everything they do.

On a side note, if you're a designer or a fellow programmer/artist who has the same ambitions as me, reach out. Perhaps we can figure this thing out together and put together a small team with a small scoped game in these genres. I'm no designer, but perhaps one of you have an awesome idea that I just can't wait to get started on.

My availability: My work is seasonal, and the winter season means plenty of time. Other than that, I do spend time working on a small prototype, but with the winter season beginning I'll have plenty of time to work on your/our project.

Feel free to reach out here and we can coordinate on discord.

Wanted to put some of my game inspirations below, incase your project/ideas align with the games I'm most passionate about:

Path of Exile / Diablo / Grim Dawn / Torchlight / Etc.

Gauntlet Slayer Edition (even back as far as Gauntlet Legend for the n64)

Ravenswatch

Hero Siege / Chronicon / Heroes of Hammerwatch

Baldur's Gate 2 & 3, Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2, X-COM, Basically all turn based tactics games

[Hobby] Monthly Undesigned Project looking for Project Manager

Hey, we're a team of 18 people working on creating a fun game in a month. Our goal is simple: make a game and release it on Steam by the end of January. The project will run for exactly one month, with our first team meeting happening this Friday. Think of it like a game jam without competition, perfect for resumes or learning. I'm a game programmer with 8 years of experience, currently pursuing my Masters in the US. I also do pixel art and make music (guitar and 8-bit chiptune) with 2 years of experience in both. Our team consists of pixel artists and programmers with varying experience levels working in Godot.

We're looking for a project manager who can help coordinate our large team and ensure we stay on track. The most important thing to note is that this is a hobby project, and we welcome everyone regardless of their experience level. The only requirement is that you are usually online and have some experience in project management. After determining this, development will start. Your main role will be facilitating communication between team members, organizing meetings, and helping track our progress toward milestones.

The goal is when the month of January ends, you can look back and say to yourself, "I helped manage and ship a fun game." If you want to learn project management skills or develop your existing ones, just message me to join the project.

My discord is kerimcant

To clarify, the game that will be made is going to be decided by the members. You will not be a game designer, making decisions on the game design. The decisions will be made by the whole team by votes.

[Hobby] UE5 cowboy fps game

Hello and welcome! I’m an aspiring game developer with around six months of hands-on experience. Over the course of these months, I’ve worked hard to learn and understand the basics of game development, and now I feel that it’s finally time to take the next step and tackle my first big project. I’m incredibly excited to embark on this journey, and I’m looking for passionate individuals who share the same enthusiasm for gaming to join me in bringing this vision to life.

I am looking to form a team of around 5 to 10 people, with varying levels of experience—whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been in the game development industry for years, I’m open to collaborating with anyone who’s motivated and eager to contribute. I believe every team member, regardless of skill level, has something valuable to offer.

In particular, I’m seeking modelers and animators to help bring the world and characters of this game to life. However, the door is open to anyone with talents in areas like programming, sound design, level design, and more. The more creative minds we have on board, the better our chances of creating something truly unique. Anything you bring to the table is welcomed, whether it’s technical skills, artistic vision, or innovative ideas.

The game concept I have in mind is an intense, fast-paced cowboy-themed first-person shooter, drawing heavy inspiration from classics like DOOM, Wolfenstein, and Devil May Cry 5. The core gameplay will center around relentless action, rewarding sharp reflexes and fast decision-making. One of the standout features of the game will be a dual-wield weapon system, allowing players to customize and switch up their weapon combinations on the fly, creating dynamic and exciting combat sequences. The goal is to make a game that’s all about the thrill of the fight, with the focus on gameplay rather than a complex narrative. While I’m not planning to include a story or much of one at the start, I do envision it as an endless wave-type game, where players face increasingly difficult enemies in a high-energy environment.

That said, I’m always open to feedback and suggestions, and I believe in collaborative creativity. So if you have ideas or thoughts on what could improve or alter the direction of the game, I’d love to hear them. I want this project to be something we all contribute to and make together.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and I’m looking forward to hearing from anyone who’s interested in joining this exciting project. Let’s create something amazing together! Have a great day

[Rev Share] Anime-Style Action game seeking a 3D Artist (UE5) to join the team

About the project

I've been developing this project for about 3 years as a hobby and it's been gaining some momentum in the last few months.
It's a stylish action game about a magic swordsman, trying to fend off dark creatures that are corrupting his memories.
The game is inspired by Kingdom Hearts and Devil May Cry.
The game already has a lot of code written for it. A lot of the core gameply is already done, and I'm working on level design and progression systems next.
We had some consultation from an industry veteran and we're seemingly going in an excellent direction. The game is developed in Unreal Engine 5.

Here are some links!

What I'm looking for

I'm looking for a tech artist or 3D Generalist that loves stylized anime-inspired art styles and is looking to make his mark with me. Someone with inspiration and technical knowledge that can help the art of the game really stand out. Big bonus if you have any additional skills that can help the project along, since I want to focus on a small team. So if you can fill additional gamedev roles that would be great.

I've already comissioned a lot of concept art and 3D assets for the game and they look really good, I must say. Whomever joins will have a high bar set for them, but I see that as a big plus.

The Team

  • Myself, a programmer of over 15 years with experiece in many fields. I'm the only programmer\developer currently on the team. I also do the writing, game design, level design and some VFX.
  • A writer and 3D artist and animator.
  • 3D environment artist
  • A composer
  • 3d animator who joined recently
  • A sound designeer set to join soon

If you think you will be a good fit for this project, please send your portfolio over and we can have a chat. Please include relevant data. For example, if you have any experience in stylized shading systems.

[Hobby or Revshare] Seeking a team for an arcade shooter

Hello all!

I am searching for a team to start work on a passion project of mine "All in: Wager Warfare"

Professionally, I am a Knowledge Manager for an MSP company. This role has given me many skills such as team/project managment, idea mapping, and professional communication.

On the Hobby side of things, I have been PC and console gaming for 15+ years now and have tested and advised on many small projects. I also do technical and fiction writing, pixel art, and voice acting.

I have decided to use these skills and experiences to take a crack at starting a studio. The first game to be released.. All In: Wager Warfare

This project is an arcade shooter with non payed in-game currency wagering. Inspired by the wager matches of Call of Duty Black Ops (2010)

I have lots of ideas and have started mapping out the game modes and fun spins that will make this a unique experience.

I want to make it clear that this is just inspired by COD BO, and each game mode will be fully fleshed out and unique from it's COD counterpart. I am open to discussing brand new game modes as well!

The only non negotiable for this project is the monitization model. I have a specific vison to keep scummy micro transactions out of this project. There will be monitization, but id rather get creative and keep the in-game currency not tied to real money.

I am interested in doing this as a hobby, but am fully willing to revshare and create a partnership to start a studio if this takes off. If you are a unity dev, artist, sound designer, 3d modeler and this concept sounds fun to you, feel free to reach out and we can talk!

[ForHire] Looking for developer to make a 2D Survival Game.

Hi everyone,

I hope I’m explaining this clearly and in the right format for this subreddit. I’m reaching out in the hopes of finding an experienced developer or programmer to help bring a game I’ve been working on for over 3-4 years to life. (Yes, it’s been a long time coming!) If you’re wondering why it’s taken me this long, the answer is simple: I haven’t been able to find a reliable developer. Unfortunately, many of the ones I’ve connected with in the past either weren’t fully committed or ended up ghosting me entirely, which has been frustrating.

The game is a top-down 2D survival game that’s heavily inspired by Rust and other end-of-the-world/post-apocalyptic survival games, like DayZ. It’s been a passion project of mine for years, and I’ve already completed all the art assets needed for the game. This includes detailed designs for guns, buildings, the game’s menu, in-game UI, and much more. At this point, the creative side is fully realized; I just need a talented developer to take all these pieces and turn them into an engaging, playable game.

To give you a better idea, the game will include full multiplayer functionality, complete with servers to host and manage games, as well as all the other features players expect in this genre. While I’m fully prepared to pay for your time and expertise, I’m also hoping to find someone who’s interested in being part of the project long-term. Ideally, you’d join the "team" and share in the income and profit that the game generates once it’s launched and (hopefully!) finds an audience.

If you’re someone who loves survival games, has experience with game development, or is just intrigued by the idea of turning a passion project into something tangible, I’d love to hear from you! This is more than just a freelance gig—I’m looking for someone who shares the same enthusiasm and vision for creating a unique survival experience that stands out in the gaming world.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in or you have any questions about the project, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to chat more and discuss the details. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope to hear from you soon!

Indie Devs: Want Millions of New Eyes on Your Game? I'm Offering Free Marketing Help 🚀

Hey!

I’m a huge fan of indie games, and I’m hoping to give back to the community while testing something new. Over the past 6 months, I’ve been running social media campaigns for a car accessory company, and here’s what I’ve been able to achieve:

  • Generated 58.4M+ views across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Grew Instagram followers by 430% and launched our TikTok from 64 to 14.5k followers.
  • Created 14 videos with over 1M+ views, including 5 at 4M+, 2 at 7M+, and one that topped 14.7M organic views.
  • Most importantly, these posts led to hundreds of thousands in sales.

Now, I want to see if I can replicate that success in the gaming world—a personal passion of mine. I’m offering free marketing help to 3–5 indie developers with completed and available games.

Here’s how it would work:

  1. I’ll create 1–2 original posts per week for your game across TikTok, Instagram, and/or YouTube.
  2. My focus is on high-quality, engaging content that aligns with proven strategies for going viral—no memes or reposts.
  3. You’ll have veto power over any post, but I ask for some creative freedom to test what works.

Why am I doing this?

  • I want to see if the lessons I’ve learned are transferable to the game industry.
  • This is a test run for a potential future paid service.
  • And honestly, I’d love to help deserving games get the attention they deserve!

If you’re interested, comment below or DM me with a brief description of your game (links encouraged). Let’s collaborate and bring millions of new eyes to your hard work. 🎮

Looking forward to working with some amazing devs!

[HOBBY] Looking for a Pixel Art Partner for a Roguelike-History Mode Game Project

I've started working on a roguelike game project with a story mode, similar to Inscryption. It combines elements from games like Balatro and has fast-paced gameplay inspired by Brotato and Vampire Survivors. The game focuses on wave-based enemy rounds with a unique pixel art style, which is where I need help.

The art style I'm aiming for is specific, something close to this image, but while I’ve tried my hand at pixel art, it’s far from the level of quality or style I envision for the game. I’m looking for a pixel artist who can help bring this vision to life, not just through creating assets but by collaborating on the aesthetic and design elements of the game.

The project is still in early development, so there's plenty of room for creative input. This is a collaborative effort where your ideas and contributions would be highly valued, whether it’s character design, environments, or other artistic details. If you’re familiar with the style seen in Brotato or Vampire Survivors, that’s a huge plus.

As this is a passion project, there’s no budget, but it’s driven by love for indie games. I'm looking for one or more 'partners' who share that same enthusiasm and want to create something special together. Whether you're an experienced pixel artist or someone looking to expand your skills, this could be a great opportunity to grow and experiment.

If you're into roguelikes, pixel art, and indie development, I'd love to team up and see where we can take this!

[Hobby] Seeking a team for a dark fantasy visual novel

Hello all! I am a game dev currently working on a fan made Curse of Strahd Dungeons and Dragons visual novel. After two years of stilted development, I've been taking this game more seriously and am in need of a team!

Fortunes of Barovia is a dark fantasy fan made visual novel based on Dungeons and Dragons' module Curse of Strahd. It takes place in one of the many demiplanes of dread, the misty Barovia. It includes vampires, a gothic setting, triggering topics, and an adventure waiting to happen. I have a small prototype published on itch.io, which you can find here.

I'm looking for individuals who can share ideas, want to put something out there, communicate regularly (or at least communicate when it gets busy), or just really want to geek out on a dark fantasy Dungeons and Dragons project about vampires. This project is very ambitious and going to have a very long development phase, so I'd like for the team to commit to it as long as they can.

These are the roles that I need for the visual novel:

Writers. I need writers to help develop, write and proofread the story and create branching storylines.

Sprite Pixel Artist. I need artists to draw the character sprites in the pixel art style.

UI/UX Artist. I need artists to create the UI/UX of the game, helping the visual novel achieve a more gothic, nicer experience.

Ren'Py Programmer. I need programmers who have experience coding with the Ren'Py language/engine.

Music Composer/Sound Designer. I need composers who can create a dark fantasy soundtrack for the game.

If you're interested in working with me, my dms are open! Thank you for your time and I hope to be working with you soon!

[Hobby or Revshare] A series called Confused Guilt

Heya, I'm the Project Manager/Writer of a small team making a series called Confused Guilt. I'm looking for a third writer to bring diversity to the group and our writing. I'm not quite sure what to say as I'm mostly doing this as a hobby instead of something purely for income, but I can describe the project and the progress to see if you'd enjoy working on it with us.

Confused Guilt is a series that follow a man named Caleb who was a Vietnam Veteran that has been honorably discharged in 1971 before the war ends. Caleb doesn't know where to go in life and feels alone, so he decides he's going to kill himself, but he gets a letter from one of his friend's widow telling him that his friend had promised him a room at their house. Caleb meets a few people that sway him to either find meaning in life or decide it isn't worth living among these people are..

Andrea is a Italian Vietnam Veteran who is now homeless in the town Caleb resides in, but Andrea has brought it upon himself to kill fellow Veterans not out of anger, but compassion. Andrea believes that his fellow Veterans are suffering deeply and the only way to help them is just to mercy kill them. Andrea will become friends with Caleb while finding a way to kill him, but after hanging out with him so many times; he can't bring himself to kill Caleb.

Dan is a young man that wants to be free via being famous or important, but he feels trapped in his small town. Dan will be helped by Caleb and slowly start to change leading to switching the roles and helping Caleb.

Lily is the widow of Caleb's friend named James who has now found herself fulfilling a promise she made to James before he died. Lily is still suffering from the loss of her late husband and invited Caleb to live with her more out of being alone than honoring her husband.

We're still at early script writing and have only made the first few scenes. We treat ourselves as equals in the story and where it will lead, so you can bring your own ideas to the show and have equal input into the project as a whole instead of one person choosing what ideas will make it in.

If you're interested in the project; you'd have more luck contacting me on Discord mr.pope2005. I look forward meeting some people and adding on an additional writer.

[Hobby] new UE5 developers wanted

Hello! I’m a new game developer with a passion for creating unique and engaging experiences. I've been working in the game development world for about six months now, and I’ve just completed a horror game under my belt. It’s been a thrilling journey so far, and I’ve been working solo, handling all aspects of the development including coding, world design, audio, and story development. While it's been an incredible learning experience, I’m now ready to expand and collaborate with others who share the same excitement and passion for game development.

I’m looking to build a team of like-minded individuals who want to connect on Discord, share creative ideas, and work together to bring unique game concepts to life. I believe in maintaining a chill and positive workspace where everyone feels comfortable, and I really value the importance of balance. Life can get busy, so I’m all about respecting personal time and understanding that sometimes people need time off. Communication and flexibility are key!

Experience is always valuable, but what I’m really looking for right now is someone with modeling and animating skills, as I feel that’s an area I could use some help with to take my projects to the next level. That said, any other skills you bring to the table are more than welcome! Whether it’s coding, world design, audio, or something else, I’m open to working together and learning from each other.

As for my current game idea, I’m envisioning a fast-paced, over-the-top FPS cowboy shooter with intense, Devil May Cry-style action. The gameplay would be high-energy and focus on quick reflexes and dynamic combat, but I’m more than open to any suggestions or changes my team may want to make to this idea. The beauty of working together is that we can shape the game into something truly unique and exciting!

If you’re interested in joining me on this journey and want to collaborate with some chill, creative people, feel free to DM me. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone who shares the same enthusiasm for making awesome games together.

Have a fantastic day, and I hope to hear from you soon!

[RevShare][Hobby]Composer looking for a project to volunteer for

Hello everyone! I’m a passionate composer looking to collaborate on a creative project to expand my portfolio with fresh, exciting music. I’m open to working with a variety of projects, but I do have a few criteria to ensure a productive and enjoyable partnership.

First, I’m only considering projects that have made some progress — at least 10-20% of the work should be complete. This helps ensure the project has direction and momentum. Unfortunately, I’m not accepting brand-new projects at this time. Additionally, the project needs to resonate with me; I’m looking for something that inspires me and aligns with my musical style.

I enjoy composing in a wide range of genres and styles, and I’m always up for exploring creative challenges. You can check out some of my work here: https://on.soundcloud.com/Mx8GoP6HB5o7RwQN8

If you’re interested, feel free to DM me here on Reddit or reach out on Discord: cradlabr. Let’s discuss your project and see if we’re a good fit!

[Paid] Environment Artist Needed for Indie Game

I'm developing When the Rain Stops, a narrative-driven indie game inspired by A Farewell to Arms for the Gaming Like It's 1929 jam. Set during a single, rain-soaked night in wartime Italy, the game explores themes of love, loss, and the inevitability of change.

The story follows Frederic, a soldier torn between duty and his love for Catherine, his resilient and heavily pregnant partner. The player's choices during their final night together—what to say, how to interact, and where to focus—shape the emotional tone of their goodbye and the memories left behind. Developed in Twine, the game combines branching dialogue, interactive storytelling, and environmental storytelling to create an immersive, character-driven narrative.

The setting—a small Italian apartment—is the heart of the story. It reflects the intimacy of the characters' relationship and the fragility of the world around them. I'm looking for an environment artist skilled in painterly realism to create concept art that captures this mood. The art style is inspired by Firewatch and Florence, emphasisng atmosphere, light, and small, meaningful details. Key features include rain-soaked windows, warm candlelight, personal items like a baby's cradle, a soldier's uniform, and letters scattered across a table.

How to Apply:

Please DM me with your portfolio, rates, and availability. I'm particularly interested in seeing examples of painterly, mood-driven environments and any narrative-focused work you've done. Feel free to include a brief note about how you'd approach capturing the emotional depth of this setting.

I’m excited to collaborate with an artist who can bring the setting of When the Rain Stops to life!

[Hobby/Paid] Music composer looking for a team.

Hi there. I'm a music composer. Nowadays, I'm interested in games and want to be involved in game-making.

Specifically, I love games like "Yume Nikki", "Flesh, Blood, & Concrete", "OMORI" and "Milk Outside a Bag of Milk", in which psychological exploration is the main theme. If you guys have the same game taste and plan to create this kind of game, I'm genuinely all for it. Also, I can do work by being paid or non-paid according to the content of the game.

Here is my music you can check,

volume1

volume2

As I briefly run down my music album, the first volume is a collection of songs that naturally generate a bright and uplifting vibe and the second is a compilation of dark and atmospheric songs or loops.

I have a strong point about making an atmospheric and emotionally poignant sound that fits into the aforementioned games. If you're intrigued enough, pls contact me by IG or email!

[RevShare] Seeking Unity 3D C# Programmer for Indie Project – Collaboration Opportunity

I'm currently co-developing an indie 3D game and am seeking a C# programmer experienced with Unity 3D to join our small team. While we can't offer upfront payment, we're open to discussing a revenue-sharing arrangement and are eager to share more details about the project through direct messages to gauge mutual interest. (FYI:(my partner was found on Reddit, she loved the idea).

About Us:

  • Team Size: Two members: myself and an artist/animator who is creating and animating characters and assets.
  • Project Status: We've made progress, with much of the early code run-tested. However, due to the holiday season, development has slowed, and we're looking to get back on track.
  • Our Commitment: This isn't a typical "I have an idea, someone make it for me" scenario. Both of us are actively involved in the development process and are committed to bringing this game to life and within a reasonable amount of time.

What We're Looking For:

  • Role: C# Programmer with Unity 3D experience.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Code cleanup and optimization.
    • Implementing new gameplay features.
    • Collaborating closely with us to overcome challenges.
  • Requirements:
    • Familiarity with Unity 3D.
    • Patience and willingness to work with a team that's learning and growing together.
    • Good communication skills.
  • Collaboration Terms: Revenue-sharing model, details to be discussed.

Next Steps:

If you're interested, please reach out via direct message. I'd be happy to discuss the project in more detail and answer any questions. Please note that I'll need to run any decisions by my partner, but I don't anticipate any issues.

We believe our game has great potential and are hopeful to find someone with experience who is willing to listen and consider joining us on this journey.

Thank you for considering this opportunity. We look forward to hearing from you.

🎮 Calling Creatives for collab on an Indie PS5 Action RPG! 🎮

Hello, fellow creators!

How does an indie team stand out against AAA studios? By creating a game with heart, vision, and the collaborative spirit of passionate creators like you!

We’re an indie game studio working on an ambitious Action RPG for the PlayStation 5, and we need dedicated volunteers to help bring this project to life. This is a 9-month remote project, and we’re looking for talented individuals to join our team.

What’s the Game About?

Set in the expansive Fictional multiverse, this story-driven Action RPG explores the final chapter in a champion warrior’s life. Players will experience:

  • Intense combat and cosmic enemies
  • Emotional choices and a doomed love story
  • A deep, lore-rich narrative avoiding overused tropes of gameplay while delivering a unique, unforgettable adventure

Our story includes Visual Novel-style cutscenes, blending gorgeous, anime-inspired 2D artwork with dynamic text-driven storytelling. These scenes emphasize the emotional weight of key moments, offering players an immersive and cinematic experience that seamlessly connects the gameplay with the narrative.

Who We’re Looking For:

We need creative talent to fill the following roles:

  • UI/UX Designers: Design sleek, intuitive interfaces with a sci-fi/fantasy edge.
  • Anime/Manga Artists: Shape our Visual Novel cutscenes with your unique style.
  • Game Artists: Specialists in textures, shaders, and VFX.

What We Offer:

This is a volunteer project, but we promise to make it a rewarding experience:

  • In-Game Credit: Your name immortalized in the game’s credits.
  • Portfolio Opportunities: A chance to showcase your work on a PS5 project.
  • Networking: Collaborate with like-minded creatives in the gaming industry.
  • Creative Freedom: Help shape a project that values your unique vision.

How to Join:

If this sounds like your kind of project, here’s how to apply:

  • DM private chat with:
    • Your name/alias
    • The role(s) you’re interested in
    • A link to your portfolio, demo reel, or resume (if available)
    • A short statement on why you’re excited to contribute
  • Let me know what you are interested in helping with, share your credentials privately (Direct Chat), and I will privately direct chat you my legal entity history and the previous 10 developed and published games. You don't have to show your credentials publicly. (This is to avoid scrooges, grinches, creeps and the human nature of trying to compete, one-up, judge, or criticize one Another.)

Final Note:

Unfortunately, Reddit doesn't allow videos or images, but upon inquiry consideration will grant access to current videos and screenshots. This is a passion project driven by creativity and collaboration. If you’re ready to make an unforgettable PS5 Action RPG and bring our Visual Novel-style cutscenes to life, we’d love to have you on board.

Let’s create something extraordinary together! 🎨🎮✨

[Hobby] I'm looking for an artist for my metroidvania game

I am a 14 year old dutch gamedev looking for an artist. I'm making a metroidvania that is kind off based on hollow knight called "Chickens". I have just finished the menu and am now working on the game itself but I lack the artistic skills for making backgrounds, characters, etc. So now I'm looking for someone who is wants to work together on this game. Free btw. Ofcourse if the game actually makes money eventually you will get a fair share (which we can discuss then). I speak dutch but also speak English almost fluently but I don't like speaking English In voice calls.

Info about my game:

Name: Chickens Plot: For some reason (yet to be decided), on this world full of different animals, everyone hates chickens. You (Beak) have to solve this problem. In the game you just kill enemies, fight bosses, etc. After every boss (every area has a bos) there is a lever and a keycard. The lever makes a big dome around the area that that bos was guarding. This puts all the enemies in some kind of mindless state where they just stand still and don't attack you anymore. The keycard is for a machine that let's you transform (which is required for most areas) into a combo of a chicken and whatever animal that boss is. You need this because for example you have a fight with a boss and the next area is a underwater area, a normal chicken will drown, so the previous boss is some kind of fish so you can go underwater. This goes for most areas. Eventually there are also some bosses that are chickens (which you aren't supposed to kill but have to for progression of the game) that are guarding important areas for game progression. I haven't yet figured out how the game is going to end but I hope this gives you a kind of insight of how to game will be.

If you're interested or need more info about the game or something else feel free to dm me.

Thanks

[For Hire] Music composer available for work

Hi there! My name is Julian and I’m looking for more projects to be a part of. I mainly write orchestral music but I'm happy to try other genres of music to expand my skills. Most of my experience comes from making video game music for Tactical RPGs and Visual Novels

Additionally, I have done music for a metroidvania game, a calm relaxing mobile puzzle game, trailer music for a horror game, and a few other ones. I’m open to any kind of project if you think my work would be a good fit!

Here is a link to a Youtube playlist of all my music demo reels.

To get an idea of my rates, the starting rate I currently charge is 175CAD per minute of music for non-commercial (free-to-play/personal hobbies) use. I am open to discussion to figure something out that will work between the both of us if I am out of your budget.

Hi everyone,

We’re a small team working on a horror game that’s primarily a walking simulator. Without additional help, we’re unable to move forward in production.

We’re reaching out to find someone who has a passion for creating art assets and would like to join us to finish this project. Whether you’re just starting out and want to gain experience or you enjoy collaborating on hobby projects, we’d love to have your help.

Here’s what we need to complete the game:

  • A room
  • A corridor
  • Some lighting settings in Unity
  • Two NPC models
  • A trash bin

This is a hobby project, so it’s unpaid, but we hope it can be a fun collaboration or a way to gain experience. We are planning to release the game on both itch.io and Steam.

My name is Almog, and I’ve been working on Nylos, a physics-based puzzle platformer, for the past three years. With the goal of completing the game within the next year, I’m now collaborating with an artist to refine the visuals and am looking for a talented programmer to help push the game to the finish line.

Here’s a YouTube video showcasing Nylos to give you a feel for the style and gameplay.

About the Role:

I’m looking for a developer to handle technical features such as:

I’m also a programmer, so we will be working together on finishing everything. I just need someone to take some load off me, as there are a lot of other things to do.

Why Join Me?

Nylos features unique puzzle mechanics with stunning visuals with a game that feels really good to play, and of course there is a demo you can play. Your work will directly shape the game and its appeal. While I don’t have funding right now, I’m actively working with publishers, and this is a revenue-share collaboration.

  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to adapt to an existing codebase.

How to Apply:

If you’re interested, message me here or on Discord (almog1752) with:

Looking for a UGS programmer to help finish a project

Hi everyone,

As the title suggests, I’m looking for a programmer with experience in Unity and Unity Gaming Services (UGS) to help finalize a game I’ve been developing. The project is a small, 6-player online arena game with fast-paced action and competitive elements. I’ve already completed the core systems for online hosting, client connection, and matchmaking, so the networking side is fully functional. What remains is a handful of gameplay tasks and some polishing to bring everything together.

While I could finish these remaining tasks myself, I’d like to dedicate more time to the art and visual aspects of the game now that the technical side has proven viable. I’m looking for someone who can step in to help wrap up the gameplay systems and ensure everything runs smoothly. Ideally, you’d have a good understanding of multiplayer gameplay mechanics and a passion for working on indie projects.

A little about me: I’ve been part of the games industry for over 15 years, with experience working in professional studios and as a solo indie developer. I’ve shipped three titles during this time, with my most recent being StarLightRiders: HyperJump. You can check it out here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/605980/StarLightRiders_HyperJump/

If this sounds like a project you’d like to get involved in, feel free to message me! I’m happy to share more details about the game, the work left to do, and how we can collaborate to finish this exciting project.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

[Hobby] Looking for someone to help me develop a VR horror game

Howdy! Thanks for clicking on this post! I’ll make it short and simple. To start off, I don’t know much programming, or rather, I don’t know any programming. I’ve done stuff in the past, but it was very simple block coding. I’m smart and a quick learner, but I often struggle with programming.

With that out of the way, I’m looking to make a VR horror game. It’s a simple animal hunting game with a tutorial with a little prompt that guides you to “hunt three deer”, then “hunt three rabbits”, then “hunt three bears”, etc. Once the player finishes that, the prompt tells them to “hunt the man” (or something along those lines). It then quickly spirals into a terrifying fight for survival against a supernatural entity that hunts you. It has what I believe to be generally simple mechanics and a straightforward story. It is very guided and not really open world. In other words, it’s a lot like a movie (I’m a soon-to-be college filmmaker, which seems to be influencing what type of game this is). If that doesn’t help, the closest game I can think of is Squirrel Stapler (it’s a pretty good example of this type of game, look it up if you’re confused by my descriptions). If you’re interested in helping me, please let me know. Unfortunately, I don’t have money to pay you, but as I said earlier, I think it’s pretty simple. I’m trying to learn Unity, but I’m having some trouble. If you’re unable/unwilling to do the whole game, I would really appreciate it if you could get in a call and walk me through some stuff to help me learn Unity and make the game. This is a fun passion project I’m working on and would love to see it come to life.

Thanks!

[RevShare][ForHire] Unity Dev/Game Designer/Writer

Hi all, I'm looking for creative remote opportunities.

My core skills are problem solving, game design, Unity/C# programming, and writing.

I’m familiar with multiple Unity features both for 2D and 3D: from creating custom Cinemachine camera systems to achieving cinematic results similar to the camera system used in the PS2/PS3 God of War games, to small projects with Unity ML Agents.

I come up with ideas - and I execute them as well, fast and with fully playable prototypes from title to game over screen (with persistent high scores and all).

My portfolio is in my bio; apparently the link was causing the post to be automatically removed, so I won't post the link.

Edit: I can probably post the link to itch.io:

https://roughseas.itch.io/

My portfolio is a google site, there are a number of playable games I've published on itch, a small app to find out users not following back on Instagram that leverages third party libraries, plus short stories and excerpts from my writings translated into english by myself. They belong to multiple genres, and they are nicely formatted in ePub format for quick reading on tablets.

I'm open to collaboration with artists and other indie devs for small indie projects as well. The idea is to start with small, humble and manageable projects but with the will to aim for excellence, gradually expanding scale and complexity.

3D ARTIST for towns: DM and we can talk specifics

About SHADOW REMNANT:

A TURN BASED STRATEGY RPG.

Vera has the power to control Remnants, Giant beasts from an alien race, and the empire has been using this power to conquer any opposition. So she flees. A soldier on the run from her old friends and comrades.

The main story starts 3 years later, with Vera hiding in a small village as a farmer. She is soon thrown into battle and her allies discover how well trained she is. [Hobby/RevShare/For Hire] Aspiring Game Developer Seeking Team to Grow and Collaborate

Hi all!

I’m an aspiring game developer looking to take the next step in my journey by joining a passionate and motivated team. Over the past few months, I’ve been honing my skills through personal projects, creating basic prototypes, and diving deeply into the intricacies of game mechanics, procedural generation, and system interactions.

My experience primarily revolves around using Godot, where I’ve started to develop a good understanding of game development. I’m particularly drawn to survival, RPG, and open-world sandbox genres. Recently, I’ve been exploring systems like procedural terrain generation, dynamic weather, and scalable NPC difficulty. I’m constantly trying to push my boundaries to create engaging and interactive experiences. I want to make systems that foster player interaction and engagement.

What I’m looking for is a collaborative and supportive environment where I can contribute my skills, learn from others, and work on impactful projects. I want to move beyond standalone prototypes and be part of a team crafting something bigger. Whether it’s refining mechanics, designing systems, or implementing key features, I’m eager to learn the entire lifecycle of game development while growing alongside like-minded developers who share a passion for gaming.

If you’d like to see examples of my work to show my familiarity with game development basics, feel free to ask! While I haven’t uploaded much yet, I’d be happy to share prototypes or work-in-progress projects.

If you’re part of a project looking for an enthusiastic and driven team player or know of opportunities, I’d love to connect!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Edit:

  • Here is a screenshot of a CharacterBody2D controller that I worked on a couple of months ago. I was going for a component and state based approach.
  • Here is a screenshot of a procedurally generated map. Rocks and trees have collision. The water doesn't do anything yet. I was mainly going for the PGC. It uses TileMapLayer nodes. The sprites are from here. Thank you Shade and Octoshrimpy!
  • Here is me messing around with some shaders. A lot to learn there too.
  • Here is some testing with mesh generation... but honestly I still need to learn a lot here.

There have been more projects in the past, but unfortunately I kept deleting my work instead of saving it for reference later on.
