[Hobby] I make songs that would work well with indie games. Not looking to take on a ton of responsibilities, but I'd be willing to work on a project that interests me. Link in post.

Most recent track is here

pretty much all of my other work can be found on Instagram @dolladrums

lately I've been making most of my music with nitrotracker on the DS. I'm a huge indie game fan, and a lot of my recent stuff is inspired by like, LISA, everhood, OFF, and other stuff in a similar vein. I make stuff in Ableton too but the limitations of the DS have been really fun to work with and have led to a particular sound I really like playing with.

I'm in school right now so I can't commit a huge amount of time to being super involved but honestly if the project inspires me then school is for nerds. mainly just would love to see this stuff used in some capacity and would also love to contribute to an interesting game.

not expecting payment or anything unless I become significantly more involved, but 1 or 2 songs for battle themes or whatever would be free fo sho, just wanna be credited. just to state the obvious I can also edit these tracks to loop, touch em up with effects, etc.

ty love u

Java Station Project: Seeking Collaborators

Hi everyone!

I'm excited to introduce an idea of a cool game that brings together programmers, artists, and ordinary players.

  1. My background
  2. Game concept
  3. Smart unit limit
  4. Script-driven units
  5. Player-created blocks
  6. Pixel art
  7. My rehab
  8. Blame

  1. My background

I am a 44-year-old experienced Java developer. I have independently developed four indie games using my own Java game engine. These include a top-down shooter with an automatic game parameter tuning system (https://sourceforge.net/projects/battery/) and a PvP tower defense game, which I believe is the only good PvP tower defense game (in development but playable). Additionally, I have created several small, fast 3D engines and a smart, self-learning poker AI.

  1. Game concept

Java Station features a smart unit limit system and allows units to be controlled by AI scripts, either written by the player or obtained from other players. Players can also manually control units in the traditional RTS manner. The game employs a top-down view similar to Mindustry.

Players are encouraged to build resource refining systems and fortifications, upgrade and construct units, and research new technologies. The game welcomes contributions from artists, procedural graphics creators, and unit script writers. In addition to the inherent benefits, players can trade their technologies and participate in contests with rewards.

  1. Smart unit limit

Each next unit's supply cost is twice that of the current one. The cost to upgrade a unit is calculated similarly.

  1. Script-driven units

The game and its engine libraries are excellent for learning to code. I have an idea to write a programming tutorial using the game's classes, including the default AI scripts.

  1. Player-created blocks including with procedural graphics and animation

  2. Pixel art

Large pixels and limited color palettes, similar to Minecraft but in 2D. Not a final decision. If we find a skilled designer who excels in a more traditional 2D style...

  1. My rehab

I am currently undergoing rehabilitation in the hospital. I will be discharged in two months. My offer is cool. dartpavel64@gmail.com

  1. Blame

I blame the thieves of my ideas with some blames. Hey hey

[Paid] Looking for Unity VFX

Hi! I'm MercernaryMage. I'm a 10 year AAA veteran, and make games in my spare time. I do all the programming and game design, and then contract art work. I'm looking to hire someone to make combat VFX for my game. The game is a turned based strategy card game combined with a visual novel. It's got a Steampage where you can see it in action as well as a demo.

To get the elephant in the room taken care of first, this game is NSFW in nature. This is first and foremost a strategy card game, but the story will have NSFW moments. Think like The Witcher or Cyberpunk. The NSFW content will not be the main focus of the story, and your work will not interact with that aspect of the game.

The game is made in Unity. I'm looking for pretty basic effects that match the art style of the game. The desired result will be unity packages (or just zips) that I can import into my game to plug into the gameplay. I will do whatever needs to be done to help you develop the effects, such as sharing the art assets/materials, etc.

Here is the game and demo so you can see the style.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2614280/Fallen_Down/

The effects should be simple and not cinamatic. The effects will run for about .25 seconds. I am looking for effects to show fire attacks, lightning attacks, healing effects, etc. In total I am expecting 15ish effects.

I'm looking to pay $20/hr. Thanks!

[RevShare open to negotiation] Needing a team to bring a visual novel to life.

Good afternoon, I am presently planning out a Renpy VN, but the biggest factor holding me back is that I have absolutely no idea how to approach the visuals for such a project whatsoever. I can do coding, writing, hell I can even create music, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do even low-quality 3d rendering. As such I require assisstance in creating the visuals that will allow me to actually create the game, especially if I want higher-quality visuals.

This project is going to be a choice-driven game that has a fairly dark approach. It will follow a main cast through at first university/college before entering the corporate world. There will be love, trauma, murder, whitecollar crime, betrayal, and more. I hope to craft an emotional story, though have grown frustrated with my inability to craft visuals. This frustration has evolved into me reaching out to consider the possibility of outsourcing the cisual creation for the story.

However, I have no doubt that to contract the visuals for an entire novel would be rather expensive. I am not creating this project with the intention of profiting myself as this is, to me, a passion which I want to see brought into the world. As such, I am open to providing the entire share of the revenue to any team members who join me. I am in the early stages of planning but I figured it would be better to look for talented individuals to collaborate now rather than later.

Please note as well that while I am looking for help with visuals I am open to suggestions and contributions to the story of this visual novel as well. I will view anyone who joins this project as an equal and am eager to work towards producing a releasable story.

If anyone is interested, please DM me and I will provide access to my planning so far and will provide any additional details you may require.

[RevShare and long-term partner] Artist needed for VN and story-heavy JRPG (we are worth your time, I promise)

We are a two-person team from Northern Europe (Germany and Denmark) looking for an artist to partner with us! We want to release a visual novel soon (more than 70% completed with a playable demo, see link) and create a JRPG sequel (passion project with 5 years worth of love going into the project) set in the same world after that. The world we are working on is set in a dystopian Solarpunk future. The visual novel is a coming-of-age drama full of interesting choices, while the JRPG is a humorous dramedy, offering a balanced blend of thought-provoking themes and laughter.

Play the demo for our VN here ( to play it, use Password 1234 since it’s an alpha version and therefore delisted right now): https://gurusam.itch.io/rottenroots

1. The VN project offers:

Rottenroots is a coming-of-age visual novel where every decision you make has an impact. A teen must try to get love and life under one hat in a mysterious sci-fi world where a wrong move could be your last. Will you help him make the right choices?

Features include

-6+ endings with very different outcomes

-Packed full of decisions that make a difference

-Around 20.000 words long and can be finished in 1,5-2 hours (in the final version)

-A mysterious sci-fi world to get lost in

-Three-dimensional characters full of flaws, dreams, and desires

-Forbidden love, extraordinary adventures, the whirlwind of teenage emotions... and night swimming?

-Join a game that will be released soon and a dedicated team!

- Needs: 11 Backgrounds, 7 characters (3 with additional outfits and 5 expressions each), and UI.

2. The JRPG project offers:

-A sequel to the VN, set 20 years later.

-A balanced blend of comedy and mature drama, bringing depth to characters and narrative.

-Innovative dialog fighting system based on psychological research.

-Meaningful choices lead to distinct endings, empowering players' agency.

-The fresh world is set with Solarpunk aesthetics and a colorful ocean to explore.

-Educational aspect, shedding light on the horrors of WW2 and the dangers of fascist movements.

-A detailed and long GDD full of visual explanations.

Needs: Character designs, enemy designs, tile sets, facial expressions, and more are needed

We are seeking a (pixel) artist to join us two! The revenue generated from the game's launch will be shared equally (we are considering releasing the VN for free in a basic version). We work with the GameMaker, but you don't have to know that engine. Our (pixel) artists will have ample creative freedom within the project, enabling them to infuse their artistic vision. Let's create great game visuals that will get the players' attention! We would also consider other art styles if they fit the world.

We are a dedicated team that has already put in a lot of work. We have social media profiles for these projects ready to go with hunderts of followers, just waiting for more concrete content. We also have a structured approach to project management with a detailed Notion board that lists and categorizes every aspect of these games. We would love to work with someone reliable who is 18 or over and ideally has a portfolio.

So please give us a swing, and let's build a game we'll all be proud of!

[HOBBY] [TEAM NEEDED] Need team of 3-4 to help me make some passion projects

Hey, I'm ZomboMau and I'm an amateur game dev/digital artist in need of a team.

Basics: Currently, I'm working in UE5 and am interested in creating horror games and narrative-based games. I'm pretty good at making character models and building environments, but I'm not that good at writing, coding, sculpting creature models. So, hopefully, I'd like to get a team together to help me make games as a hobby, at least until I'm better at making games.

Skills: The programs I use are...

  • Blender: I use Blender to create all of the things I can't find in marketplaces. If I want a remote control but can't find one in the ArtStation/Epic marketplace that fits with what I wanted, I'll make it myself. Same goes for any other type of prop/thing I'd need to make a game.
  • CC4: I use Character Creator 4 to make all of my character models. Be they the protagonist or antagonist, they will be made with CC4.
  • ZBrush: I use ZBrush for sculpting the faces of my models and making the normal maps for the model's faces. Also sometimes use it to alter to model's body shapes so they fit their clothing a specific way.

I have around 5 years of experience in digital art but am still willing to improve myself and get better.

What I'll Do: I'll provide character models, environments, and props for the games.

What You'll Do:

  • Writer: [TAKEN]
  • Coder: Help me with coding the monster's AIs and coding in events to the game (moving from one level to the next, monster introductions, collectibles, etc)
  • Creature Modeller: Help me with creating non-humanoid monsters for the game. I'm perfectly fine with creating all the humanoid models myself, but when it comes to things that aren't humanoid I struggle with making a good model.
  • Environment Designer: (Optional) Help me with creating the environments for the games. I am capable of doing this myself for the most part, but I still need help with the small things like detailing an environment with props to tell a story.

Sorry if this is unusual/odd. I just want to make games.

If you're interested, DM me :]

EDIT: Here's my portfolio. Not all of my work, just the stuff throughout the years I decided to render.

[FOR HIRE][PAID] Game programmer with over ten years of experience

About myself:

I'm a remote, freelance, programmer who's returning to (preferably 2D) game programming after a hiatus (and as such my rates would most-definitely be described as "indie-friendly"..!); whilst I'm located in England, I've programmed projects for clients located in a number of other countries; and I have no problem working on "NSFW" projects.

My previous experience:

I've over ten years experience of programming games; the projects that I've worked on include (but are most-definitely not limited to):

  • The Doors of Trithius (Steam), a Rogue-like -- I programmed (in Java) additional- and revamped existing- procedurally-generated rooms and dungeons, programmed additional quests, and fixed bugs.

  • Topsy Turvy (iOS; YouTube), a puzzle-platformer -- I was the sole programmer on the project, and programmed (in C++) the game from scratch.

  • shivering kittens (Mac OS X; YouTube), a "block-matching" puzzle game -- I was the sole programmer on the project, and programmed (in C++) the game from scratch.

My skills and how I program projects:

The following are the languages I typically use when programming projects:

  • C
  • C++
  • Java
  • Lua
  • Pascal
  • and Python

-- and the following are the APIs I typically use when programming projects:

I enjoy writing efficient programs, so I've typically written custom engines for the projects that I've worked on.

If you think that I may be the right programmer for your project, or if you'd like to discuss your project with me, please feel free to send me a message through Discord ( grasping_at_a_flame#2065 ), email ( grasping_at_a_flame@sealfin.com ), or reddit.

Ps. A relevant interest:

I've an interest in competitive programming, and -- amongst other achievements -- I've solved over fifty of the problems posed by Project Euler (including solving one of those problems on a platform with a 4 MHz 8 bit processor and 32 KB of RAM -- no, there are no typos in that sentence..!), and over one hundred of the problems posed by CodeAbbey; I think that my most-notable achievement in competitive programming is my participation in the Advent Programming Contest 2013 organised (with support from Alpen-Adria-Universitat Klagenfurt) by IEEE Student Branch Klagenfurt, in which I achieved a rank of 10^th (out of 155) for programming (in Java) solutions to eighteen (out of twenty-four) of the problems posed by that contest.

[Hobby] Looking for people for hobby/portfolio project

Hi all, I'm working on a project that I've wanted to make for a while, the scope is very small, ideally 1 (semi) polished level, 1 basic boss. In as few words as possible it is meant to be Vampire Survivor style game with game play based on (stolen from) Invoker in Dota 2 (For reference if you've never played: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCcsA4P3dUM ). The main idea is that you cast spells that you queue using 3 Sigils (Q,W,E), and based on how many of each sigil is active different spells are queue'd up, the player can only queue 2 spells at any time though. An example is E, E, W would be the combination for a meteor, E, W, E and W, E, E would also give the same result. I've already built a very rough prototype on top of an RPG tutorial from GameDevTV but am willing to start from scratch if the end result is better. I have work experience as a software developer in C# so I am comfortable with coding and have a lot of interest in game design but am looking for people to learn from and with.

Mostly looking for programmer(s) with any amount of experience more than me (a few endless runner games) but if anyone feels like they can or want to contribute feel free to reach out. Again, this project is meant to be as small as possible in scope and very casual. I usually check reddit once a day if I can.

If I can include more information that would help capture your interest or be helpful in anyway, please feel free to let me know. I am based in EST but only really care if you can speak enough English to collaborate.

Repost, forgot title.

Edit: Project is in Unity 3D

Thanks for reading my post. If you know anyone who might be looking for a 3D artist, please let me know.

P.S. If anyone sent me any message requests on Reddit, could you please DM me again? I think there was some kind of glitch with Reddit chat. I accepted a bunch of requests without looking at the names expecting them all to show up in my inbox but none of them stayed except for one.

Creating websites free of charge

Hi there, I'm a freelance web designer and I just started with the "freelancing" part, so I'm offering a free website design service to anyone who needs a website for their sales pages, blogs, stores, etc. I usually work with entrepreneurs and other freelancers mostly for their marketing websites (affiliates, drop shippers, ecom), but I accept every DM and every idea!

Now to clarify why I do it for free; as I stated above I am quite new to entrepreneurship and I need to start somewhere, so to get new business opportunities I need references and I need to show my past work experiences. So that being said, it's a win-win situation.

So if you're an entrepreneur, a freelancer or anything related to that, and you need some kind of website to help your business, or your business plan, I'm here for you!

If you're interested feel free to comment or DM so we can have a chat.

P.S. Since my portfolio isn't done, I can show my work privately as well.

Ambitious real time strategy game looking for programmers & marketeers

I'm looking for unity programmers for an RTS inspired by Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, Supreme Commander and other games from the golden age of RTS games. Are you looking for a project with a clear goal in mind? Then this might be for you!

Right now we have tanks, helicopters, 6 playable maps, basic multiplayer and a whole bunch of other stuff.

Alpha gameplay here

This game will take place in the near future and will feature slightly scifi units but with a very military feel to them. We are currently working on a demo for publishers and we are at about 85% of the way there. We already have a great audio SFX guy and some good programmers.

What are we looking for?

  • Programmers (at minimum 5 hours per week. Direct correlation between time spent & quality)
  • 3D artists (show portfolio)
  • 2D artists (concept art, GUI art)
  • Map creators (who can actually create the map in unity or are willing to learn)
  • General game developers (basically any role that knows a bit about development in unity but can spend a lot of time creating or improving levels, visuals, explosions, particle effects, animations or anything else that increases the projects quality even more
  • People who love to make social media posts
  • People who love to do marketing

What are you getting?
Once funding comes in (roughly 2 months after the demo is completed, but no guarantee of course) you will get the choice of either a percentage of the profit or being paid an hourly amount of money, or a combination of both. Whatever you prefer at that point.

This game is also guaranteed to finish and the odds of getting a decent publisher are also higher than average. This is based both on past experience and the current agency that already does this professionally. I know the word 'guaranteed' is going to trigger some people, so let me rephrase that to 'unless I die or fall seriously ill this project will get done'.

About me
I myself have 15 years of experience in the IT industry of which 4 years very intensively. My experience (and tasks) include programming, marketing, art, team/project management, business management, HR related stuff and game design. For this project however I will be doing none of the programming since that won't leave enough time for all the other tasks. Some of which could easily be fulltime jobs in their own rights as industry veterans can vouch for.

I've talked to 100+ publishers and about 300 programmers in those 4 years. I've declined most publishing deals and have signed some others. The goal right now is to get a demo ready for a good publisher and we do have one that's a really good fit currently lined up. We just need to wrap up the demo for that and depending on everyone's input that could take anywhere from 1 to 4 months really.

Future prospects
If working together is pleasant and productive then I also intend to actually hire you for future projects should you be interested. My own personal goal is to have a healthy company of gamedevs who are as enthusiastic as me to work together with within the next 3 years.

Interested in completing a decent quality game?

Send me a DM with your portfolio / experience and why you want to join and let's talk! If you're applying as a programmer and don't have a portfolio just tell me a bit about what networking experience you have and if there are any projects you've completed so far ^^

[Paid] Gaming Programmer Needed for card game

I am seeking a skilled and passionate 2D or 3D game programmer to collaborate with me on developing a prototype for a roguelike card game that features unique gameplay hooks. While I am open to working with various game engines, I have a preference for those that support C#, as I have a basic understanding of the language and can read it well enough to communicate effectively with the programmer.

The GDD and major mechanics have been thoroughly outlined, providing a solid foundation for the project. Additionally, I have created wireframe models of some key screens to help convey the visual concepts and user experience. These materials will be sent to any interested parties to ensure a clear understanding of the project scope and vision.

I don't think this will change the world, but I am excited about its potential and would love to explore how far we can take it. The first step in this journey is establishing a development environment.I have a good grasp of programming concepts, which allows me to develop a comprehensive product specification document that highlights the most critical information for the programming aspect of the project. This collaboration would be a part-time endeavor. However, I am prepared to offer compensation for your work, and while it is not a lot, I am open to discussing a revenue share arrangement to supplement the payment.

If you find this opportunity intriguing and would like to explore it further, please don't hesitate to reach out to me by DM on Reddit. When you do, please include any portfolio pieces. Additionally, please provide an estimate of the time you would be willing to dedicate to this project on a weekly or monthly basis, along with your desired compensation for that time. I am eager to discuss the specifics with interested parties and look forward to the possibility of working together to bring this roguelike card game to life.

[UNPAID] 2D Pixel Artist Needed

Hello everyone!

I am working on a top-down shooter / rogue like inspired by the book of revelation from the bible. I want to include art from all the biblically accurate angels. Themes from the coming of the end, as well as fun and engaging gameplay mechanics for players to fight for their life at the end of times!

I have worked on a few smaller solo projects before (my itch page at the bottom of this post) and I am wanting to expand my scope. As my ambitions increase and my scope follows it, I know that the production quality I want with the art is out of my current skill set. I really want this game to have that WOW factor when the players see the amazing (or horrific) things that are described in the book of revelations. In terms of art style I am willing to compromise for sure, but as of now, what I have in mind is the style of Blasphemous 1 and 2.

Here are some examples of one of the things I would like to see turned into pixel art.

https://imgur.com/a/L1StqXG
https://imgur.com/a/Rjg7ylh

That being said I would love a chance to work with someone or perhaps a team of people who either just love the project idea or are looking to hone their skills. I want to work closely with this person to build all the assets from the ground up. Tilesets, Player, NPCS, enemies, animations, main menu, logo, etc. If anyone think this sounds like a fun project please reply here, DM me, or message me on discord at "iitzphantom".

[HOBBY] Music composer / Sound designer

Hello! I'm a music composer, I have mainly composed music for short films but never for games so I hope I can find an indie game to make music for and gain experience along the way.
I will do this for free since my current goal is to build my portfolio.

What I can do: compose and produce music/sound design and Foley.

(Here is some of my music)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8s5kZckVAK49WyC2J9gTZA

I can make any style but I mainly make ambient/sentimental music so if your game falls into this category
don't hesitate to DM me.

I have no idea how sound implementation works (if it is something I can learn I'm willing to try)

Side note: I do have experience with scriptwriting since I did study filmmaking and wrote scripts before. I would gladly help when it comes to giving ideas and feedback if needed. The more I’m invested in the story/idea the more I’m inspired to make music that will translate the desired sentiment.

[Hobby] Looking to expand our team and bring our project to the next stage of development

Hi! I’m working on a project with a few buddies of mine that’s more or less your typical fantasy tabletop game.

We’re past the idea stage of the project, and have the base system we want the game to be written down, and a good buddy of mine has begun posting some concept doodles over on his Twitter.

We’re looking to expand our team with people from pretty much all fields interested in developing a tabletop game as we get ready to launch a Kickstarter campaign.

For Programmers & 3D Modelers Interested in the Project:

We’re looking for people who can make some test footage of an app/website we can use in the Kickstarter campaign - particularly, we want to show off these aspects:

-A 3D Character/Miniature creator adapting the style of our team’s artist, going for a more Anime/Dragon Quest inspired aesthetic, and using some of the character options that will be available in the game

-A customizable battle map you can display your miniatures and tokens on as the Gamemaster runs the encounter, showing off some the actions you can take in combat

For Writers and Game Devs Interested in the Project:

As I said above, we have an outline with all the rules, character options, and features we want to include in a document that’s about 69 pages(give or take) but it’s more of a skeleton as it currently stands, and we’d like to bring more people in to get feedback and expand on some of the base ideas we have.

In particular, we need:

-Writers with a grasp on history & religion to expand on the cultures and pantheons we have and help write lore and history for them

-Tabletop/RPG game devs to give feedback, and give their thoughts on what they like, what they don’t like, and possibly help in some areas that could use more work

For Artist & Animators Interested in the Project:

Our team Artist is going to be working on an animation to use for our Kickstarter Campaign while also making concept art for the game itself. We’re looking for people who can replicate his style, and either do more line work, shade or ‘digitally ink’ his pieces for a more classic RPG manual aesthetic in the concepts, storyboard, or do a sequence of animation for the trailer.

He’s a bit of a newbie when it comes to animation, so even just giving your input on pointers or tips and tricks you like to use would also be very helpful.

For Sound Designers and Voice Actors Interested in the Project:

We’re looking for people who can make some music along with the planned animation, make some sound effects for any potential programmers that join our team to use in the test footage, and VO’s to lend their voices for characters in the project’s animation.

If you want more details or have any questions, feel free to comment below or shoot me a DM. I’ll answer to the best of my ability when I receive your message.

[Paid] 3D artist/level designer wanted for an anime-themed stylized school environment in Unreal 5

Hello!

I need someone to take care of the environment for a fully accessible school building (a mix of modern/fantasy). This means creating any needed props and doing the level design for a school ground in Unreal Engine 5.

This is going to be some long-term work for a hobby project of mine, so there are no hard deadlines.

Requirements:

Some experience with modeling and level design in UE5.

Point me to any relevant works that showcase any sort of hand-painted and stylized interior design.

Shoot me a DM if you're interested.

(Some irrelevant text to have more words)

I'm embarking on an exciting long-term hobby project centered around the creation of a fully accessible school building within Unreal Engine 5. This project is a fusion of modern and fantasy elements, offering a unique and immersive environment for exploration and interaction. As I delve into this endeavor, I'm seeking a talented individual to collaborate with me in bringing this vision to life. The primary focus of this collaboration will be on crafting the environment of the school building, ensuring every detail contributes to its realism and allure. From meticulously designing classrooms and corridors to embellishing common areas and outdoor spaces, we aim to create an open-world experience that captivates and inspires. To qualify for this role, I'm seeking someone with a background in modeling and level design, capable of seamlessly integrating various elements to construct a cohesive and visually stunning environment. While previous experience in Unreal Engine 5 is desirable, a strong foundation in digital artistry and a willingness to learn are equally valuable. In addition to technical proficiency, I'm particularly interested in individuals who possess a flair for hand-painted, stylized interior design. The ability to infuse personality and charm into every corner of the school building is crucial for immersing players in its rich narrative and atmosphere. As this project is a labor of love with no rigid deadlines, it offers a flexible and collaborative environment for creative exploration and experimentation. Whether you're a seasoned professional looking for a passion project or an aspiring artist eager to refine your skills, I welcome you to reach out and join me on this exhilarating journey. If you're intrigued by the prospect of shaping the environment of a modern yet fantastical school building and believe you have the skills and passion to contribute, I encourage you to send me a direct message. I look forward to discussing this project further and exploring the possibilities together.

[Hobby] Looking for people to help me make my dream game. (Luigi's Mansion style game with cats)

Hi!!! My name is Matthew Lambe. I'm a 3d artist who has worked on countless projects in game development (mostly small game jam team) My main specialty is 3d modelling and level design, but I really struggle with the coding aspect of game development. Currently I am still in school (last year) and I do game development as a hobby. If you would like to help with development of this dream game of mine, please comment and I will try to reply. I am looking for everyone; coders, modelers, music... etc.

Currently I have a small group of friends who have been helping me, but we are still struggling to push ahead. Our team currently consists of: Me (3d artist), Robozombii (A very talented artist and friend), and my other two friends(moral support), and a music artist(another friend).

At the moment the game is in the very early stages of development and is still missing very basic gameplay elements. as for funds and payment, obviously, as a solo dev, I have none. However, when the game is released, I am happy to share earnings as I am really only doing this as a passion and care very little about the monetary gain. As I said, I am looking for anyone and everyone, no matter their skill, experience, age or gender. So please respond if you are interested, and don't feel scared to contact me.

All the best, Matthew...

if you would wish to contact me privately please feel free to DM me. :3

[Hobby][RevShare] Looking for a 2D Artist to work on a cool portfolio of projects with!

Edit: Have already found an artist!

Hello fellow game creatives!

Myself who has been programming and making games for well over a decade and an audio designer/music composer friend of mine who also has many years of experience under his belt creating amazing music and sounds for games; are looking to build up a portfolio of cool and interesting short games inspired by SOKPOP's model!

We're looking for a 2D Artist to join our team and help us to create some amazing games together!!

Even teaming up and working on some cool game jams together could be a lot of fun and we'd be down for that! If we work well together and can complete a few game, perhaps we can form a small studio of our own and see where things go from there.

We would love if someone could join us long term in making a collection of interesting and fun short games!
We think that shorter games can create some of the most fun, innovative and replayable experiences out there and the thought of working together to create such games as a team is honestly SO SO exciting!!!

For those interested in how the monetization would work; We would sell these games via Steam and Itch. Games will be sold both individually and as larger bundles. After any expenses, the remainder, aka profit, will be split among the team!

So if you are someone who can create cool 2D art and are just as excited with making cool stuff as we are hit us up!!!
If you're interested in working together feel free to contact me via my discord frozenacorn or drop me a private message here on reddit!

THANKS FOR READING!

[RevShare] Want to join an indie studio?

Hey reddit. I'm new to this sub so let me introduce my self. I'm Pete, I'm a software developer and have been for around a decade. In recent years however, I started getting more and more disillusioned with the way corporate dev shops are run, so I quit. I've spent quite a good amount of time dabbling in game development with Unity, so when I thought about a career change that seemed like the perfect fit.

I have a game concept. It's in the Roguelite genre with influences from some other games, but I've never seen anything quite like what I'm imagining, so I think it has a good chance of being popular. It's still in the design phase, but I've got a pretty detailed design document going and I'm want to start working on a PoC.

The problem is I can't make a game by myself (shocker I know). Oh I can make a Galaga clone with 2D sprites and a basic GUI, but I'm useless when it comes to art, animation, other visual effects...don't even get me started on Maya; I spent 10 minutes on that thing and said "noooooope" (direct quote). Also, though I do know my way around, I'm no pro with Unity. What I'm really good at is game logic, design, and balancing; I would love nothing more than to spend the next 6 months coding game logic, then the next 6 play testing, bug fixing, and balancing. So I need some help.

If you have experience working with Unity and 3D art & animation (doesn't have to be professional), and want to get in on the ground floor of something new and exciting...drop me a DM. I will be taking on the financial risk, but I'm willing to negotiate a percentage of the profits based on your contribution, and (if things go well) a partnership in the hottest new indie studio!

TLDR; Me -> Pete; quit corporate america; starting an indie studio with original game idea; need help making it look all cool and pretty and shit; DM me!

Here's a DropBox link with some of the projects I've done over the years. You may recognize some of them...I mainly worked on making video game versions of my favorite card games. Yes I did scan all of those cards...did I mention I suck at art?

Avatar generator [Hobby/Paid]

Hello,

I'm a teacher who uses games and gamification and many times I do projects related to different moments In history.

I’ve also posted before looking for people to create small games for education.

It is something common that I use avatars in many of this projects, as this is something students like.

Fot that reason I started working on a project that resulted in this
http://gamificavatar.com/

I did a crowdfunding (which was not successful) and got some of the designs for these 3 eras (Prehistoric, Ancient Rome and Medieval).
http://gamificavatar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/gamificavatar_splash01-768x307.jpg
As we did not get enough money, I ended up putting the rest of the money myself to reach the first tear. But I did not get enough for a programmer to combine these designs with the code of https://getavataaars.com/ which is shared on https://github.com/fangpenlin/avataaars-generator.

It is free to use according to the License:

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions:

As I have not programming skills I did a not so good version with Genially.
For Prehistoric and for the medieval ages.

I'm looking for a programmer to finish the job (for free if possible, but I'm open to see some budgets) and if there is a graphics designer who wants to complete the collection that would be awesome too.
