Hey everyone! I’m looking for people who are familiar with Grepolis to join me in creating a web-based strategy game inspired by the classic. The goal is to capture the experience of building cities, forming alliances, and engaging in strategic battles, all set in an ancient world where players can compete or collaborate for dominance. This game is intended to honor the spirit of Grepolis while introducing our own fresh take and unique ideas to make it feel modern yet nostalgic.
A bit about me: I have some experience in backend web development and am currently an undergraduate computer science student. Given my busy schedule, this is strictly a passion project—not a full-time job. I’m hoping to connect with others who share the same outlook and are looking to work on a collaborative, enjoyable project in their free time. Whether you’re a fan of Grepolis or just want to be part of a fun and challenging project, I’d love to have you on board!
When it comes to the tech stack, I’m open-ended and flexible. I have a foundation in backend development, but I’m very willing to learn new tools and take suggestions. If you have ideas for what stack or frameworks might suit the project best, I’m all ears. This could be an opportunity for us all to experiment and find the best fit for our game.
If you’re interested in reviving the spirit of a game that has sadly declined over the years, please drop a comment or DM me. Let’s work together to bring this concept back to life!
Hello everyone!
Me and my team member are looking for indie devs who want to collaborate on a stylized 3D project together in Unreal Engine on a rev-share basis.
We are both incredibly passionate about game dev. We are not fixated on portfolios or education. We are mostly interested in others who feel the same and want to see a project through until the end.
I’m a programmer and music composer with two diplomas: computer science and sound engineering.
My skills (in order of proficiency) include:
- Technical art via material editor in unreal engine as well as HLSL coding language
- 3D modelling in Blender
- Music Composition
- Computer programming languages (C#, C++, Java, etc)
- Texture painting and designing in Adobe Substance
- UI/UX design in Unreal Engine
My teammate is a talented music composer and foley artist who is handling the audio implementation for the game using the Wwise plugin for unreal.
The scope of the project is small/medium: a roguelike with PvP elements. The story of the game is still up for discussion, but we would like it to take place in a fantasy/magical world. As far as inspiration we are leaning towards games like Risk of Rain 2, Zelda, Genshin Impact, etc.
We are still in the early stages of the project. I have been working to establish a concrete art style, as well as lay the groundwork for networking and multiplayer replication. The game currently supports steam integration and I am now looking towards implementing the unreal Gameplay Ability System.
Ideally we are looking for someone who can take some of the load off of me, so if you have skills in 3D art (especially animation) or programming (especially networking/Unreal GAS) then you would be perfect fit!
If you are interested please reach out and we can share some images of the art we have so far.

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for one or more people in a similar situation as myself to collaborate on game development projects in the afternoons. Ideally, you'd be in GMT 0, +1, or +2 time zones so we can coordinate effectively. I’ve completed several CS50 courses, covering topics like Python, cybersecurity, and CS50x, so I have a basic foundation in programming concepts and languages. Recently, however, I’ve decided to shift my focus specifically to game development. I want to deepen my skills in this area, and I believe the best way to learn is by working on hands-on projects, experimenting with ideas, and building games from scratch. I think that collaborating with others would not only make the process more enjoyable but also help keep me motivated, leading to a better learning experience overall.
My goal isn't necessarily to produce a polished game right away. Rather, I'd like to work on a variety of projects, experiment with different types of gameplay, mechanics, and designs, and expand my understanding of game development as a whole. I believe that this approach will help me grow as a programmer and develop a broader set of skills, particularly within the field of game creation. Currently, I’m interested in using the Godot engine as our primary tool, as I find it accessible and versatile for beginners and intermediate developers alike.
If you happen to be more experienced and are open to offering guidance, “babysitting,” or explaining key concepts as we go along, that would be incredibly helpful. I'm eager to learn and would welcome any insights that could help me improve more quickly.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post, and I look forward to potentially teaming up with some of you on this exciting journey!
I'm a long-time game programming hobbyist looking for an artist. Most of my work has just been passion projects that I run out of enthusiasm for because I'm a pretty team-oriented guy. I need people to bounce ideas off of, brainstorm, and just generally geek out with. I have a lot of ideas and have gotten really far on a lot of games that I'm pretty proud of, but never finished them due to being so disappointed with how they look.
Art is NOT my strong suit, at all, and I'm a huge fan of artistically cohesive games. Detail/realism/quality can all be thrown out if the style is consistent and intentional. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who UNDERSTAND cohesion, color palettes, shading, blocking, balance, etc, in THEORY, but can't apply it in practice to save their lives.
I've tried commissioning game art on Fiverr, but it's too expensive to do for a full project and I don't have the disposable income for it anymore, anyway. I'm currently working on an FPS using Quaternius' free models, but they only barely achieve what I need just for basic development.
If you're an artist that can't/doesn't like to code and you're looking for someone to make games with, get in touch! Honestly, I just like the challenge of game programming, and I'm happy to help work on YOUR project in return, if it's something you're passionate about and need a teammate. If we can take a game all the way to market even in a small way, I'll be thrilled.
Skills I have:
Gamemaker Studio (highly competent)
Unity (competent)(not a fan)
Godot (competent)(huge fan)
Unreal Engine (haven't used, willing to learn)
Blender (technically competent, artistically limited)
Inkscape (technically competent, artistically limited)
Skills You Have (preferably)
3D Modeling (preferred)
Pixel Art (love the aesthetic, will totally work with it)
Any (honestly open to pretty much anything)
Hi everyone!!
We’re working on our first game, a turn-based fantasy rpg with a cute aesthetic, that can also get pretty dark at times. I’m a musician and writer and designer, I’ve been working on the lore and music for ages. Also on the team is an artist who does pixel and digital art. (I’ve also been commissioning much of the character art from another artist)
It’s heavily story-based, as you travel across the continent and go to towns and dungeons. No crafting, resource gathering or quest boards. (There are plenty of secrets sprinkled around the maps.) We’re trying to keep it simple and keep the story moving. (No chance of feature creep!!) We’re aiming for maybe a 10-hour playthrough.
Our short term goal is to get a vertical slice for a demo. The first 60-90 minutes, including the first few towns and dungeons. We have almost all the base pieces in place: maps, design, bosses, characters, many of the cutscenes, etc. Now we’re at the point where we can start going through everything, improving and polishing. So you definitely won’t be joining a team that’s starting from scratch!! If we can get enough support from a demo, it’d be great to launch a Kickstarter.
We’re looking for another pixel artist to join us, and help build up a fun fantasy world that people will want to explore. We have a lot of the base work in place, but we’re always open to suggestions and new ideas!! Once we’re a little further along, we want to go through each interior, and make it so every room tells a little story.
I’m including a link to a Google drive video that will show much of the game that we have in place for our demo. Please keep in mind, that this is still super early!!! Many things, such as sound fx, spell fx, lighting, stats, characters, have a lot of work to be done. Also, all of the environment work here is from assets, and will be re-done. Much of it will be totally re-done, while some of it might be modified and made to fit our color palette. (Open to your ideas and suggestions!)
We’re making it in rpg maker mz. I’m open to the idea of switching engines if we bring any programmers on board, but I’m liking rpg maker more than I expected. The game’s been really fun and satisfying to work on.
If you think you might be a good fit, and want to join us, drop a link to some of your work, or send me a dm! (Can also catch me on discord: @johnrawlings123) Hope to hear from you!!

For 2 years+ now I’ve worked on a multiplayer fantasy card game with light RPG elements called Backstab.

https://i.postimg.cc/TPKzMDh9/CARD-LAND-examples.jpg
https://i.postimg.cc/D0NGNHN5/CARD031-for-share.jpg
https://i.postimg.cc/zvYZkGzk/CARD-origins-example.jpg
The initial game + expansion is about 200 cards, out of which about 80 are currently fully playable with are and working rules. The game works with that amount of cards, but feels more fun and varied the more cards you add - something I'm doing intermittently. I have physically printed this first set and found that the game would be well suited for a digital environment. I hope to chat with someone who could help me code a working multiplayer demo that I can invite people to.
The purpose would be to concept the whole idea (to answer if this is a better angle than going physical) and to play test (easier than distributing cards and allows for instant triggers of rules and such for more consistency).
I'm imagining something light on art requirements and no complicated animations, but it needs to be able to trigger effects automatically when they're activated and keep a priority in mind for that, and it needs to be able to handle multiple players taking turns.
In this game, some cards are able to be used at any time by any player. Simply handling this on a reactionary basis should be enough (whomever uses their card first goes first, blocking the other action [no overlapping actions allowed]). I'm not a coder, but I'm assuming this would be the biggest challenge, so I wanted to highlight mechanic here.
As for the project responsibilities - you would handle the coding, since I can't code at all. I would need help on picking the right coding language / platform. I will handle everything else - art, copy, rules, interaction mechanic descriptions, menu / UI structure, legal, game lore. Etc.
This is my first post here so if something’s missing please let me know in the comments! What type of projects are programmers here interested in?
Happy to share more about the project if you reach out!

Hello,
My name is Mario and I'm a music composer & sound designer looking for new projects.
Over the last 7 years I've worked on 60+ video games creating music and sound effects as well. I'm very versatile in terms of genres of music so I can adapt to different kinds of projects, but I'd say that I'm most experienced on electronic (modern, synthwave & chiptunes), rock/metal & orchestral-hybrid music. I also love to experiment! I have a lot of fun combining different styles and instruments in order to create a unique and specific soundscape for every game.
You can find me here, on my email: mariosello1@gmail.com or Discord: mariosello1. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions please and I'll gladly get back to you shortly.
Thanks for reading,
Mario
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a partner who’s passionate, ambitious, has some experience, and is ready to team up.
I’m not too worried about having a flawless portfolio; as long as it’s solid, what matters most to me is finding someone with the same level of commitment. That’s what I truly value; learning can happen along the way.
I’ve been in the gaming industry for a few years now, and I’m at the point where I want to start working on my own projects. But let’s be real: making games solo is tough, so having someone to share the load (and the fun) sounds way better.
I bring design, product, production, and UX/UI skills to the table, and I’m hoping to connect with artists and programmers. I think it’d be awesome to combine our strengths and make something special that neither of us could achieve alone.
I’m not pitching a specific game idea here because I’m in this for the long haul. I want to find someone who’s as committed as I am to building a team, developing a shared philosophy, and creating something we can eventually make a living from. For me, it’s about more than just one game, it’s about building a vision so we can grow together and make this real.
If you’re also looking for a dedicated, long-term partnership and you love making games too, I’d be happy to chat. Drop your portfolio here, or send me a DM. Let’s see if our skills and goals align and figure out if we’d make a good team.

Hello there!
So i am making a horror survival puzzle game and im in need for a team .
I will tell a bit of the story: The year is 2000 and you are searching for your sister that went missing in the neighborhood of Eldergrove 20 years ago because monsters appeared and started to kill everybody. They captured your sister. And you werent able to find her back then but now you found her, you fiid your sister locked to a wall with chains and there are a few pedestals next to it that have pictures of certain objects. But first you try to break her out but it dosent work so you try to find the objects.
And the game is gonna have a few dead bodies around the place so keep that in mind before you want to join. Because if you cant handle that you will not be able to handle the monsters of the game oh and there are 3 monsters. One can hear you and "smell" you, one can only see, and one is just uhh a thing.
I am trying to make the game look as realistic as i can possibly make it so just a heads up for the game too
I am searching for:
You can either contact me on my discord, my user name is elbollobotly or you can contact me on my email elbollobotly@gmail.com and the team will mostly talk through discord or on reddit
So i can i model, make the story, and animate so yeah
Hey, as the title suggests I have about 5 years experience with coding, from Unity about a year, and Godot about 4, during my time learning I did not put an effort to keep my old stuff, I would like to expand my portfolio a bit, and more importantly have fun working in a team
What exactly is my goal? I want to find others interested in whatever fields; writing, coding, art, design, etc. And go through the motions of making a small* project
Who I want to work with? Anyone that genuinely wants to make something, not just put in 20 mins work and leave. I have worked with 2 teams fully, and some individuals and ghosting is a big problem.
What project do I want to make? I am happy to make anything so long as its in Godot and small*, I have a few ideas, but would prefer to decide on a project as a team
How to make the project? Using an organizing app like trello, milanote or google drive. Start with a game pitch, small Game design document and then make.
Why non commercial? I am not looking to quit my job and become the next big indie game(of course if somehow something special was made why not go commercial right?), but its mostly a hobby for me.
My actual experience and current portolfio:
https://grublordgames.itch.io/pack-it-up-gmtkgamejam2024
I have this project from a JAM before, and am currently making a project using the steamAPI(going well but not released yet)
Otherwise a good amount of 2D experience, and enough 3D to make something, I would consider myself just past beginner since I can comfortably achieve a goal most of the time without docs.
If it sounds interesting please leave me a comment or message me, no stress about time zones as long as communication is possible
Oh and currently I want to finish what I am doing with my steam networking project before really delving in(so not for a couple of weeks I imagine)
About the App:
https://landing-page-uy1y.vercel.app/
Fitness tracker app that gamifies real-life workouts, rewarding users with in-game achievements and character upgrades. As users complete real-life workouts, they earn points and unlock items like skins and gear to level up their characters. It combines fitness tracking with role-playing game mechanics to keep users motivated and engaged. Unique features include multiplayer dungeons where users can join forces or steal from other users in the same dungeon, a character leveling system tied to fitness achievements, and item trading to encourage social interaction.
Art Style: Looking for a simple, appealing pixel or vector art style with equipped and viewing modes for each item. Core assets needed include a variety of clothing, armor, swords, wings, chests, etc. Specific animations, like a chest-opening sequence with visual effects (sparkles, light beams) and an item reveal burst, are also desired.
Who I’m Looking For:
Commitment & Ideal Fit:
I’m putting a lot of time and energy into this project and would love to work with others who are just as excited about the idea.
If you are interested feel free to send me a DM.
Hello fellow INATs,
Our team is working towards a demo for our game Aemon. Aemon is a monster tamer set in a post apocalyptic setting where monsters used in a war that decimated the archipelago have been created using gene editing technology. Some of our goals for this game include creating a open world where the player can choose to play as one of three protagonists, each with a unique take on the world, and experience a narrative based monster tamer catered to veterans of the genre.
Our team has been working studiously for quite some time and have developed a robust game design document, world lore, greyboxed UI, Aemon dex, overall story and quests, revamped attack and ability dex, and many other key components of the game. I'm attaching our AEMON SLIDE DECK which illustrates many of the key features we want to implement in our game to make it stand out from other tamers you may have played while still having that familiar monster tamer feeling. We think of Aemon very much as a deepened player experience which focuses on giving player's agency and interesting choices.
The demo is intended to be a 30-60 minute intro to the game, which the player could easily extend by being thorough in exploration or just grinding some monster taming XP to see what the Aemon we include in the demo could evolve into. We have the demo outlined with a variety of tasks to learn about Aemon, the world mechanics, and introduce the player to key characters. In addition, the demo levels are drafted up, and we're working on assigning specific abilities and moves to the Aemon included in the demo.
If all goes well, the demo could easily support a kickstarter or other means of crowdfunding to launch what we hope will be a fresh take on the genre. I'd love to talk to anyone who's interested in the project and provide specific details upon request. The best way to reach me is via discord where my username is PheonixSlayer, but I will be checking reddit for messages too. (Public channels on our dis are out of date fyi - internal channels for devs much more up to date)
We currently are composed of several artists, a programmer, and a game designer. Specific tasks for which additional help would be welcome:
Hello everyone, my name is Kevin Pennell and I'm the lead developer for WakianTech. I have made many games in my time, most with my own style art but some with community made assets. I am decent, but not great at making art. Especially in the 3D realm... I for one, cannot get or seem to master character modeling... SOS lol
GAME INFORMATION:
Anyways, I have developed a game that rung well with a Reddit community. It's called PRINCESS POCKET RUMBLE. I am pretty okay with developing/programming, but the art was purposely made to be Gameboy style since I have a limited range. However, I wish to make a sequel with more Joshi and a more improved aesthetic.
For those who are not familiar with what the project is about, allow me to explain more. PRINCESS POCKET RUMBLE is game based on Japanese Wrestling called TJPW (Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling). You can read more HERE! I want to develop a game similar to WWE or AEW but with a more simple approach (like what I did in the GB version). I also really want to capture the wacky and unpredictable events that TJPW is known for, such as fighting a literal dummy or playing baseball.... No I am not kidding, they actually have an official wrestler that is... a dummy.
If there are any fellow TJPW lovers who read this, I wouldn't say no to any suggestions or requests as well.
WHAT IS NEEDED:
Anyways, I was hoping to find someone who can help with making either 2D Game Assets for the new game or help with 3D Character creation of the Joshi's I need. If 3D, I'll only need help with Characters since I am actually pretty okay with modeling non-organic objects with relative ease. Just character and rigging.... not so much. 2D, if that is the route taken; I can also handle most things, but not the most advanced spriter around.
Even if you're not adverse in Japanese Wrestling or even wrestling at all, I would still be very honored.
CONTACT:
Please, feel free to comment or DM if interested! Thank you for taking the time to look at my post and I hope to hear from someone soon. Kudos!

[Hobby] PSX-Style Action Game
Low-Priority and Low-Time-Investment is totally fine, we all have lives and responsibilities outside of the team. You can join the team to give as little or as much time/energy/work to the project as you want. If you'd like to sit in and give feedback once OR design, develop and implement an entire inventory system, that's up to you (just examples). All skill levels and experience levels are also accepted, don't feel intimidated.
PSX-Style Third-Person Action Game focusing around unique Boss Fights. Dark Fantasy "Gothic" 1800s France. Inspirations in Bloodborne, Devil May Cry, and The Count of Monte Cristo. Bloodborne Demake is a big visual inspiration.
Hello, I'm Strega and I'm a Designer and Writer. For the past few months I've been researching, brainstorming, and designing a project focused around the idea of an adaptation/spiritual sequel to The Count of Monte Cristo. The style I've landed on is retro low-poly/low-resolution to evoke a feeling of a "forgotten" and "dead" era. The mechanics I've centered around is a Souls-like (analyzing attack patterns of a fight and then punishing openings) with more fast-paced input from the player to perform attack combos (stringing attacks similar to DMC or even a fighting game). Currently, it's being developed in Godot.
If this is an interesting concept to you, feel free to reach out through DM with what your experience is or what role you'd be willing to fill, then you'll be sent a link to our team Discord. Currently, we need a lot of Artists/Modelers, but we can find a place for you no matter what your experience or interest is. Any and all help is appreciated!
What's the project?:
It's a game called Odd Jobs, a Casual FPS Housework Simulation Horror, where the gameplay focus is on the cleaning and repairing simulation mechanics, while the horror is to create randomized paranormal experiences and hinder the Player's task momentum. A lot of physics, a lot of realtime lighting, and more interactive and detailed house mechanics compared to other games; while the paranormal events are more to build atmosphere/experience (as well as create more tasks) and less on cheesy jump scares.
Why we're looking:
One of our previous devs decided to leave for personal reasons, but says they'll help onboard anyone we get on. Code is clean and commented, along with Tech Docs in a wiki. We also have another dev still on the team, but has limited time to work on it. And while that's fine, even having 2 devs with limited time is still better than 1, it's a hobby project with hopes for Revshare or Publisher, so any time spent on the project is appreciated.
We had a "friends and family" playtest last year to play the initial concept/prototype and received good feedback, and have been working this past year and a half to expand on that feedback and other core game mechanics. We're looking to finish the remaining milestone tasks to have another closed playtest.

There's a bit to dive into in regards to onboarding with the different mechanics, so really we're looking for someone that's intrigued by the project and wants to be a part of it, in all honesty. Someone who thinks they can help build out current and future mechanics to make a dynamic/modular/randomized type of job simulator, with interest in horror experiences.
Help with the remaining tasks and bugs for the current milestone and then be a part of the future progress, including new features, implementing the game flow (UI menus, economy, job selection, etc.), updating/expanding on current features, helping put together builds, etc.
Current Team:
We know there's a lot of "I just need a programmer to do X for me", but hopefully showing that we're 3 industry professionals that are organized and production is well under way, will show that we're serious about our work. This is still a hobby project for us though that we think we can possibly pitch to a publisher or self release. If you think you can help and want to be a part of that, let me know! Feel free to reply back here or PM me.
I can model so no 3d artist needed but any help would be appreciated
the game is about a team of astronauts get stranded on a planet very far from earth and they feel there not alone on this platned and are looking for resource to fix the space ship to be able to take them home (subject to change still making story/lore)
I need programmers and designers because i really can't script or make maps (needs may change)
also you don't have to be really good at it because this is a learning experience
This will be a small team about 1-5 people in the group may be 6 (have not decided yet)
16.70% if 6 people in the group 5 would be 20% per person

Also one more thing, I will not let other do the work for me will work as they will, So do not call some idea guy with no talent, I am not no manger who sit there telling people what to do, That is all had to clarify
Hi there, I'm a freelance web designer and I just started with the "freelancing" part, so I'm offering a free website design service to anyone who needs a website for their sales pages, blogs, stores, etc. I usually work with entrepreneurs and other freelancers mostly for their marketing websites (affiliates, drop shippers, ecom), but I accept every DM and every idea!
Now to clarify why I do it for free; as I stated above I am quite new to entrepreneurship and I need to start somewhere, so to get new business opportunities I need references and I need to show my past work experiences. So that being said, it's a win-win situation.
So if you're an entrepreneur, a freelancer or anything related to that, and you need some kind of website to help your business, or your business plan, I'm here for you!
**IMPORTANT** While my service of building your website IS free of charge, keep in mind that you still need to pay for your own domain and hosting. They are fairly cheap but you will still need to spend some money so please keep that in mind. (And for everyone saying that there are free options, or for me to host it on my own PC, just no. You can find it cheaply but if you're serious about having a website you shouldn't be thinking about free hosting and domains. Also I am building them in a CMS, I am not crazy to spend days, weeks or months of coding huge websites for free, please keep that in mind too. I am not here to build another Facebook, Reddit, YouTube or PayPal as I have been requested to in the past.
Now that that's cleared up;
If you're interested feel free to comment or DM so we can have a chat.
Before reading further, this listing is for an adult only video game project. Please feel free to ignore the job listing if you do not have any interest in such, or if you do not wish for your name/brand to be attached to an adult only project.
In a few months our team will be looking to hire 9 different musicians to each make a singular track for our rhythm game. There will be nine different monsters, each one with their own rhythm game stages. You can choose a specific one available if you think you'd prefer to have their appearance influence the music you create (we have censored version of all characters, in the event you do not wish to see nudity) and we also have a completed 20 track OST we can share on request if you'd prefer that to be an influence as well. (Neither of these things are required, please choose a music making style in which you yourself are confident in)
We are looking for musicians with an already established portfolio of work. Bonus points to anyone with experience in the gaming industry, rhythm games or otherwise.
Price of services is negotiable, and will take any and all proposals into account based on your experience and brand weight if relevant.
Once again, please do not respond to this ad if you do not wish to have your name/brand attached to an adult only title. We are not looking for unaccredited musicians for this section of the game's development.
Thank you all for reading this post. And I wish all of you a wonderful day!
GDScript. (engl not my native, but in general can speak and understand prety freely(with some minor mistakes))
Looking for a team with a small project, to gain experience. Hobby skill lvl.
I'm looking for a team for a small project that can be completed in a couple of months. No long-term projects. Maybe a game jam. The main thing is that your project has some content that can be shown upon completion. I'm ready to go as a second programmer to help the main one. Since I'm doing this for free, I expect a respectful attitude. No slavery. Shouting, demands, etc. It would be great if you are a small studio that has released several projects and is looking for an intern or something like that. If I do your project for free, I will not sign any NDA. I write quite a lot because I need to fit into the minimum 250 words. For this Reddit thread.
Only teams with people who do something (3D 2D artists). People who permanently on energy drinks and generating ideas non-stop are not interesting. Coz they drop projects.
Can spent about 10h a week for free. Maybe twice more with some small tips (cripto only), to compensate coffe and donuts.
About me Engineer 37 years old. I have basic skills in Blender(modeling). and vfx (try UE5 Unity + Houdini)
My youtube chanel https://www.youtube.com/@Toxic_Trashbag
artstaion with some additional 3d models. https://www.artstation.com/alex_tak
Thanks to everyone. Coz i need ten mor words to complete.
I hope you are doing well. You are healthy and happy. Your loved ones are doing well too. Honestly, I don't know what else to write. It's stupid to write about all sorts of "I always dreamed of being a game developer". I hope this is enough for the bot checking my post. I've had to redo it 3 times already. I like to simply state my thoughts briefly and to the point. Because too much fluff gets in the way of understanding. But if it has to be done, it has to be done. Have a nice day.
Hey there! I founded Nexo Games Studios, a small team passionate about game development and storytelling. To clarify, we aren't anything official yet. We are just a small online team based on a Discord server.
We have been developing a game called No Return: Invasion Chronicles, or NR:IC. It is a voxel Sci-Fi Military RPG, being made in Unity as well as our in-house game engine The Golden Engine, which may sound confusing to you, as to how we can use two game engines however our game engine is highly compatible with Unity assets.
Logline: In the year 3020, Earth is under occupation by an advanced alien species known as the Solori. To liberate their home, humanity must travel across their purged home, plough through hardships, and vanquish the biggest threat the galaxy has ever seen before it’s too late.”
We wish to build a rich and deep universe from this game, depending on its success.
We currently need a talented composer to develop two main themes for NR:IC. We are currently inspired by the likes of Halo for the motifs, but Minecraft Dungeons for the style of music. We need a hopeful cinematic theme as well as an emotional sad theme, especially as the theme of this game is war.
If you wish to fill up this position, DM me here, message me on Discord, my name is mastergolden82, or you can email me at MasterGoldenNGE@hotmail.com.
If you have any questions, please just ask below in the comments or message me, and please, if you wish to leave criticism, let it be constructive. Thank you.
We are looking for unity programmers for an RTS inspired by Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, Supreme Commander and other games from the golden age of RTS games. Are you looking for a project with a clear goal in mind? Then this might be for you!
Right now we have tanks, helicopters, 6 playable maps, basic multiplayer and a whole bunch of other stuff.
15.000 people have wishlisted our game so far.
Alpha gameplay here , article here
This game will take place in the near future and will feature slightly scifi units but with a very military feel to them. We currently have a demo completed to send out to publishers, but there's always things to improve :)
What are we looking for?
What are you getting?
Once funding comes in (x months after the demo is completed, but no guarantee of course) you will get the choice of either a percentage of the profit or being paid an hourly amount of money, or a combination of both. Whatever you prefer at that point.
This game is also guaranteed to finish and the odds of getting a decent publisher are also higher than average. This is based both on past experience and the current agency that already does this professionally. I know the word 'guaranteed' is going to trigger some people, so let me rephrase that to 'unless I die or fall seriously ill this project will get done'.
About me
I myself have 15 years of experience in the IT industry of which 4 years very intensively. My experience (and tasks) include programming, marketing, art, team/project management, business management, HR related stuff and game design. For this project however I will be doing none of the programming since that won't leave enough time for all the other tasks. Some of which could easily be fulltime jobs in their own rights as industry veterans can vouch for.
I've talked to 100+ publishers and about 300 programmers in those 4 years. I've declined most publishing deals and have signed some others. The goal right now is to get a demo ready for a good publisher and we do have one that's a really good fit currently lined up. We just need to wrap up the demo for that and depending on everyone's input that could take anywhere from 1 to 4 months really.
Future prospects
If working together is pleasant and productive then I also intend to actually hire you for future projects should you be interested. My own personal goal is to have a healthy company of gamedevs who are as enthusiastic as me to work together with within the next 3 years.
Interested in completing a decent quality game?
Send me a DM with your portfolio / experience and why you want to join and let's talk! If you're applying as a programmer and don't have a portfolio just tell me a bit about what networking experience you have and if there are any projects you've completed so far ^^
I’m currently part of a team working on an Undertale fangame, and for a while now, I’ve been the sole coder behind the project. Recently, I’ve started to experience a bit of burnout from managing everything myself. To help ease the workload a bit and to make sure the project continues to progress smoothly, I asked the project lead if I could bring in another coder to help. Obviously you will need to be experienced in c# or shader language and unity. You will also preferably need some experience with using github, but if you dont, its nothing to worry about. Its also required that you speak either english or french.
At this point, most of the core infrastructure for the game has already been established, so the focus is now primarily on tweaking, refining, and polishing the existing systems. This means that, while there’s still work to be done, most of the tasks will often just involve adjusting or improving existing code, instead of creating new systems from scratch (some big parts are still missing so it wont be just that).
We also take in anyone else with experience in game development. So dont be afraid to apply if you are not a coder. We are a pretty chill team making this game out of passion for the original game. Please ask as many question as you want, and if you want to apply, heres the form -> https://forms.gle/hqR8a5ioarqkqTeZ6
You can also send me a message on discord -> alexiabelanger
Ill try to respond as soon as i can.
Hi, my name is Jordan and I'm looking for an amateur Level Designer to help me and my small team with getting a small 3D Platformer completed and out into the world so that we can add it to our portfolio as we learn to make games together.
Our team consists of Two Programmers and One 3D Environmental Artist at the moment. In the last four months we have built a proto-type for a simple 3D Platformer that features a Druid-like forest creature trying to find their way back home from the depths of a long abandoned space station (think cute robots with no purpose left -- rather than Alien Isolation.)
Our tools are simple, and our assets are all tile based (500x100x600) with various 1x1's, 1x3's, etc. We need a Level Designer to come onto the project and bring a bit of life to our space station, as well as make small and simple requests from our artist for assets and the like when needed. If code is needed for a specific asset we can make that happen, we're just trying not to over scope on this.
I've attached some photos and videos of our prototype, you'll note there are mostly only primitive textures on the meshes. Our artist will make those once they are final, and we would like you to assist us in concepting interesting new tiles and environmental decorations for our artist to make. For now though, it's all just the bones so that we can focus on getting the layout of these test levels the way we want.
Imgur link can be found Here
At the end of the project, we will all be credited with the work, and in the event we do list it for sale other than free, we will evenly split the revenue.
If you're interested feel free to contact me here, by email (jordantylermeek@gmail.com) or by discord [Fluff#7422] you'll know me by my very cool Raccoon Profile Picture.
Hey r/INAT!
I'm a Science Fiction writer currently working on an ambitious sci-fi series that explores a semi-realistic approach to both a war between human factions in space, an alien empire, and more. I'm also looking for talented voice actors, 3D modellers and 3D animators to try and help bring this vision of mine to life! Here's a small example of my work: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1v2G_ZA3LiHgp-UfCJe2Qywp5KmaEN7V3S7QbRG_ENWk/edit?usp=drivesdk
What roles I'm currently looking for to work on my Science Fiction project:
Voice Actors: I need diverse voices to bring a range of varied characters to life. If you have experience with different accents or expressive voices, I’d love to hear from you! If you also wish to, you could maybe voice act some alien that'll appear in the later episodes of the first season of the series!
3D Modellers and 3D Animators: Looking for artists with skills in sci-fi environments, character design, and futuristic technology. Whether you're experienced with spaceships, alien landscapes, or anything related to sci-fi, I'd love to see your work! I'm also searching for 3D animators that know how to animate well in 3D!
Some answers regarding the series:
We'll first release a pilot episode (Which is, practically, the first one). If it does better than expected, a second season will begin to be planned out by me. I'll be the script writer, the director, ane Creative Designer. The first Season will be from Seven to twelve episodes long.
Why should you join the project.
This is a passion project with potential to grow into something special. Something... Good! I'm committed to creating a high-quality story, and you'll have creative input as we develop this universe. I’m open to both beginners and experienced creators—if you’re excited about sci-fi and ready to collaborate, let’s talk in the Reddit messages about the project if you wish to!
Interested?
If so,send me a message in the Reddit Dms with:
Your portfolio or samples of your work.
Your availability to work on the project.
Any questions you might have about the project.
Thanks for considering, and I can’t wait to start creating this series with you!
Have a good day.
With love, F.M.M.
Budget: $150 upfront + revenue share (negotiable)
Timeline: 5 days
Style: Anime/manga, clean linework
