I begin with the quote.
"At the core of fascism is loyalty to tribe, ethnic identity, religion, tradition, or, in a word, nation. —Jason Stanley"
Another place in the wiki speaks of "forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race".
The problem there is it claims it is mainly "far right" when the "left" uses the exact same tools. In otherwords ANTIFA is the FASCIST.
Banning people is a grey area too often being ABUSED. It falls under that "directly forcible suppression of opposition". This very construct is tribalism. It has been used as a WEAPON and not as a tool for balance. The "individual interests" here is to get the favorite candidate elected or if you don't support whatever ideology to the T, they CUT your windpipe.
Crushing people's voice boxes in the process of getting your point across is not the way forward. There's no balance. Let them speak. Let them boo or cheer. But freedom I say. This unchecked tribalism has poisoned a lot of people.
The cure is an antidote of freedom.
Freedom never sleeps. Freedom does not need to ask someone permission. It is free. To do whatever we need without impeding on others freedoms as much as possible.
Political party doesn't matter here. That censorship can get lost. Democrats keep hugging censorship lately. I'm party neutral at the end of the day. Everyone can be trash at the end of the day if they don't support FREEDOM.
I'm very party neutral. Don't care for anything that doesn't help humanity.
The censorship of people needs to stop. Republicans complain about "Kamala" until the cows come home, but when it's time for their candidate, they censor people.
I will indeed be judging my election choice based off your ban. Maybe people don't seem to understand actions have consequences.
I've had bad day with Democrats before. But today Republicans took the cake. Your not assassinating my free speech. It's a badge.
Some examples from the wingnut playbook:
Thankfully it is they who are the chronically online fringe minority and you rarely encounter these freaks in the real world.

Is hate speech free as long as it doesn't promote violence?

Reddit’s comment karma system can contribute to the formation of echo chambers by reinforcing popular or mainstream viewpoints and discouraging dissenting or non-orthodox perspectives. Here’s how the system plays a role:
Upvotes and Downvotes Encourage Conformity
• Karma accumulation is driven by upvotes, which users give to comments they agree with or find valuable. This creates an incentive for users to post comments that align with the prevailing opinions in a particular subreddit or thread, as these are more likely to receive upvotes. • Downvoted comments are often hidden or made less visible, and users with dissenting views may find their comments quickly buried, discouraging them from participating. This can stifle critical debate and lead to an environment where only popular views are prominently visible.
Visibility Bias:
• Comments that receive more upvotes are pushed to the top of the comment section, while downvoted comments are either hidden or pushed further down. This means users are more likely to see and engage with the comments that already align with the majority view. Over time, this can reduce exposure to alternative viewpoints.
Groupthink and Homogenisation
• Subreddits often develop their own cultural norms and expectations. As users see which types of comments gain karma, they may adjust their behaviour to conform, avoiding posting comments that go against the grain. Over time, this can lead to groupthink, where the majority view is reinforced, and critical, alternative thinking is marginalised.
Self-Selection and Segmentation
• Reddit allows users to subscribe to specific subreddits based on their interests and preferences, which naturally encourages users to gravitate towards communities that reflect their own beliefs or views. Combined with the karma system, this leads to self-selection into subreddits where users are exposed primarily to content they agree with, further reinforcing the echo chamber effect.
Echo Chamber Dynamics:
• Subreddits that develop strong orthodox views can become hostile to opposing ideas, leading users with alternative views to leave or stop engaging. Over time, this creates a feedback loop where only the dominant view prevails, reinforcing the same ideas and pushing out dissent.
Conclusion:
While the karma system is designed to surface valuable content and discourage low-quality posts, it can also lead to the reinforcement of popular or orthodox thought. Combined with Reddit’s structure of niche subreddits, the system can foster echo chambers where dissenting views are less visible and less encouraged, resulting in a more homogenous discourse in certain communities.
