Hey :) I'll be out of town for a couple days over Christmas and am therefor planning to have my mammets take care of everything while I'm gone so I won't lose materials and profits. My question is regarding the workshop; I know that we get exp from the workshop every day after reset when everything has been processed and shipped, but if I don't 'pickup' that exp every day because I won't be online, will I get all the exp accumulated when I login again and talk to the workshop mammet or will I only get the exp from the newest finished workshop day?

I'm not attached to my world and was curious about transferring for the benefits. I've seen people say before that transferring gives you the buff for 3 months, but on the wiki the entire section is only one paragraph and doesn't mention character transfers:

Some Worlds with lower populations are occasionally designated as Preferred Worlds. This designation gives characters newly created on those worlds a passive buff called The Road to icon1.png The Road to 90, which applies to any class below level 90. The buff provides a multiplicative 100% bonus to all sources of EXP, calculated after applying any other bonuses. For more information about Preferred Worlds, please refer to the Play Guide entry on population balancing.

I’m not talking about too many PC players switching to the mobile version.

But if the app becomes very profitable while the PC community declines, it’s questionable whether they would allocate additional resources specifically for the app or simply reassign some of the PC resources to it.

Looking at the DT reviews, I’d say we are at a very low point in terms of quality and content. Removing resources from the PC version at this time and putting in less effort would imo slowly bleed the game out.

I know ffxiv is insanely profitable, but I think the mobile version has enough potential to beat that.

Obviously a worst case Szenario, but not unlikely imo.

So I'm nearly finished with Stormblood content so I decided to see the trailer for the next expansion and....THAT IS ONE OF THE BEST AND MOST HYPE TRAILERS I'VE EVER SEEN! What was your first thought when y'all saw it?

Hi guys looking for some answers here So I got bored of a realm reborn in the .5 post main scenario story leading to heavensward once I hit that I loved it all over again and I think so far it's the best dlc I have played

Then came .5 and I slowly trudged through into storm blood which was not quite as good as heavensward but was still fun I really liked the eidolon fights Once again came the .5 part

Finally I'm into shadowbringers and I'm just not gelling to the story . Maybe it's way to early for it but I'm at the part spoilers ahead

Where you go find alisae and alphinaud . And honestly nothing so far has felt different that .5 any idea when I'm likely to come to the good story bit ? Or any reason I'm not feeling this expansion

I was waiting for more about that area.

More people, more vehicles flying, more lights. I was waiting for a big cyberpunk city.

All big cities from all expansions are deserted now yeah but idk, I was waiting Solution 9 to be the new Limsa.

People are just here for crafting NPC and raids NPC too. That’s the only things that make that city visited by people.

The area is huge but so empty. Maybe it’s because we are only in 7.15 and there are will be more events, etc…

But I remember before DT when they talk about this zone I was like « omgg finally something from the future », I’m a big fan of SF.

It’s just city yeah but idk, I was waiting for more maybe some people share that too ?

I’m thinking of transferring to a preferred world. I was on a legacy server because my friend started there. I transferred long ago to this server but now my friend stopped playing with me. He’s more into just raiding once a week.

Where would you recommend transferring to? DC-Server.

Also, where would one find information on communities in these DCs.

Looking back at the trailers for all the expansions, only a few jobs have never been shown in the cinematics... would you like the next expansion to fill this gap? As a Summoner, I hope so.

Covid came and went, world healed, there has been 2 expansions and 2 post expansions and every day FFXIV just gets more dry… first 7.0 with all its drumming about graphics update only for it to be like turning on shaders on.

Game feels empty, players have been chanting “feel free to take a break and unsub” so much that now the game only has a few Limsa AFKers

This game feels more dead than SWTOR does but sure, I’m just doom posting

someboby help me!

Attempted to log in after some time away. Tells me my password is incorrect, I reset my password. Password is still flagged as incorrect. Reset my password multiple times after being locked out of it. Still locked out.

Read that you can receive a one time password form the mogstation to bypass this, cannot log into the mogstation due to an incorrect password.

I have looked at other threads, not even limited to just Reddit. I have tried doing those things. I just don't get it. I'm so frustrated that I'm incredibly close to being perfectly fine with never playing again. I think I'm still trying due to pure stubbornness.

TLDR; I know my password is right, why is it telling me it is incorrect?

Evrything goes normal, we only wipe on the first boss because our healer gets caught in an unfortunate combination of AOEs. We do it again and all goes smooth...right until the end.

Long story short, it's been a hot minute since the last time I faced Storge. Everyone dies in the first minutes, admittedly because of our own mistakes, except for the tank; a GNB. Usually when this happens the tank decides to complete the wipe and everyone goes for another shot, not this time.

The GNB remains in the arena and decides tondolo Storge. Granted, it's genuinely impressive they managed to beat it by themselves...but that also meant the rest of us remaining outside of the area for the next 20 minutes or so.

I can't tell, of course, what the other party members thought of this, I can only tell it was terribly boring for me. A bit disrespectful, even, as I'm there to play and have a nice time fighting.

Duty ends, we all walk out. Queue for Trial; I feel so unsatisfied.

So, I'd like to know everyone's opinions on this. If you have been in a similar situation or have any feelings on it.

Like the title says, are there ways of acquiring maps without being a Disciple of the Land? I could've sworn there was, but I can't seem to find anything besides "buy them or farm them". I'd rather not get into the DoH/DoL stuff if I can avoid it.

What Is Fashion Report?

It's a weekly event held at the Gold Saucer where you can earn in excess of 60,000 MGP (10,000 for taking part, 50,000 for scoring 80 or more... you can get more using FC or personal MGP buffs) a week just by equipping some glamours. After weekly reset; we get hints as to a set of glamours we need to wear which is then up for scoring on Friday. It's the same for everyone so even if you don't want to join in with the guessing game below; you can wait for the results and present your outfit and get some easy MGP. Current and previous results can also be found on this query thread or alternatively follow Kaiyoko for the Friday results thread.

Best guess is worked out by historical results (repeat results) or in the case of new clues, community effort

Just finished ARR and oh my god that ending… i’m so excited to start HW and i just needed to share my excitement lol

I am brand new to the game as a catgirl in her Mi’quote gear, running around doing first day quests, and a giant catfish man dressed up as Santa gives me a bunch of money and a bear cub. I’m feeling pretty darn charmed by this game right now, ngl.

helloo, so im currently just finishing a couple of things before i start the dawntrail msq. to be honest this has probably been the most bored ive been while playing since im levelling up my crafters (have always despised this) and i thought how nice it would be to play with people.

i joined an fc that was super big a while ago and met/talked to nobody. It was mainly due to them all being working adults while i was/still am in uni so it was a lil awkward.

I joined a smaller fc after that, and once again no luck. these people just didnt wanna do anything lol

where/what am i supposed to do to meet people? ive joined discords and havent had much luck since i dont wanna seem desperate in asking people to play. i just wanna raid and do stupid stuff with people but none of my friends play this game 😭

Context

Does anyone else find themselves talking themselves into wanting to relive the story and figure out where you wanna start. And just before you press that ng+ button you stop for really no reason and look and see if you wanna watch cutscenes again?

That's literally where I am at the moment, I've been wanting to do...around the second half of StB to EW in ng+ for a while but I keep stopping last minute for no damn reason. Then I look at the cutscenes...and then start thinking I wanted to do ng+ for the little bits of dialogue you don't see in cs. And the cycle continues.

Just wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this little dose of insanity or if it's just a me exclusive

Does anyone know why this is happening? I've been playing for about a month, and this has never happened before.
