A space for ExHindus to discuss freely on hinduism

A community of Atheists/Agnostics who previously identified themselves as Hindus. This subreddit is not limited for discussion about Hinduism.

A ''community'' of users too privileged and cowardly to oppose Hindutva, religious extremism or even the status quo of their own lives. This is a space for rebel wannabes who talk the talk but will never walk the walk.

Evidence of homosexuality in mythology

I recently read the story of Bhagirath and how he was born from copulation of two women. Their copulation happened due to death of their husband and in search of a child. With a boon from Lord Shiva, the two women could copulate and produce a child ( Bhagirath).

The story rose the question, are there any other stories of homosexuality in the Hindu mythology?

Shibram Chakraborty in his book from Moscow to Pondicherry.

"The symbol of equality is not the Brahmin, it is the image of division.

India's creator is the Shudra (SC-ST-OBC), this ancient inhabitant is a Shudra,

This civilization is Shudra civilization. The days of the Brahmin are over,

Brahmins were in India before, and Shudras will remain after.

If the Brahmin is not removed from the shoulders, this nation will never be able to stand upright.

Without the abolition of Manu's rights (Manusmriti), the development of humanity in this country is impossible.

-----Shibram Chakravarty/Moscow to Pondicherry"

    • Nope, his name was Gangadhar Nehru and he was son of Laxmi Narayan Nehru
  2. Nehru was born in brothel -
    • Nope, he wasn't
  3. Nehru gave Veto power to China -
    • After WW2, Allies Power divided power among themselves, India was never given Veto opportunity. This is always the reason why Japan, Italy and Germany do not have Vito either (as they were Axis)
  4. Maharana Pratap was 7ft -
    • This claim has lack of evidence
  5. Chandragupta Maurya defeated Alexander -
    • Chandragupta and Alex never faced each other, Chandragupta was a kid then; Chandragupta defeated Selecus Nikator I NOT Alexander, it was
  6. Porus defeated Alexander -
    • Nope, Porus lost
  7. Asoka was already Buddhist before Kalinga war and had no remose of Kalinga war -
    • Nope, Asokan 13th rock edict of Kalsi literally says the massacare of Kalinga war caused Asoka grief and sorrow and then he decided to follow Buddha's path. There exist Sri Lankan texts that mentions Asoka already being a Buddhist, but these texts do not even mention the existence Kalinga war and hence rendering these texts written hundreds of years later untrustworthy.
  8. Chandragupta was low caste born -
    • Nope, he was son of Chandravardhan Maurya a Kshatriya ruler of Pipplivan Janapada. (Sources: Jain book like - Parishishtapavarna and Chandravirchitkathakosh, Buddhist book sources like - Mahavansh, Mahabodhivansh & Mahaparinibban Sutta )
  9. Prithviraj Chauhan spared Ghori17 times, 18th time Ghorienslaved him, blinded him and used him as entertainment -

  10. Prithivi Raj Chauhan killed Md Ghouri when he was using is archery skills as entertainment -
  • Nope, The line "चार बांस चौबीस गज, अंगुल अष्ट प्रमाण, ता ऊपर सुल्तान है, मत चूको चौहान" is historically inaccurate as he was KIA by Gauri in second battle of Tarain.
  1. Maharana Pratap did not lose the war with Akbar-
  • Yes, he did lose the war, and honestly ran away from the battlefield like a coward.
  1. Rahul is Italian -

  1. Chandrashekar Azad of Bhim Army is Muslim -
  • Nope, he's not
  1. Patel was going to be PM not Nehru -
  • Nope, Patel died in Dec 1950, first general election was held in 1951-1952, even if we consider interim govt of 1946, Vice-President (highest position) of the Executive Council was Nehru and Patel was managing Home Affairs, so after independence the portfolio remained same.

Ahiṃsā is the greatest refuge. Ahiṃsā is the highest charity. Ahiṃsā is the greatest penance"
