I am editing footage shot on a Red camera in 6k. However, im working on my MacBook so I have proxies set to 1/4 playback resolution, I have my project settings at 1080, and color grades and fusion effects disabled. Yet my playback is still lagging horribly and I cannot edit at all. What could I possibly be doing wrong???

I feel like my audio balancing could use some work. I basically tried to keep the audio monitor in Davinci Resolve to never show red but if there is something more in depth or if I should possibly shoot for even lower audio then let me know!

Idk if this is the sub to ask this in, but I'm very curious. There's a part in the movie 'the zone of interest' where we watch a little girl doing things while the hansel and gretel story is being told, and the editing of it all is really interesting to me. Anyone knows how was it done? The movie is known to be very minimal when it comes to its editing, but this seems like a lot more than a simple colour inversion. Would love to hear what you think. My best guess is that she and things like the train smoke & apples are either rotoscoped/comped in, but I'm not sure... Thanks in advance ^^

Hi, I want to create an effect in a 15 second video in which the hue keeps changing smoothly. Like throughout the duration of the video it should look like I am gliding my finger accross the hue bar.

I've been obsessing over old Mike Tyson videos and binged a whole channel. Which left me wondering how does he make all these old fights look decent? Is it a filter? I don't think it's simply using sharpening feature in adobe premiere.

I started recording and editing music videos, and some cilents like for me to record with my camcorder as well as my canon DLSR. so when i edit these videos, how do i not lose any of the quality of the DLSR while having the camcorder footage

I edit on Adobe Premier Pro, The camcorder footage is in 720x480(id assume 30fps?), and my DLSR footage is 1920x1080 (30fps)

So I had a custom character created and the end result was amazing but I just want to switch heads with two of the pictures. Could someone dm me if they are able to help with this?

Hi everyone.

I just need to vent for a minute. I am currently in the building process of my own website, but let me tell you, it has been a roller coaster of frustration. I thought WordPress was the solution, but I was wrong.

I got as far as installing XAMPP and trying to run WordPress on a local host, but it was a total mess. Every step of building a simple website seems like a monumental task. And don't even get me started on trying to figure out the navigation menu - it's like struggling with a stubborn beast.

I've had grand ideas about making my site look like something out of Wikipedia, with fancy fonts, colors, shapes, you name it. But my brain feels as dumb and blank as it always does when faced with the complexities of WordPress.

After banging my head against the wall for far too long, I've come to terms with the fact that WordPress and I will never get along. It's time to hang it up now.

I'm deeply sorry for the frustration, but I'm waving the white flag.
