For our "music themed" final project in Video Arts class, I'm putting together a compilation of shufflers from EDC Chicago. I took quite a few good videos on Saturday (awesome dance circles during Bones and Tritonal), but I could use a lot more footage. If anyone recorded any shuffling or dancing this year, I'd love to see it and possibly use it in my project. Thanks!

So I headed down to Chi with a Friday ticket. In our downtown hotel we go to the hotel lounge right before leaving for Joliet and meet a friendly guy at the bar who turns out to work the lightshow at the mainstage. He needs directions to EDC, so we caravan all the way. Besides my EDC Friday being absurd in its own special way, our new friend hooked us up with artist wristbands in gratitude. So I got to go back on Sunday for free, had access to not only the VIP areas but the light show booths and every backstage. As a diehard EDM fan, getting to go backstage, seeing the crowd through the DJ's eyes, and being a couple feet from the decks was unreal. I got to briefly chat with some DJs, high fives, and even shook the sweaty hand of Tiesto himself. It seems like most of the people backstage were crew or otherwise not ravers as I was dancing way harder than anyone else, so much so that security came over and told me to take it down a notch (which I soon after ignored, because who wouldn't be wildly excited?). Simply once in a lifetime, I hope EDC Chicago '13 was unforgettable for everyone!

I was really getting down to DJ's like Kill Frenzy, Huxley, & Popof. But wasn't feeling some of the bigger acts like Tiesto, Sander Van Doorn, Arty, David Guetta, & even Sebastien Ingrosso. It's been hard for me to describe why I feel this way, but I feel like the DJ's I liked were more "cut the BS & drop some funky beats" type shows. What does that say about my musical preferences? Should I look into more deep house, & avoid progressive house? Please help point me in the right direction. PS - totally not trying to sound like a hipster either. LOVED Above & Beyond & they're well known. Martin Solveig too. It's all about their style of music, not popularity. Thanks in advance for the help :)

Hey. Friends all bailed for Sunday. Just me left. Had a blast so far. I have a place at the Holiday Inn and my own party supplies. Could help you out also. Just looking for good experienced ravers to hang with. None of those drunk sloppy assholes please. I am 28, male, and pretty awesome.

My gal pal got fucked over, which fucked me over. . And it turns out the flight i booked was for April instead of May. . Pass is for this Memorial Day weekend all 3 days.

First time at an EDM event or festival of any kind (I've been to normal concerts though). Just curious who you guys would recommend as having the best sets? The one thing I'll say is if it's brostep, I'm not interested. I'd like to see a bit of everything though as it's my first time. Thanks and look forward to partying with you guys this weekend. :)

We all love Armin, Headhunterz, A&B, etc. We wanna know who you're most excited to see that everyone might just pass over because their playing on a smaller stage before 8pm. Personally we are excited for Metrik playing Sunday at 6pm.

I'm trying to figure out how the wristband goes on, but it's not big enough for my hand to go through the hole, and it doesnt seem that the wristband can loose up at all?

This is my first time camping at a festival and I want to be sure that I have everything I need and don't leave out something small but necessary. Any help would be much appreciated.

So I got my camping bracelet, is the bracelet what will get me into the festival, or do I need to pick up a different ticket at will-call? Don't want to wait in line to get searched just to find out I need to go back to will-call.
