Don't Stir the Shit
If you're amusing yourself picking fights with other Arisen, think again. This has negative consequences, up to and including a ban. Think about it, who wants to rent the pawn of a known dick? If you're here for pawn publicity and make yourself obnoxious, you're shooting yourself in the foot in more ways than one.
Stay on Topic
All submissions should be related to Capcom's Dragon's Dogma franchise. This includes the original release Dragon's Dogma, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Dragon's Dogma 2 and even Dragon's Dogma Online-- and that includes all console and PC versions of these games.
Use spoiler tags and do not include spoilers in post titles
Reading spoilers should be a choice - do not include them in your post titles. It is perfectly okay to go into detail on spoilers in a comment or in the body of a post, just not in the title.
Rents, Trading and Other Requests
Pawn rent requests and equipment trades/gift requests go in the weekly Pawn Rental megathread.
No Low-Effort/Duplicate/Trolling Posts
When reasonable, try to avoid creating a repeat post for the same topic and low-effort posting. This includes gameplay videos that have been posted recently. Please check the FAQ megathread (here https://www.reddit.com/r/DragonsDogma/comments/12h6nup/ask_your_questions_herefaq/) or try searching for the topic. Trolling is never allowed and will not be tolerated.
Observe Our Overlords' ToS
Standard rules of reddit apply.
No Name-Calling
Name-calling will get the perpetrator's username banned from the sub. The same goes for bringing drama or vendettas here that originated on some other place on the Internet. That said, you're free to say what you like as long as you don't break ToS or the ad hominem rule. If you exercise that freedom and say something the sub doesn't care for, take your downvotes like a true Arisen.
No Merchandise Ads
Merchandise ads are an instant ban once the Mod staff sees the post or a report. 'Sic 'em, boys!'
Ban All Bots! Bots will be Banhammered with extreme prejudice.
Pirates Are Not Tolerated
Pirated game or cheating to avoid paying for the game's license? Don't ask for advice here. Such questions will be deleted; re-posts are grounds for a ban.

The title
Simple enough, I'm starting to fear DD2 will be abandoned and its sad because I do love the game. It's obvious it needs more content so dlc seems like a perfect fit. We got a question form from capcom and then nothing. It's really weird.
Any one know something I don't? Or is this just kinda one of those things?
I just started playing this game the last few weeks, but the last couple days I've been on a quest grind. I was doing the Oskar quest and found a drake fighting an armored cyclops, and after a few tries (I used the nearby campfire to rest and they were thankfully still fighting but now in the day), I was able to get some really good dodges and combos in and my pawns actually avoided damage for most of the fight. Idk if I'm under levelled at 26, but it sure was a frustrating yet satisfying fight! Yay, crystals! Unfortunately the screenshot wouldn't attach :(
I know you have a limited time for the whole evacuation bit, but I've seen where its capped at 12 "rests". Does this mean if I don't actually sleep, the time limit doesn't progress? I'm trying to be very thorough for my first playthrough and want to maximize the amount of time I have in post game.
Is the Duke like a freak pedofile? It says she's 22 but like is she because if she isn't I feel way less mad at her for getting me put In jail
These quotes were new to me.

When you pretend not to see the money in a birthday card, same thing happens. Ah yes nice 'scar' what, I didnt see any ...
Is there something I'm missing with the Warfarer vocation? I feel like there might be, because I'm not a huge fan, despite all the hard work it took to get it. Having to replace one of your skills with Rearmament kinda sucks, and if you want to play it as advertised (3 different vocational weapons), each weapon only gets one skill. I realize that's probably what was intended....but I almost would rather just stick to Warrior and be done. I'm only Rank 3 as of now, so I'm completely willing to say that I just haven't given it enough of a shot, but as of right now I'm missing my Warrior kit
Edit: Thanks everyone for being temperate and kind. What I'm seeing is that Warfarer is primarily for fashion and traversal. That's cool. I may end up just switching back to Warrior, but I'm happy to have the Vocation.
While trying to pick up something I picked a rabbit and threw it by accident to my boqsha who decided to play catch with me lmao (no harm was done to any animals in this video.. I hope !).
Or if anyone also has a F-W-F build. I'm kinda struggling with the slow tempo of the warrior.
Want to buy the game, but its expensive. It's on Steam sale at a record low where I am for 43% off. Is this as good of a deal as it gets or is it worth waiting for the Steam Winter sale? Hoping I could get some input from people more familiar with Steam sales and how Capcom games, or even DD2 specifically, tend to do there.
EDIT: For clarification, huge fan of DDDA. The only reason I hadn't bought 2 was price.
To the replies saying "Don't buy at full price, wait for sale", it is in fact on sale, at 43%, just like I said above. My question is what are my odds of getting a better deal during another sale, or say, the Steam Winter sales? Or is this probably as good a deal as it gets?
Does anyone know the names what armors and capes he is wearing? my character is created to look like him but I want his armor clothes
So I found a wakestone shard right here in the everfall just laying on the ground(see screenshot).… I’ve been playing this game on and off since it came out and I’ve never seen one here before. I know I didn’t drop one of my shards because I only had 2 from the quest you get from the blacksmith about his son (right in front of the pawn guild), and now I have a full wakestone so I know it was new to me, but I was wondering if this has always been here and I just missed it every time for some reason? Has anyone else seen a wakestone shard here? I’m playing on hard mode if that makes a difference but I have always played on hard and I still have never seen this before.
DD2
...I'm a bit pissed at Capcom for how they give little attention to Dragon's Dogma 2, the graphic itself is like night and day, and both game was released this year (DD2 and MHWbeta)
I fought they new DE ray or Ray gau monster in the desert while in a thunder storm and my jaw dropped at how epic it all feels...
Also, VOICED PROTAGONIST...like if this is possible then why did DD2 have silent protagonist?
