Made this for a 5 course wine tasting! I’m new at plating. I was pretty happy with this :)
I’m not sure where to go to ask this. I buy my cakes from the same person each birthday, but the last two times they haven’t tasted as wow as they did in the beginning. How can I tell if a cake is from a box or from scratch? We went to her because her cakes are usually sooooo delicious. But now they seem like regular box cake? The icing is still delicious so I know that is homemade.
The cake itself is a little on the dry side. Is it because it was in the fridge or freezer before we picked it up? Is it because it was cooked a few minutes too long? (It doesn’t really give this taste too much). I don’t want to be that person but I just want to know :( I’m asking here because I don’t think it’s worth bringing up to the person. I think it’s rude and inconsiderate.
This is the second time in a row that it seems like basic cake instead of her good recipe.
Please don’t come with rude comments, I’m just wondering if there is a way to tell. I know you cannot taste the cake yourself to decide but is there a way to explain to me how to tell?
I want to make new desserts for thanksgiving and need ideas
Not common in UK have been wanting these ages
Had a recipe but decided to vary from it a bit
I am having a debate with my wife. Is there anyone out there who actually likes mint or peppermint on desserts? I personally think it ruins the whole thing. Thoughts?
