Show-stopping, seasonally appropriate Christmas dessert in line with Milk Bar’s Viral Pumpkin Pie?

Say what you will (“it’s too sweet,” “the crust is weird,” etc.etc.etc.), but Milk Bar’s Hilly’s Pumpkin is an Exceptional Dessert. It is a play on the traditional. It skews s’mores/sweet potato casserole to me, which makes it feel well balanced and familiar. At the same time, it’s interpretative enough to still be fun and unique. Pumpkin and white chocolate really bring out the best in the each other. The cornstarch crust is so rarely seen (most people opting for more traditional flavors, with the most adventurous going for ginger snaps) and feels seasonally appropriate and feels like Milk Bar’s signature “too sweet” thing; it feels like a play on cornbread. In short, I enjoyed it tremendously and thought it was perfect for Thanksgiving.

I’m looking for a similar dessert (not similar in taste but checks the boxes described above of being seasonally appropriate and show-stopping). I want it to capture Christmas in the same way Hilly’s captures Thanksgiving.

What recipes do you recommend? I think it’s hard because Christmas has traditional flavors but not so much “traditional desserts.” Cookies are big and a cookie platter captures a lot of flavors at once. I have a food blog and want to do a piece on this, maybe develop something. Thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated!!

Winky Jello Parfait Recipe Request

Hey guys, I recently found a picture of a dessert I used to have as a child, a rainbow jello parfait from a brand called Winky. They don't make them anymore... Has anyone had any success recreating it, or anything like it? Would love to make one for the holidays! Thank you!

Instructions: On medium heat, brown the butter. Set aside to cool. While the butter is cooling, combine the flour, baking soda, salt & cornstarch in a bowl. Set aside. Tis the season for homemade rice krispy treats (recipe)

These festive treats are perfect for spreading Christmas cheer with friends and family! Enjoy the deliciously sweet combination of marshmallows, crispy cereal, and vanilla.

Ingredients: 1 stick butter + 2 tablespoons 10 oz mini marshmallows 6 cups rice krispie cereal Pinch of salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Colorful sprinkles (optional) 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or additional mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions: 1. Brown the Butter and Melt Marshmallows: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat, cooking until it foams, turns golden-brown and develops a nutty aroma. Once browned, add the mini marshmallows, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the marshmallows are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.

  1. Combine with Cereal and Mix-Ins:

Place the rice cereal in a large mixing bowl. Add sprinkles and additional marshmallows or white chocolate chips if you are using them, they are optional. Pour the melted marshmallow and brown butter mixture over the cereal. Mix gently but thoroughly until everything is evenly coated. It will be sticky!

  1. Assemble and Cool:

Butter an 8x8-inch or 9x13-inch pan (depending on how thick you want the treats). Press the mixture evenly into the pan, being careful not to compact it too much. Let the treats cool for about 30 minutes.

  1. Slice and Store:

Once set, use a sharp knife to slice into squares. Store in an airtight container, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

What can I do with dark chocolate

So my gf bought me a shit ton of dark chocolate, 90% cocoa, but i never told her I didn't like dark chocolate, especially that dark. How can I sweeten this or use it without wasting it? I really appreciate the thought, and I'd hate to waste it. Also I'm not much of a cook, so nothing too complicated please.

I made Dulce de tres leches

A tres leches cake, dulce de tres leches, pan tres leches or simply tres leches, is a sponge cake originating in North, Central and South America soaked in three kinds of milk: evaporated milk, condensed milk, and whole milk. Tres leches is a very light cake, with many air bubbles.

Christmas cookie recipes needed!!

Hello!! This will be my first time making some small christmas tin cookies for my friends this year and wanted to ask around for some tried and true recipes y'all might have. I have picked the cookies i want to make for the tins and hope to find recipes for them so if anyone has them that would be great!! The first three im firm on but the rest im open to suggestions :))

Christmas dessert tin list: 1.White chocolate macadamia nut 2.Snickerdoodle with chescake bites 3.Brownies (would love recipes for this) 4. tbd 5. Tbd

Potential ones: •soft iced cookies (like those storebought white ones with icing) • fruit cookie? Like shortbread jam ones? •christmas mnms •chocolate chip? But with brownies and white chocolate maybe too much chocolate? Idk

Thanks!! 🥰🥰

Making coffee whipped cream?

I'm making a French silk pie for work and want to do one with a coffee flavored whipped cream topping.

I have made French silk before and loved it, as well as common whipped cream.

I don't have any instant coffee crystals, but plenty of coffee and could also use my moka pot for a stronger brew.

What would be the best way to get a nice rich "coffee and cream" flavored whip?
