Dance punk is a subgenre of music that emerged in the late 1970s, focused on a fusion of the energy and style of punk rock with the beat and sound of dance music. The genre experienced an explosion in the mid-00s with the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Late of the Pier, Klaxons, and Death From Above.

Hey guys, I hope you're having a great day.
Let me know if this against the guidelines but I wanted to post my EP that was deeply inspired by the likes of DFA1979, Daughters, Femme Fatale and other bands of the sort.
I wanted to dedicate it to DFA1979 as they really have been my biggest influence.
I'm a newbie mixer/master so it's not the best but wanted to get feedback on the material itself. Apologies if the mix is too harsh

Three years ago I dm:d Neon Plastix on Facebook asking what happened to them. I got a reply what the memebers were up to.
Today they sent me an update on a new single coming out - I find it pretty awesome that they actually went back and replied to me.
I'm catching them with Sister Nancy next month in Brooklyn and would love to know how they are in a live setting
Mixcloud: The House of Indie Disco Punk (55:53)
Hello everyone!
I always love dancing to a mix of beats, drums and guitars! For that, I created this synth heavy, dance-floor ready mix, that combines some of my favourite alternative bands with an indie/electro/disco touch.
...and many more!
Hope you enjoy it!
