There’s not a lot in the official uk store. Is there another source for official gear?
Probably one of my favorite pieces of music ever. Its weird because the recording quality of the CCTV sessions isn't even that great... but in a weird way it works in the favor of it? Helps it really feel like some kind of fuzzy transmission from another dimension. I love the original version of Exits so much and I am grateful to have both, but the CCTV version is just so ethereal and dreamlike and... Spiritual?! Anyone else really dig it like I do?

If you're a fan and haven't checked out any of the unreleased music or demos on YouTube, please do yourself a favor and check them out. While it's not technically an unreleased song, my favorite Foals song on YouTube is "A Song For You," which was released as a B-side to the Cassius vinyl.
If you just had Flood to remix it to achieve the tonal shift it would fit in quite well alongside Milk & Black Spiders, Inhaler, Late Night, Woods etc.. it's got that Alan Moulder (Flood's longtime collaborator) 'mixed' prevailing vibe if you know what I mean?
I’ve always loved SebastiAn’s production, the way he switches the verses into the chorus is genius also.
Feels like this could’ve been a banger on Life is Yours.
Two Steps Twice is the best closing song of all time.
I'm a serial concert goer. I've seen over 100 bands and have been to countless shows throughout my life. Live music is a way of life for me.
Just recently went to see one of my favorite bands live and realized.... how weak, even my favorite artists closing songs really are.
This is something I've noticed a lot recently. I'll buy a ticket to a show I'm really excited for, see the band I really love, and then they close their setlist with a...... "meh" song, or "okay" song at best, and it always leaves me a bit disappointed.
It almost feels like Foals ruined other artists setlists for me, because Two Steps Twice is just such a F***ING banger/send-off for a live show in my opinion.
To this day, I've yet to see and witness a better closing song...... Two. Steps. Twice...... For life!!!!!
Feel free to leave some other band recommendations that have a killer closing song like Foals, I'd love to check them out!
It is from the Total Life Forever era (their best):
This song has meant a whole lot to me from the moment I heard it for personal reasons and I felt it was only fair to commemorate it.
This song guys. I am so excited for Foals' future and Yannis' future in general, this is sublime isn't it?
An artist who's been in my DNA since their (for me) life changing set at Latitude 2013 still manages to blow me away
I’ve always generally liked the album, but I recently got it on CD and it’s such a fun listen!!
For me, it’s “in the dead white mist of the cooooool hourrrr” from Under the Radar 😅 I can never get it out of my head once I listen to it.

Not actually clickbait.
I was watching the play 'The other place' yesterday at the National Theatre because Yannis composed the soundtrack for the production. The director and playwrite Alexander Zeldin happened to sit in front of me so I complimented him on his choice of composer. Turns out they've known each other since their teenages years. He told me there was an Easter egg in the play which was new music from FOALS.
During the show, a character puts on music and shuffles through some tracks (one of them being the runner) before settling on a song with Yannis singing over some piano. It wasn't being played too loud, but definitely sounded broody, and the kind of song I could see being 6minites, paired with some epic guitars as it reaches a cruscendo. Anyway, not that this officially confirms anything but it seems to me new FOALS music is in the pipeline, with some songs potentially already finished.
A good play as well, worth seeing if you can.
I can write a book of all my favorite Foals lyrics and it got me curious if it was all Yannis or if the guys have any input on them as well. I swear I read in an AMA that Jack said that the songwriting was all Yannis, but I cannot seem to find it for some odd reason...
I saw the guys play Olympia a month or so before Life Is Yours came out and at the time they had some hats for sale, black with a colored stripe on the front and FOALS written on its side. Since then I lost it and haven't been able to find it anywhere else (I've attached a personal photo, since there doesn't seem to exist any proof online that it has even existed).
I was wondering if anyone else got it and was even remotely interested in selling it to me, I've been on the hunt for over a year and nothing even similar has popped up.
I'm going through a very difficult time and I just recently got into Holy Fire (I know, I'm VERY late to the party).
It's because I first became a fan when I heard Into The Surf so I was listening to a lot of middle stuff, orbiting around that era and my favorite album was What Went Down for a long time.
Anyway! I just put on Holy Fire last week and it has immediately become my anthem!! Just, every song gets me and makes me feel things, especially Late Night and Milk & Black Spiders.
And every time I get to Moon at the end, it makes me cry because it's like a release of all the stress I'm feeling and it helps me process what's going on. I also love how Moon starts with that little screech (for lack of a better word) and it reminds me of the K-Pax soundtrack, so deep and thoughtful.
