Fuck Spotify.
I know some people behind the scenes in camp BP lurk here - I just wanted to say on behalf of everyone here how bioody excellent it's been to see the effort put into getting these deep cuts onto DSPs this year. We've been eating so good - Little Thoughts EP, Bloc Party EP, One More Chance, Two More Years and it looks as though we're finally getting some version of Another Weekend in the City, the holy grail itself.
We’ve been piecing these songs together through YouTube playlists or local files for years, so finally having them on DSPs means a lot. While some might not see this as a big deal, many of us have been hoping for it for almost twenty years.
Kele’s a forward-thinking dude, but seeing these releases happen now feels like a real treat to fans and a trip down memory lane, and it's not just the band that play a part in all of this - the engineers, the publishers, licensing managers and so on. The effort that’s clearly gone into all of this doesn’t go unnoticed. I'm so here for it, I'm so grateful, and I know I'm not the only one.
Guys, I've been wanting to get a Bloc Party tattoo for like 8 months now, but I don't know what to get tattooed, an album cover, lyrics, literally I don't know. I hope you give me some ideas.
… on Ebay Kleinanzeigen. Maybe you are interested. This is one of them:
Strangers Things S5 dropping soon
Does anyone have high quality CRISP mp3s or wavs (preferably) of these B-Sides. I get bummed listening to the lower rips on YouTube
So, I'm making this post to see what do you guys think about the songs that close/finish albuns. I got motivated 'cause I'm listening very often to SRXT recently, and I personally like all the endings. Down here there's the songs that close the albuns:
Silent Alarm - Compliments
AWITC - SRXT
Intimacy - Ion Square
Four - We Are Not Good People
Hymns - Living Lux
Alpha Games - The Peace Offering
If bloc were to release greatest hits compilation, what tracks would you include. Let's say twenty tracks is the maximum capacity.
I got a custom made Four frisbee!
Does anyone have a crisp version of Always New Depths ?
I cannot believe my eyes! Thank you /u/pvtherman
Did anyone save the new snippet from Twitter? I think it got deleted. I heard good things about it.
I see a few ancient posts about This is not A Competition, but does anyone have an actual FLAC/ALAC file or even an mp3 they could share for this song (or any of those early tracks)? All I can find is the lossy youtube version. The song rocks but my old ipod disappeared years ago and I cant find the song anywhere on my HD.
Help!
I see old videos of bloc party live and I see that Gordon either plays with two fingers for each pluck or makes it look like it
I just watched bloc party's glastonbury 2024 performance and considering the size of the crowd, there's hardly any phones in the crowd. I've noticed this with a lot of bands but especially with bloc party.
I’ve loved Bloc Party since 2004! I stopped listening to them after a weekend in the city so I have no idea where to start. Any recommendations on their stuff from 2008 - present?
Also, I just heard Cain said to Abel and I am shocked at how good this song is. Any others like this?? It’s better than any song off the regular album! Thanks!
