13 years ago today, Ariana Grande tweeted about how playing Glinda in ‘WICKED’ would be her dream role. Does she deserves an Oscar for the role?

Gladly accepting recommendations

I have never really been into cinema but decided to expand my knowledge this year I’ve watched a couple of the classics so far but still feel like I’ve only hit the tip of the iceburg, please feel free to recommend some must watch films. I have enjoyed a lot of Tarantinos work, I’d say Martin Scorsese probably has my most enjoyable films so far so anything along these lines

I would like to delve into the works of Kubrick or Ridley Scott but have no idea where to start

Thank you

(before someone says just go online and see what you like i would like to say stfu its helpful when people point you in directions)

Agora (2009)

What is this type of scene called in film terms from various movies such as Long Legs, Oppenheimer, and Mad Max: Fury Road?

So I'm curious about the type of scene in these movies where it flashes through imagery and color to express a message about what the character us currently feeling.

To be specific the scenes in Long Legs where the empathic ability the main character has flashes scene of red with different satanic images such as a snake. Or the scene in Mad Max at 30:35 where he rises from the sand and scenes of orange and waves of almost fluid splash momentarily across the screen. And the many scene of Oppenheimer displaying thing like strings, particles, and most of all the various scenes of "fire"

I really really love this, it really helps set the mood and atmosphere of the mentality of these characters. It doesn't need words to make you understand it's message, it's great. Can someone please help me find the name for this trope?

Terminator+T2 vs Alien/Aliens

Lets pretend the rest of the movies from either series don't exist, which is the better? To me it is completely equal, I will never be able to decide between the two.

What's the best cinema screen in Melbourne?

I have seen movies at a range of cinemas in Melbourne, of course iMax is the biggest but not including imax, im wanting to know the best standard screen.

Brightest, sharp, good sound, comfortable seats

I've really enjoyed Xtreme screen and Hoyts locations, the seats are great. However I have been less than impressed with Hoyts screens. They are always dull, and have streaks on the projection screen.

What's peoples favourite? Has anyone else noticed the issue with Hoyts screens?

Cinéfilos, preciso de ajuda em uma pesquisa.

Fala galera!

É rapidinho e me ajuda muito!
Caso nunca tenha utilizado, não precisa responder.
Agradeço a atenção 😊
