I recently posted my 1998 Extol “Burial” longsleeve here and people seemed to dig seeing it so I’m going to post a few more old Christian extreme metal shirts over the coming weeks. Here is one from Mortification’s 1996 album “Envision Evangelene.” Oddly, as Morti got less musically brutal, their designs got progressively more extreme. I haven’t seen another one of these, does anyone here have one?
Dungeon Synth is already obscure, so this is gonna be tough, assistance is GREATLY appreciated
I remember somebody posted name of Type O Negative band clones but I don't find this post. Can you write name of this bands here?
This just arrived today! My favorite album from my favorite band.
It's so good! Not a single skippable track.
Latter Day Exploits - "Discourse" on YouTube
Interesting mostly down-tempo, kinda doomy, experimental, industrial-influenced black/blackened metal.
Just as the title says, I'm wondering what was the first Christian death metal album? Was it Mortification's self titled album, or was it something else?
Hey everyone, first time poster here! I stumbled onto Ghost unaware of their whole identity as a band. Didn’t realize they were satanic or borderline satanic until I paid attention to the lyrics and image of the band. All that being said, I really enjoy whatever style of rock or metal they are but I honestly haven’t heard a similar sound from a Christian band. Are there any other bands I should listen to instead of them? I don’t frequently listen metal so I don’t know the different subcategories of the genre. Thanks for the help!
Do we have one? All the other metal related servers I’ve been in have been full of people mocking Christianity or turning asking for band recs into a debate about whether Christians make good metal
Hey guys, do you know some analog groups of Electric Wizard for Christian? Can you tell name of this groups and their best albums in your opinion?
Powerful song. Who has the courage to make songs like this anymore?
Id love to get a tee of a metal band and when asked about it be able to say “thanks, its a christian band!” And I don’t know if its just me but merch of christian bands are kinda hard to find. So if anyone knows any distros, labels, stores or anywhere online to find merch of christian bands that would be super awesome. Plus if it’s extreme metal, but I like pretty much all genres so im down to see anything of any band that is christian.
Bands like sleep, Windham, electric wizard just riffs essentially
Closest I can think of is encryptor
I'm hoping to catch some Christian metal live this year in the United States. Ideally, some of the long-standing staples of the genre. Any bands on tour/going on tour this year?
The name? Eli Prinsen (ex Sacred Warrior, The Sacrificed)

Hi, I just recently became a Christian and I’m looking for metal bands that sing Christian music. The main reason is because regular music that would be sung in church doesn’t sound great to me, I like the message of course just not the sound.
I’ve asked this before in the Christianity subreddit and they all suggest metalcore and screamo Christian bands, and while it’s better, it’s still not my type. I like bands where I can understand the lyrics but also where they have really good riffs and stuff like that. So the bands in the title are who I’m using as a reference to what I’m trying to find.
Are they inhales or not? I ask because their label says that he doesn’t do inhale vocals but I kinda sounds like it and I love their music but I just don’t have a trained ear for that kind of stuff yet
As comical as it sounds, I appear to have lost a band. A power metal band called Great Helm released an album (likely their first) last year called Against the Dragon, I can no longer find the album on Spotify, while neither band nor album appears on YouTube. Amazon music has issues with the artist page, so I can't see them on there. As I'm not on any social media outside of Reddit, did I miss something? I really liked this band, so I'll be sad to see them go.
