I usually like to listen to artists like Bobby Bass or like Geoff Castellucci, but I can't find anything really similar to them. Could anyone help me?
I'm a musician and music lover. I listen to music a lot and I've been a Christian for a long time, but I listen to a lot of secular music. I want to stop listening to secular music and there have been times where I stop, but then I'll go back to it because I just find 99% of all Christian music boring and homogenous.
Many Christian musicians, with the exception of the majority of gospel musicians of course, don't use much complex ideas or music theory and many of them don't use creative or experimental sounds. Christian music has become safe and made to be easily recreated so that any church can play it. Yes I could go and listen to the Christian music and worship music I already love, I don't hate all Christian music either, but sometimes I crave complex or unique music and I just can't find that.
I'm looking for some artist recommendations that may or may not hopefully fill my niches and I don't know whereelse I can turn to. If any of you would be willing to read what I like and make possible recommendations, I'd really appreciate. If not or you can't think of anything that fits my tastes, I understand.
The type of music and artists I like are:
As an anime fan I love music featured in the opening and ending of anime. Even composers like Hiroyuki Sawano I love. If there is a Christian artist that makes me feel like I'm listening to something that type of sound, I'll love them for life. Not every Jpop/rock artist is great, but there are some that are just so great and unique and I never get tired of them. Artists and bands include LiSa, Hikaru Utada, Ling Tosite Sigire/TK, Cö Shu Nie, and Mili.
I love jazz/funk and although gospel music has jazz influences, I don't like most gospel music (most of it's just not for me although lately I have enjoyed more of it). Now I know I'm about to bring in more Japanese artists, but these two bands are honestly two of my favorite bands of all time: Ali (Alien Liberty International) and Seatbelts.
Yeah I know some rock bands out there like Flyleaf (Lacey Sturm), Fireflight, Red, and Skillet, but it wouldn't hurt to get more recommendations. I like some of Radiohead's stuff as well as Linkin Park, The Killers, Queen (which I know doesn't fall into the above subcategories), Muse, etc. Bonus points if there's someone who makes music like Kevin Sherwood from cod zombies.
I grew up with this Nero, Daft Punk, Madeon, Zed, Justice, Kaskade, and Deadmau5. If there's a Christian musician out there like them, that would be awesome. And yes I love Capital Kings' music.
I love soundtracks and classical music and I love music that makes you feel like you're in a poignant movie scene or an epic climax of a story. Great artists who do this are Hiroyuki Sawano, Yoko Kano, and Woodkid.
Hey guys, I need your help finding a song. I can't remember the rest of it but it's not Jireh by maverick city (that's the only thing google's been recommending).
All I remember from the chorus is this:
I'm aaaaallll readyyyyyy loved
I'm aaaaallll readyyyyyy loved
That's all I got. Hope someone can help. Thanks!
Hey there! There was a song my church used to play back in the 2010s. We all called it Peace Pipes but both Google and Spotify didn’t give any helpful results for that. Some other information I remember:
Any help would be much appreciated. I have a relative who is quite sick and we thought it would be a nice song for them to listen to.
Well I like screamo, metal, rock but I also wanna see if anyone is doing like a blend together like with rap or trap and I personally don’t know any Christian who is besides an a example I made but, idk who else is doing that . Do any of y’all know?? 😩
To be specific, I'm trying to find small Christian rock or metal bands that are really out there trying to reach people that you would never find in Church. I've been called to help them spread the message but I can't seem to find anybody that's really putting in work for the kingdom.
Preferably people with less than 5k monthly listeners on Spotify. Those are the type of people I can really help. ❤️
I just was listening to a song where the line between talking to a girl and Jesus was very vage. And I thought if Jesus was sitting next to you, you wouldn’t sing stuff like that. So I need some more Bible grounded RnB songs. If you got a playlist hit me up. Thx 🙏

Of all the subreddits, this one should be popping. Is their another Christian music reddit that I haven't found yet? Why are Christians so silent around here?
They are one of my top favorite bands, I saw them in concert in Portland in 2022 and it was life changing… I was curious why the sister Franni left the group and see now on her instagram she’s gonna be performing solo now?
I was listening to “Best Friend” by Yelawolf and Eminem and it is obviously a song worshipping God but my question is, do we think God appreciates this song and others like it? I know that the Bible says that in heaven there will be constant worship songs going on and I would assume that would include worthy modern worship songs…would we hear this one???
I remember Liking the sound of this Christian, I'm assuming death metal, band. The thing that stood out for me is that the singer was neither singing fully clean and neither fully screaming. Some things that might help is that i remember that an album cover for one of their albums was a picture of a woman and blood layered over the image of her, that they later had a different singer that sang more normally, and that they had a small name. Thank you and sorry if this isnt the appropriate subreddit.
AI isn’t helping me.. I am trying to find a song from my childhood that was by a female Christian pop artist with a similar chorus melody to that of “Cinderella” by the cheetah girls. The lyrics are something like “I don’t wanna be like..something something something… “ I feel like I’ve searched all ZoeGirl and Amy Grant. God bless the person who might know what I’m talking about…
Stuff metal-leaning or alt-rock/pop is ok too! I love twenty one pilots and a Christian band like them with female vocals would slap

This is my work.
Ok this is so vague I'm sorry but can anyone remember a song that went "the man who was with the man who was with the mad who made the world"? I remember seeing on God TV or something in the early 2000s and I've tried to find it online now but can't anywhere. Anyone got any clues? In the music video they're in a car, that's all I remember
Enjoyed music on those ‘sexy drill’ type beats. The closest Christian songs I have to them is:
Jah Heer - Not Like That Jah Heer - Played Out Efosa! - Charge It To The Game Efosa! - Prayer (Spirit SOS)
Do you guys have any artists similar to these guys? Open to so many options. I’m new to this

Has anybody heard of the band 'The Travellers'?
They were a Christian band around in the '90s who I saw live in Australia and I had a cassette of their album at the time. The only lyrics I can remember are "...see you at the party....".
Their music was so encouraging to me as a young Christian. I have no idea where that cassette went or what happened to the band! I can't find anything online about them at all.
Putting this out there just in case.......I'm not dreaming.
Christian Rock bands like From ashes to new??? i love the rap, and rock elements of From Ashes To New, and there voiced, i been convcted a lot about listening ot them, even though i cant stop jaming to them, do you guys have any ideas? i listen to Skillet, Red, Ashes Remain, Disciple, Spoken, but they dont have the rap element to it that From Ashes to New has. do you guys have any recomdations?
I recently rewatched the Jeremy Camp biopic "I Still Believe" & went on Spotify to find the soundtrack.
Imagine my shock to find that the epic song over the final credits isn't on the soundtrack!
https://open.spotify.com/track/5IWpVuwESgSyUbQGbjdgXT?si=02427919b5354176
Has anyone else done this? Heard a great soundtrack & found the best song NOT to be on the final cut?
Also... Thoughts on the movie? Personally it's one of my favourites in recent years, but it reduces me to tears every single time I watch it. Such a moving story. I love Jeremy's music, I wish he'd tour the UK!
I'm looking for something less mainstream and more in the vein of "I'm depressed and in the middle of it but also Jesus." Or "I'm not technically a Christian artist but am a Christian." Alternative, indie, folky.
My playlist currently features a lot of Chris Renzema and Twenty One Pilots. Some Kings Kaleidoscope. And some Noah Kahan...
