Does anyone know why there were many Police cars on East 10th and a police cruising Eastern Heights, with lights, the evening of 10/31 ?

I thought my wife was throwing a bowling ball around but that does not seem to be the case. It's the crack of noon and I'm just trying to get my beauty rest but the whole house, including my bed, is shaking every minute.

Is there an earthquake or multiple explosions or demolition on the west side?

I don’t know how else to describe it, but it came in waves for about 15 minutes starting about a quarter to noon, right before the tornado siren. Shook the windows and everything…

Sirens going off when the south side quarries are blasting... PERFECT. TIMING.

It's 12:00pm and for the past 10 minutes I'm on the south side and keep hearing repeated explosions that sound far away and are so strong they're rocking my apartment building. Anyone else feeling these or know where they're coming from?

I’m looking for an old school barber… the kind that does the warm lather in the ears… the straight-edge neck trims… just a good, traditional haircut.

The last few places I’ve gone have looked like they are traditional places, but then they don’t offer these services… or, I get it one time, and the next time it’s a different stylist who “doesn’t do it the same as ____.”

I may need to go small town… it may not exist in Bloomington.

We don’t do trunk or treats or things like they have at the fairgrounds, crowds where no one knows how to stand in line make me anxious, angry at other parents, and want to play queue cop. With that said, we have such a blast doing downtown early trick or treating, feeling a part of the community and letting the little ones embrace that too, as well as going trick or treating every year in our friend’s neighborhood. Everyone we crossed paths with were so kind, patient, happy to see the little ones, and generous. I hope others had similar experiences. This year was just the easiest yet for our family and so fun. Thank you for helping make these magical memory maker moments!

Underground soma, music school soma, or Feta soma? A friend coming to town who wants to go, but I’m not a coffee drinker. Which one would have the best atmosphere Sunday morning? (which one would be busiest basically)

Maybe I’m biased because I just love going to the goodwill bins with my friends, but I think it’d do really well in Bloomington! Especially now that the regular goodwill stores are getting more and more expensive, we don’t really have cheap thrifting options in town

Smoothie King is requiring new hires to complete unpaid online training. They also have a uniform policy that states they will withhold an employees entire last check if they don’t return their uniform shirts.

A kindly stranger ordered an Uber for my daughter and her friend last night and I think she left her phone in it but we have no way of getting in touch with the driver as we don’t know who ordered the Uber. I know this is a long shot but does it ring any bells?
