Buying Euroleague ticket FC Barca

Hi, I am trying to purchase FC Barca tickets from the UK and was wondering how many months/days are tickets released in advance from the FC Barca website if anyone knows? Any rough idea would be very helpful as I am trying to organise a trip. Thankyou!

Where to find confirmed game day rosters?

I was wondering if there is a site where you can find the confirmed 12-man rosters on game day. I have seen that Fenerbahce sometimes posts their rosters on Twitter like this:

Any other sources that you guys know?

Jordan Nwora expectations - an analysis

As a long-time Pacers fan Nwora always intrigued me. He wasn't good enough defensively to make it in the NBA (as in, he really, really didn't defend anybody with any capability) but he has great size and can really fill up on points when he gets pushed into a first or second option role (for us that was off the bench).

When he first arrived at the Pacers (trade deadline, came from the Bucks as part of the Tyrese Haliburton trade) he scored at a very high level, shooting 42% from three, including some self-generated shots (so not just catch and shoot) getting to 13 points in 26 minutes. So he is a legit threat and has good handles for a 2.03m guy. This is probably his best game (and quarter) in the NBA showing off his offensive capability: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9Kk_K5yz3Q

He lost his minutes because he is also a legit sieve, his defensive effort was minimal, for a guy as tall as him his rebounding was sub-par, he never set strong screens and struggles to stay engaged. His real plus-minus (rpm) in his best period with the Pacers was still -4.5. Him being traded to the Raptors (in the Siakam deal) hasn't helped him either, his shot had already fallen off (I think he had a niggling injury if I recall well) and I think his confidence had gone.

I think him going to Europe is a great move, especially a team where expectations are probably a bit lower than, let's say a Real Madrid or Olympiakos. He can be a first option scorer if that is what Efes needs from him, or he can be a very solid second option which is probably his best role in a team. I predict he will get close to 18ppg and 6 or 7 rebounds. His playmaking is pretty good as well once he gets the system so 4 assists per game is realistic. But is that enough for him to stay on the floor? He will want to use his time in Turkey as a springboard to get back to the NBA I am sure, but for that he has to improve defensively, a more structured EuroLeague system may well help cover up some of his deficiencies on that end.

All in all, I think Efes potentially struck gold by signing Nwora but a lot depends on his ability to adapt to a new life, league and team.

What are your thoughts on Nwora? Are you excited to see him in action? Do you think he'll manage to rise above his challenges?

haters guide to the EuroLeague season

One of my favorite YouTubers ever is urinatingtree and he does haters guides to American sports. I want to try and do the same concept with the Euroleague. I will do a combination of serious analysis and funny jokes. It will be written in short paragraphs and it will go in alphabetical order.

ALBA Berlin: Oh boy. Last season was brutal and they barely changed anything with the roster and coaching. At least Trevion Williams will be some fun. Enjoy the bottom of the Euroleague.

Anadolu Efes: Welcome to year 2 of the Post-Ergin Ataman Era. Last year had its ups and downs but ended with a play-in appearance. Efes is ready for more. With Euroleague vets like Rolands Smiths and Vincent Poitier and intriguing rookies like Stanley Johnson and Jordan Nwora, this team shall be interesting to watch. I'll be curious on how good they turn out.

AS Monaco: Monaco flexed their financial muscles this offseason, bringing in two huge pieces in Furkan Korkmaz and Georgia's Papagiannis. They also went all in on chokers by extending Mike James and bringing in Nick Calathies. This team should be good for the regular season, but I seem them falling short when the games really matter.

Barcelona: Another playoff elimination and yet another year of head coach change. Panathinaikos was a brick wall last year and Roger Grimau became the victim of that. Not all is bad in Palau Blaugrana though. Kevin Punter should bring a big scoring punch while Juan Nunez hopefully turns into what Rokas Giedraitis was not(PG of the future). Chimezie Metu, Youssoupha Fall, and Justin Anderson shall shore up the depth. Hopefully Joan Penarroya gets this team deep or he will also be on the hot seat.

Baskonia: They always try their darnedest to be competitive, but the lack of money hurts. The losses of Cody Miller-McIntyre and Vanja Marinkovic hurt. The point guard factory shall continue though with Trent Forrest and Kamar Baldwin. Pablo Laso should also give them some much needed stability at coach. They'll need to do whatever it takes to convince Chima Moneke to stay long term.

Bayern Munich: Wow, they lost 4 solid players AND their head coach this offseason. They're looking for some bounce backs from guys like Voigtmann, Madar, Da Silva, and Napier. I guess Gordon Herbert is a decent replacement. Gonna be another bottom feeding year for them.

Crvena Zvezda: This should be one of the most exciting teams next year. Adding Codi Miller-McIntyre and Isaiah Canaan to a team with Yago dos Santos and Milos Teodosic will make them must watch TV every night. Their front court isn't even bad with guys like Nikola Kalinic, Rokas Giedraitis, Mike Daum, and Joel Bolomboy. They will be a tough team to play, especially at their electric home arena.

Fenerbahce: Two key things happened to them this offseason: Ergin Ataman getting mad at them for no reason and changing most of their roster. They got EuroLeague studs like Bonzie Colton and Wade Baldwin IV, key veterans like Nicolo Melli and Devon Hall, and the legend himself Boban Marjanovic. The talent is there, but Sarunas Jasikevicius needs to get the coaching and chemistry right for them to hit the next level.

LDLC ASVEL: We are currently seeing the twilight of Nando de Colo here. They are trying to help his one last hurrah by bringing in guys like Shaq Harrison, Tarik Black, Admiral Schofield, and Theo Maledon. Pierric Poppet seemed to stop the revolving door of mediocre coaches with an okay performance. Yet, I feel like there's not enough to move the needle here.

Maccabi Tel Aviv: It's obvious that the war going on in Israel was going to have serious consequences for Maccabi in the offseason. Losing Lorenzo Brown, Wade Baldwin IV, and Bonzie Colson showed that. They got two intriguing Euroleague veterans in Jordan Loyd and Rokas Giedraitis along with a bunch of talented rookies, but this team has weakened a lot from last year. Not being able to play at their electric home atmosphere will also hurt a lot this season.

Olimpia Milano: Ettore Messina was not happy after last year's underperformance and rightfully so. Almost all of their key veterans including veteran legend Kyle Hines have left from last year. Over free agency, they added a mixture of rookies and veterans as they tried to make their team younger. It will be interesting to see who the best players on this team are over the year.

Olympiacos: Olympiacos saw their rival win a title and now want one of their own. They had great coaching in Georgios Bartzokas but wanted to improve the quality of their roster. Bringing back former MVP Sasha Vezenkov and Tyler Dorsey was a good start. But that wasn't all, as they added Evan Fournier, Keenan Evans, and Luca Vildoza. This team should be scary next year! Watch out!!!

Panathinaikos: Ergin Ataman seeems to like to get in controversy as much as he likes to win Euroleague titles. In all seriousness, Panathinaikos did a great job in not just retaining their title core, but adding key players in Cedi Osman, Omer Yurtseven, and Lorenzo Brown. Panathinaikos should be a favorite to repeat, and they have tons of pressure to do so.

Paris Basketball: This might be their first year in the EuroLeague, but the team should bring some intrigue. TJ Shorts was the EuroCup MVP last year and Nadir Hifi is intriguing as well. Kevarrius Hayes, Maodo Lo and Daulton Holmes have veteran experience. However, they lost their head coach in offensive mastermind Thomas Iisalo. Tiago Splitter will have a lot of pressure on him to try to keep the team respectable at Europe's highest level.

Partizan: Zeljko Obradovic seemed to throw his clipboard in rage after their missed playoff appearance last year. The ENTIRE roster is new, from top to bottom. I think the new roster is good, as they have a nice combination of electric scorers, versatile wings, tough defenders, and experienced vets. The big question will be to see how long it takes for them to gel together.

Real Madrid: They seem to be the New England Patriots of EuroLeague, as they have little drama, loyal coaches, and win a lot. The Spanish machine shall continue their reign of dominance next year, even with the sudden departure of Guerschon Yabusele.

Virtus Bologna: Welcome to EuroLeague's retirement home! They have many old(but good) veterans in Will Clyburn, Daniel Hackett, and Tornike Shengelia. Rayjon Tucker and Matt Morgan should bring some much needed firepower to the veteran squad. It will be interesting to see if they have enough in the tank to make a play in this year.

Zalgiris: The Lithuanian team will do whatever it takes to stay competitive despite a tough budget. Despite losing a star player in Keenan Evans, they have done a lot to keep the team afloat. Sylvain Francisco, Alen Smailagic, Bryant Dunston, and Ignas Brazdeikis bring much needed experience while Matt Mitchell, Tyrone Wallace, and Deividas Sirvydis are an intriguing group of newcomers. The Italian Madman in Andrea Trinchieri turned this team around last year and shall keep them competitive yet again.
