Hi all
Got a 2.9kg boneless lamb shoulder for Easter tomorrow.
Was thinking of doing a 12 hour cook, but can only see recipes for bone in.
Just wondering if I can cook it at 100 degrees C for 12 hours and it will be ok despite it not being bone in? After melt in your mouth stuff
Yeah I know the chicken is mid, but that powder is actually crack. Is there a recipe it's based on, or is it something traditional? I'd kill for this.
anyone selling food accounts or know anyone that does pls lemme know
Woolworths own brand: 72% chicken - $10 - 15.8% protein, 8.5% fat
Coles own brand: 66% chicken (not available) - $10 - 13.4% protein, 12.9% fat
Coles Family Fave's: 36% chicken - $10 - 13.7% protein, 10.4% fat
From what I can tell 'Family Fave's' are replacing Coles own brand, as they are out of stock whenever I checked.
I've been getting the Woolworth brand for a while.
To save energy and time, I cook half the pack (approx. 10-11 pieces) at once, and then freeze.
15 secs each side in the microwave straight from the freezer per piece, and then 2 minutes at 200C in the fan forced small oven to crisp up again.
I make a dipping sauce of sweet chilli/tomato/soy sauce, or wasabi/dijon/mayo.
Hi everyone. Everytime I try to make garlic prawns it is never garlicky enough. Tonight I put in six crushed cloves. Would it have more flavour if I chopped the garlic? Tia. Edit I meant creamy garlic prawns
I absolutely love MasterFoods hot chilli sauce.
Can't seem to find it outside of Aus. Has anyone come across anything that is close to it outside of Aus? Seems to be like a Turkish / Harissa style kebab dressing hot sauce. Really miss the stuff here in Ireland!
...than Woolworths Gold Roasted Almond Shortbread.
Open the box and drown in a fucking explosive blizzard of icing sugar.
It tastes okay, if you can dig down far enough to find the shortbread pieces buried deep underneath the sugar.
Blue ribbon vanilla with Milo topping. National dish?
Hello! I originally posted this for students who wanted to visit their Kensington GYG near UNSW'S kensington campus (on the unsw subreddit), and am now posting this here so that other aussies can go to their local gyg and grap a cheap burrito.
Each account has a burrito coupon (as a part of a deal from using gygs new app) valued at $12.50. Through payid, im selling these accounts for $4 each. I can sell these accounts in bulk, and have references for past sales (:
Message me for more details, either on reddit or discord (tacho#0334)
I would like to make my own bread and I hear that Australian millet is highly nutritious. Thanks.
Hi! I'm currently researching how we connect to our cultural background through food for coursework.
If you have a few minutes to fill out this survey, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi y'all, I'm currently gathering research for a Year 12 Food and Hospitality investigation looking at Australian cafes that roast their own coffee beans.
If you are involved in the food and hospitality industry and work at/own/run a cafe that serves coffee, I'd really appreciate it if you took 5 minutes to fill out this survey!
I'm collecting data on cafes that roast their own beans, and also cafes that don't, so even if the business you're involved in doesn't roast its own coffee, it'd still be great if you could complete the survey.
This may be the wrong subreddit to post this in, but I couldn't find any other one that fit this request.
My friend and I have been searching for this ice block for nearly an hour and we cannot find anything.
This ice block was similar to a splice, same height, width and similar shade of green, but instead of having ice cream in the centre, the centre was red, sort of gooey and sour. My friend remembers the name being close to venom or poison, something in that ballpark, due to the sour centre. It came in a box with multiple.
We would really appreciate it if anyone had any ideas where we can find this ice block or even the brand.
Edit: Some flavours that my friend remembers they could be are cherry and sour apple
These apples were marked as “Imperfect Granny Smith”. Only I don’t think they are Granny Smiths.
As such, I think they are Bramleys or some sort of Bramley hybrid. Which is bloody brilliant if so, as I have never managed to find them for sale anywhere in Sydney, except a pick-your-own orchard in Bilpin, only available for two weeks a year.
If you’ve never tried Bramleys I highly recommend doing so. Their “fluff up” property is unique and amazing. Eg if you chop them up and stew in a covered pan, then lift the lid, they will have doubled in volume to this soft, fluffy magic.
I made the Golden Gaytime cake and the group I served it to described as the best cake I'd ever made them (I did use rum as the liquid so it had a bit of a kick).
I later made the Golden Gaytime brownies, imagining we'd eat them over the entire weekend. They were gone in a few hours.
I can't overstate how delicious these products are. Crack-in-a-box.
Next up I'll be trying the mousse if I can find it, and the biscuit things:
