I am looking to start a feminist hang out here in Brisbane - please PM me if you're interested! No need to post below and expose yourself to trolls - simply PM me and we can take it from there. This is just a social hang out - not affiliated with any political party, organisation, bla bla - I'm just a vego in her late 20's who loves feminism and on the search for like-minded people.

I've recently gone vego and want to visit a Doctor in Canberra that won't shoot me down. I want to have a chat about my diet and if there's anything I need to do and have a general chat about my health.
I saw one comic by the vegan sidekick that pictured a man explaining basically what they do to dairy cows but saying he was doing it to a woman he had kidnapped, and it said something like “and then I ate the corpse” “oh that's okay then!” but I'd like to find something that puts men in that place, because I feel like, society dehumanizes and objectifies women to the point where you could read something like that and not feel anything about it, and putting yourself in somebody else's shoes could make you question if you still want to mistreat them? Maybe? Depending on the person? I don't know.
So I will be visiting Australia for 10 days, and all i can think about is the amazing food i am going to have, but have no idea where to get these dishes that I saw on Masterchef but vegetarian so if you guys could please tell me the best places to eat, I will be visiting Sydney, melbourne, Gold Coast. Thank you.
P.S.- I am purely vegetarian, not even eggs.
Im not thinking about the animals at all really.. its not why im doing it..
Yea some of the practises need to be revised and more humane im not saying "f$$$ the animals " or anything
Just not my reason for it..seems to be the only reason for alot tho
So my parents are having a mini-shit about soap, considering the one that I've been using lately costs about $5 a bar, which lasts about 3 weeks, where they could be getting normal soap for half that which lasts much much longer. It got to the point where my dad was starting to question the efficacy of soap as a cleaning product to try and weasel his way out of buying any at all! So, does anyone know of any vegan soaps which don't cost much so that this stupid little ruckus can get buried? I'm from Melbourne, in case that helps at all.
I just thought I'd let the subreddit know that I found some very cheap brown rice, pea, and chia protein powder on CatchOfTheDay.
It's much cheaper than Woolworths, and is the cheapest I've ever seen a vegan protein powder.
This is the link.
If you prefer, this is a referral link, which gives us both $10 credit after your first purchase from catchoftheday.
There's also some other reasonable buys in the bodybuilding section, such as 'Musclewerks TST Ignite' flavoured preworkout powder $12.95 for 450 g.
