Good win as Auburn pulls away over ranked #23 Ole Miss on the road. Center and big man, Johni Broome is such a great player. Seriously, if there isn’t a r/JohniBroome subreddit, I’m definitely starting one. This guy is just dominant, and I still can’t believe what I’m seeing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a college basketball player, in (at least my time, like Broome). This guy is a big man in the paint that gets rebounds, gets points, gets steals, gets blocks, gets the crowd into it today. Today I saw what I normally otherwise wouldn’t see out of Broome, big man getting two big 3’s, and ringed the crowd. Dominating performance. Dude is a legend.
I was talking with a family member about Auburn basketball the other day, and I spoke with such confidence: this Auburn team I enjoy to watch, Auburn wins and fills me with a spirt and pride. I’m proud to be part of the Auburn family.
Shoutout to Chad Baker-Mazara too—18 points is no joke, and he’s such a reliable scoring option. He’s a “you’ll find points there kinda guy”
Also, freshman Tahaad Pettiford came off the bench for 9 points, which is huge. This Auburn team is absolutely electric. Having extra six man is crucial.
When I say this team is “shock-and-awe” basketball, I mean it. Their offense is on fire, their defense is suffocating. This teams out rebounds, create space, draws fouls, creates turnovers, gets blocks, good special teams neutral zone, all around best team in college basketball right now. This whole team has a chemistry and sort of fun’ness. I like to watch, when I watch basketball.
Watching this Auburn basketball team this year has filled me with pride, especially as they navigate such a tough SEC schedule. #1 Auburn ranked for 3 weeks now as #1. Overall 18-1 record, only one loss, and it was a solid one to #2 Duke on the road.
I can’t express how much I’d love to see Auburn face off against Kansas, and Duke vs. Michigan State, in the Final Four—Auburn beating Michigan State would be the ultimate. It feels amazing to love Auburn. I’ve always said, My happiness doesn’t hinge on every win or Auburn makes, but it sure does feel a little sweeter when Auburn does come out on top ;)
I’m a first time golfer so most of my time will be spent at the driving range. But I’d still like to know the best courses near Auburn .
I am 99% committed to auburn and I’m trying to figure out what living situation would be best. I definitely want to have my own room so that’s why 191 or the village r my top picks. What would yall suggest? And I’m open to suggestions so it doesn’t even have to be either of these 2. I do want to be apart of the social scene at auburn which is why i’m unsure about 191, but it’s also just so nice and the amenities seem great.
currently a sophomore at uab majoring in cs and have been planning to transfer to auburn for some time now but have been rethinking it due to tuition costs
uab is fully covered whereas auburn id have to take out around 30k loans but do have a bit of savings so far.
Looking to get any insight on the CS program from any current students or graduates and want to know what opportunities they have available such as internships, research, co - op, etc to see if it may be worth it from an opportunity standpoint. I’ve always loved auburn so just haven’t been too sure.
Hey guys!!! My first post here, so I apologize if someone asked this before.. Does anyone know if I can get sashimi grade fish in Auburn or nearby? Not as far as Atlanta! Thank you!
I know Auburn admissions have become incredibly competitive and my stats are below average. I would really appreciate a straight forward answer and for someone to tell me the likelihood that I’ll get in.
I’ll be doing the Pre-Nursing Major
95/100 W Gpa
No Standardised Tests
Out-of-state
Solid essay (I think?)
Currently taking 5 AP Classes
2 Honors Classes Overall
ECS (not impressive in the slightest):
Medical Internship
100+ Hospital Volunteering Hours
Part-time job
Summer job
Do I stand a chance at all?
I got a drug test coming and I smoke and probably won’t pass. Anyone know shops with fake piss? Or does anyone have any other solutions?
Deferred and hoping to hear this round since the mid-year report and grades posted. Early Feb release so hoping it’s soon. Any ideas precisely when it will be?
I am directing the first Auburn Scrabble tournaments of 2025 this weekend (1 & 2 Feb) at the Auburn University Library. If you are interested in dropping by to see what serious Scrabble-play is like, or just want to learn more about the Scrabble Club and Tournaments in Auburn, Alabama, you may find more details at this webapge:
I went to school at Auburn a million years ago and haven’t been back in forever. This Sunday I’m visiting with a friend from out of state who’s never been there. Driving there and back from Bham just for the day. What should we see? Wouldn’t mind heading into Opelika but trying to stay mostly in Auburn for the nostalgia. Wasn’t much in Opelika when I lived there.
Lunch, tattoo (planning on a walk-in at Against All Odds, any good?), drink, sightseeing around campus are priorities.
I got my undergrad at an HBCU. Definitely want a PWI degree under my belt. Let me know your thoughts.
That place sucks ass. Shitty meats, shitty veggies, shitty wine and they treat you like a felon if you want a cart or shopping bag. Fuck that place, I miss Winn Dixie.
i submitted my applicants to auburn and regular decision is a month away. my SAT lacked being a 1200 super score but I rank in the top 10% of my school and having a 5.2 weighted gpa with 100 merit points from class difficulty. i know applying as an out of state student lowers my odds but is auburn a long shot?
Hello, has anyone taken classes in the online program? I am graduating with an MSW from another school in May and I wanted to take some more classes at Auburn. I was curious if the classes are taught via zoom or in other formats. I always prefer in person classes, but I won’t have the ability to take Auburn’s MSW on campus classes. Therefore, I was hoping the online classes were taught via Zoom.
Girlfriend goes to Auburn but I don’t know the area, any nicer recommendations that are within 10-15 minutes of campus? Thank you
Hey! My schedule was totally messed up, so now when Fall 2025 classes start i’ll be 20. Ideally, I would not like to live in a dorm with 17/18 year olds. How is finding housing close to campus?
I'm looking at transferring to Auburn. Is it really that great? I was looking at reviews online, Rate my professor and everyone seems to love it. Not a single negative review except for maybe one or two. I wasn't going to make a post but no one responded to my comment lol. I'm from the north east but want warmer weather since I'm originally from South Africa.
Hey y'all
This is coming from someone who's never been to Auburn, what are the best bars/breweries/resturants in town? Respond or PM, whichever is best for ya! TIA
For those who have experience with AUSOM scholarships, what would you recommend to get a good amount of scholarship?
Okay so I loved coffee cat back when it was here and am wondering if there’s other coffee shops in Auburn/Opelika that have the same cozy cramped feel. I want another coffee shop like that but most of them seem too “clean” to me. They’re all gray and white with boring decor. If anyone has any suggestions I appreciate it!
Athletics, City of Auburn Public Safety, Auburn PD, and Auburn Safety need to be held responsible for the dangerous conditions created by their own ineptitude this morning.
In case you missed it, the student section for college gameday and the game later today lined up and was managed in the worst way imaginable.
Multiple broken bones including legs. Crowd crushes that could've been fatal. No semblance of control or order. People getting trampled. Fences shattered into pieces.
This isn't funny, this isn't school spirit, this isn't the jungle. This is incredibly dangerous and cannot happen again. People need to be held responsible.
Auburn student here and wasn’t planning to go to the game in person rather watch it somewhere else. Anyone got any suggestions?
