Help identifying this

I bought this beautiful 3-D peacock and flower image at an antique mall.

It looks like it was made out of shells and coral and such. Abalone for sure.

Can anyone help interpret the writing on it? Also - know what the style of art is called?

Help me find a piece of art

Hi,

My old laptop crapped the bed, and with it, all of my saved history.

There a photo of a a screen in a palace or home that was all silvered with three deer on it. It was meant to be a scene of deer in the snow. The deer didn't have antlers, to be more specific, as I've found a few other similar scenes on panels, but they were not still in the home, and they were gold lead backgrounds.

I believe it's Japanese. I cannot find it no matter what I do. I found it on an obscure site when researching screen/panels last year.

please help!

I thought you guys might be interested in an article I wrote on this little gem of a museum inside DC's National Arboretum. This place was really special.

Hello! New to this! I have inherited many Asian vases, bowls and tea sets from my mother and just trying to figure whether these pieces are contemporary or not. Could you enlighten me, whether this mark refers to modern production or not?

Cool Asian oil painting - who's the artist?

I recently got this large oil painting at an estate sale. I love it, and I'm curious who the artist is. Can anyone tell what it says? Thank you!
