Hi, I watched a video a few weeks back about a new medieval fantasy miniatures skirmish game set in a post-apocalyptic medieval world where poisonous mist/fog covered the earth and the only safe place were man-made constructions. Terrain and verticality were important parts of the game. My Google-Fu has failed me so any help would be appreciated.
*EDIT*: Found it. Just kept scrolling through youtube searches with generic wargaming keywords. Game is 1490 DOOM. This was the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LGtOJ_5UgE&t=313s
I've been in a bit of a mood for some late roman stuff and I've been looking at some of the "Decline and Fall" Romans and Goths from Wargames Atlantic as I quite like their aesthetic, I'm wondering how their scale compares to that of the Victrix counterparts as they make some great kits too but I kinda prefer some of the WGA ones so I'm curious how well the two could be mixed. If anyone has an experience with the two I'd be most keen to hear your thoughts, are the kits from one noticably taller or skinnier than the other etc. Any help appreciated.

What's so interesting about this project is the sense of community. Both in terms of old designer pals of Tuomas Pirinen's getting involved with it, the number of creatives who are involved as sculptors or guest artists who come from the Inq28 community, and the way they're leaving the door open for other studios to make official miniatures.
As the title states, I'm really interested in getting Warlords Epic scale of black power. However, it is obviously focused on Waterloo and US Civil War. I'm more into Napoleonics but don't want just Waterloo themed units. Are there any recommendations for similar scale minis that could work in the system? I really want some Russians and Austrians to simulate Napoleons eastern campaigns. Any advice would be appreciated.
Today on the podcast, it’s our pleasure to welcome Chris on the show, the host of the Gettysburg Campaign which was run on the Little Wars TV discord. Josh interviews him about the rules he came up with to create a full multiplayer campaign with fog of war, lost messages, big battles, and more.
I love this stuff so much
Can you please recommend a good skirmish game system that has the following elements:
Hello fellow strugglers, does anyone have recommendations for tabletop wargames/ miniatures that give that Berserk feel? Obviously a miniature wargame isn’t going to quite capture Berserk’s philosophical introspection and character complexity, but I first got into the franchise for a few reasons: over the top gore, hella demons, and a stone cold motherfucker with a big sword and a cannon for an arm. For full disclosure, I’m super into Warhammer, wound charts, the wargame D&D used to be, etc etc.
TLDR; What wargames best give the Berserk feel/ look?
Trying to find the main big miniature in this picture. I tried googling it with Google lens but not much came up, a few options from warmahordes or Etsy stuff from china.
Hello wargamers, are there any other fans of the Berserk manga/ anime in here? If so, have you found war/ skirmish games that scratch that Berserk itch for you? Obviously not how introspective and character driven Berserk is, I mean how over the top gory it is, how it has horrifying demons and depictions of late medieval/ early modern warfare, and of course the feeling of a stone cold motherfucker with a big sword and a cannon hand. I’d love to find the Dragonslayer that hits just the right spot, fellow strugglers!
Hey all
Former 40k/AoS refugee. Got 26 armies for it and generally burned out on the systems.
I'm looking at skirmish games as a cheap investment as I'm getting married. Currently got Arcworlde, star/frost grave, Necromunda, silver bayonet and a war transformed. In terms of massed game stuff, I love firefight and will be playing a lot of that.
What I'm after is recommendations for cheap skirmish games. Preferably with nice rulebooks that aren't silly money.
Does anyone have any recommendations for me?
With BA V3 being a let-down, I finally got serious about finding an alternative rule set. I have had Chain of Command recommended to me before (multiple times, actually), but I finally made the time to dissect the rules... and I love it. But everywhere I turn for more, it seems the party ended and they hung out "closed" signs. The official website crashed and new one doesn't have any of the old documents. The new forum registration procedure is bonkered. The only place you will find any documents is on Facebook, where you will have to download them individually and then figure out what their quality and status is. There is no site, drive or FTP posted anywhere with CoC archives and there are no communities outside the FB one.
What is up? CoC feels like it should be big. Is it really that marginal that I won't find anything? Will anything change with the new version?
Hey! Could you tell me which brands make good Western minis, please?
Thank you all
Hey guys, Looking for suggestions. I don’t personally war game, but i do run a program where we try to get the gamer communities together under one roof every so often.
Affectively, i’m looking for ideas to acquire terrain for relatively cheap. We don’t have the funds to invest.
The intent is to have these available for use for free for everyone whenever we have these gamer nights.
I know it’s a shot in the dark but all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!
