first time voting not really sure how it worked, and realized it got sent to old address. Am i too late to request a new one ????

My friend is from Indiana, but wants to switch his voter registration to NJ, as he’s a student there. Is it too late to switch registration? If not, how would you go about it? Sorry if this isn’t the right subreddit, but wasn’t sure where to go

AHHH help! I moved to NJ from Delaware back in 2023, but I’ve still had my Delaware license this entire time because I haven’t had utilities/anything in my name to get a new license. I checked my registration before the deadline and I made a plan to go to Delaware and vote on the 5th at my old polling place. My status online says inactive, but I was told this just meant I wasn’t eligible for an absentee ballot because I haven’t voted in the last few elections. Are they going to turn me away at my polling place? Please don’t come for me, I’ve never moved states before 😭

Long story short my voting district screwed me and didn’t send me my ballot until the 29th (even though I sent the request for a ballot to them 2nd week of Oct).

Just got my ballot. Where can I drop it off so it is actually picked up? It needs to be in TX by 5pm Tues (I’m on east coast), my local post office is closed until Monday.

If I drop it off in a blue post mail box will it be picked up tmrw? If not what options do I have or am I fucked?

Hi! This was honestly a mistake, we are in California, my husband got them in the mail, put them in a stack of other “important” mail, and lost that stack completely. We have torn the house apart looking for them. What do we do? Can I just show up and vote in person?

Edit: leaving up in case others find the info helpful. I found our ballots. My 6 year old stuffed them into her cubby with other “very important mail.” I feel like whip lash. So glad I found them!

I got my absentee ballot to do it through mail and everything was going well till I got the this slip. In Oklahoma they have you sign an affidavit and it has to be notarized (not sure if this is just something they make you do here or everywhere, it’s my first time voting). I accidentally signed it and realized afterwards that it had to be notarized. I feel like a total moron for this but does anyone know if it’s fixable or if I can somehow still get my vote counted? I emailed my states election board and haven’t received a response.
