sell converted vans

I know that stealth is totally eliminated here, but the back of my CRV isn’t cutting it for two people and a dog and I’m just hoping to save for a better van in the meantime.
Are the miles too high or can the diesel engine reasonably take it?
My cousin owns this van and it has been sitting on his property for years. He says it’s in good shape so I’m debating if I want to make it livable and the try to sell it.
It’s not mine, I know the guy selling it though.
I see folks getting stepvans out of California not able to meet emissions, but when I look at sites like commercial truck trailer I never see any that are reasonably priced, any ideas?
Hey I own a pro master city 2016 I use it for work hvac work sometimes I drive more then work I usually saly do repairs love the gas millage on it but it now has 140k miles and worries me I want to buy another van reliable that will last 250k miles plus if I could get a engine that saves gas I will but reliability and lasting over 200k miles is important any tips
Hi,
I’m making the jump to van life after being interested for a long while and like most feeling gutted by the raising rent cost. So after saving for 2 years, I decided the best course would be to attempt to find a semi or fully converted van that has at least the major components like solar, plumbing, electricity, vent fan, heat and AC, a toilet, storage and a bed. I have a limited budget of 9k and this falls right below at 8,500 and I have a credit card I can use for an additional 4k. The one problem with the van is that it has a blown head gasket and will need a replacement engine. I am waiting to get the quote from the mechanic but was told to budget around 3500. I also asked the mechanic to do a full work up to see if there’s anything else that would be needed.
My family thinks it’s a little beat up however I love it and my mechanic thinks it’s worth it to replace the engine as getting a van and doing it myself can be pricey and will most likely end up being more as I would need to buy supplies and there is a learning curve.
The goal is to put away what I was paying in rent and after a year use as a deposit for home. For context my rent is 2300.
I included a video.
