Uber on!
/r/uberdrivers
It’s just wild to me that people don’t tip on longer trips. I want to throw up. So glad I had the honor of going to the butthole of California for absolutely nothing. A third of the ride was my gas money I made $100 for almost 5hours😂😂 lol
My hours per week since I know someone is going to ask that: 45-52. The $1100 week was 38hrs.
Also I drive a model Y but I don’t do just premium rides. I keep everything but pet on and decline 99.5% of share rides.
Y’all can keep complaining on the SR about not making money, I’ll be out collecting.
As if I wanna smell ts
Hey everyone! Long-time lurker, first-time poster here.
After five years of being a full-time Uber driver, I'm officially hanging up my Uber keys. I just received my first job offer as a high school chemistry teacher, and I’m ready to start this new chapter. I wanted to post here because, honestly, this sub has been a bit of a lifeline during these years.
Driving in Southern California has had its challenges—traffic, high costs of living, and the everyday grind of making ends meet, even with a military pension and VA school funding. Some months were tighter than I’d like to admit, but Uber allowed me to keep food on the table and a roof over my family's head.
Through all the tough days, I’d scroll through here and find comfort in knowing I wasn’t alone. Seeing others vent, joke, and share their experiences made it all feel a bit more manageable, like we were all in it together. So thank you to everyone who shared your frustrations and laughs along the way. You all made a difference, even for someone like me who was mostly just reading.
The last few years, I balanced Uber with getting my teaching credential, often working 40+ hours a week while studying. Now, I finally get to step into the classroom, and I couldn’t be more excited (and nervous).
Thanks again to this amazing community—whether you knew it or not, you all helped me make it through.
I didn’t know this was a thing here but not a bad way to wake up. 😂
getting deeper into the Uber investigations or the destruction of chauffeur services/ black car market…
Didn’t realize how easy it is to fraud America. Uber should actually be considered illegal lol.
I’m a legit Uber black driver.
New info into getting into the system. Fraud your insurance documents. Find a sucker who will put you under their account as a driver. You don’t need to be a legal citizen, you don’t need to worry if you’re a felon on the run. Uber doesn’t care :)
I used to think achieving diamond Uber pro status was insanely difficult. Nope. Learn from all the “New York/ California guys” is what they just said to me lol.
You’re gonna roll back the miles anyhow later on right? Or as I said who cares, you don’t have the $1000 a month insurance policy.
… I can go on and on. It is actually sickening and makes me want to throw up with how corrupt and broken this entire system is I’m figuring out.
spits on this dirty ass company
I’m grateful of how far I’ve come doing this. But it’s sad knowing how fucked and quickly this market is getting. And that it’s only getting worse.
Is this a glitch?
I'm looking at a Ford and thought I better check my sanity. Is it a POS, or will it start Everytime. What's the skinny?
In case of accident, what are the steps. This is hypothetical. Assuming passengers are ok, what should the driver do? Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated.
I am a diamond driver and don’t wait very long to get a ride away from the airport. Why do you guys wait up at the airport for hours on end to get a 20$ ride 30 mile away? I have been up here three times today drive in the waiting lot then I get a hit for a ride. The same three Uber drivers are still waiting up here under a tree haven’t moved all day. Why are you here? Heck the dude with the shitty purple Honda civic got a ride . Why do you wait?????
I used to get the “Do X amount of trips and earn X”
Does this mean if I earn $300 I get $150 bonus?
anyone else had a crazy request like this? maybe i’m tripping but this was a bit ridiculous, im a human being ffs not your free entertainment.
Hello everyone,
It’s nearly the end of the quarter. I have over 1200 points to upgrade to Diamond but my cancellation rate is stuck at 5%. It won’t budge no matter how many orders I do. I’m sure I don’t have over 4% cancellation in my last 200 orders. They should have rolled off by now. In addition, the last order that was cancelled happened because the store was out of stock. Has anyone else have this issue? I suspect that this malfunction is by design. Why else do they hide the information so much? There’s no way to see your cancellations. Uber’s support go-to for dealing with this situation is that the data is “automatic” and we can’t do anything to change it. This is bullshit. They can’t tell you how many trips it’ll take for the next cancellation to roll off.
Do you guys see the destination for your pings before you accept? I have heard that ability is only in certain markets.
we must convince every passenger of this too
Blah blah blah let me drive
Hello I’m a new Uber driver and I can’t seem to turn off auto accept and support doesn’t know how to either, is there a way or is auto accept just built in
I normally get $30/hour but for the past few weeks I’ve been driving more miles for less pay. A 30min trip would normally get me around $15 now it’s around $10-$12. Has this happened for anyone else or is it just me?
