For those who have three or more screens and don't have a sub-reddit that feels like home.
A community for multi-screeners to post about there multiple screens (wallpaper, setup, setup help, rainmetering, and more that I can't think of at the moment). Its a combo of a couple different subreddits like battlestation, wallpaper, askbattlestation, and rainmeter but now for people with 3+ screens in stead of any amount. Dam I wish I knew how to make cool things on subreddits.

Hello there,
I want to set up my triple Screens with Nvidia surround. I have a RTX3070 hooked to 2xG32QC-A and 1xG32WQC(non A) Monitor by Gigabyte. Two Monitors are connected via DP 1.4 and one is connected via HDMI 2.1 since my card only has 2xDP and 2x HDMI Ports.
All Monitors are set to 2560x1440 at 120HZ in Windows 10
My problem:
Surround isnt showing me 1440p ! Its only showing 5760x1080 at 120 hz. Choosing this option and searching for higher resolutions in the "add resolution button" isnt giving me the option for 1440p either.
I've tried the program "CRU" but whatever i change will either have no Impact on Nvidia or CRU wont let me add 2560x1440 at 120 hz in the "Standard resultion block".
What am I missing ? Somebody got a solution for me ?
Next thing I will do is uninstall all Nvidia related drivers and make a fresh instal.
Greetings
if anyone has the same laptop or knows whether i can stick a 1 to 3 hdmi splitter to 3 monitors and it will work let me know and link to page of instructions please, while the 3 monitors are cloned images of laptop when i go to system display it only shows 1/2 monitors so i can't go further..thanks
the 1 in 3 hdmi splitter obviously didn't work i now know and understand i need each monitor to have a cable into a different port, luckily i have a thunderbolt3 port and a mini display port so i bought them 2 cables and connected directly to monitors and the third monitor directly to hdmi port.. nvidia control panal now shows them three monitors and laptop as fourth so now i have to get way out of my comfort zone and try to follow instruction off a youtube video..looking forward to dentist tomorrow more !!
So far, anything suggested by vivo or really most things suggested on amazon seem to not meet my needs.
I am looking to mount 6 PG27AQDM monitors, 3 on the bottom 3 on top. The only thing I've seen that some others with 6+ monitor layouts are individual arms such as this AVLT?
For context I have a fully - Jarvis desk.
First Reddit post! Hope I get this right, and that someone here has the experience and chops to point me in the right direction.
How do I force an external monitor to run at a resolution that isn't presented automatically in the Windows display list - in this case 2560x1600, well within the capability of the screen and display hardware, but the highest resolution shown is 1920x1200.
I have four-screens-plus running most of the time, on a Lenovo P16 laptop with Win11. Three of the external screens are identical Dell U3011 monitors, attached via a Lenovo ThinkPad Universal Thunderbolt 4 Dock (40B0). The screens attached via the dock's two DisplayPort outputs happily run at 2560x1600. However the screen attached via the dock's HDMI will only run at 1920x1200, whether it is attached at the screen end via HDMI input or DVI input with a cable or dongle. When the screen is attached via the laptop's HDMI output, the max selectable resolution might be 1920 or less, depending on the connection type. Again, the hardware should be able to drive 4k.
1920x1200 is actually specified as the limit for the HDMI inputs on the screen, but the DVI and DisplayPort ports are specified as handling and displaying up to 4K.
According to the specs, all the outputs on the Lenovo Dock 4 are good to 4K, even when four screens are run concurrently (ie: three from the dock and the screen on the laptop), so there isn't a concurrency problem.
I've been unsuccessful with the CRU utility, which configures correctly but no extra resolution options appear in the Windows display resolution list. I've also tried various other combinations of cables and adaptors - pretty much everything except USB-C to HDMI, which I don't have handy.
Does anyone have suggestions that I could try?
Greetings fellow nerds,
I'm having trouble with getting 11520 x 2160 resolution across 3 screen in certain games. I've gotten it working in several games with a combination of nvidia control panel, WindowedBorderlessGaming, and config file settings, but at least 2 games have a really weird bug I'm hoping someone can help with.
World of Warcraft and Elite: Dangerous both have an issue with aspect ratio and/or resolution upscaling I think? It's really weird. For both of them, they stretch across all three screens properly only if I set WindowedBorderlessGaming to 10240x1440 resolution. When set to 11520, it's oversized and going off my screens down and to the right, and in the case of WoW just doesn't sustain (blinks and then resets to a smaller resolution).
Nowhere in my nvidia settings etc is anything set to 10240. I noticed that 11520x2160 is exactly 1.78 x 10240x1440, and I've seen some upscaling ratios at 1.78 in various settings but I can't find a setting like this to disable anywhere for WoW, E:D, or windows 10.
Anyone have ideas? I can't tell for sure but I think I'm seeing less pixels because of this. Much appreciate!
Specs: RTX 4090, 13900k (brand new - RMA'd last month due to instability), triple 4k 144Hz GSync monitors on displayport 1.4 cables, windows 10 pro
I have a tripple monitor setup with landscape landscape portrait mode. Does anyone know a website where i can download wallpapers that are devided in 3 parts (one for every monitor) that match? I have found wallpapers for tripple landscape that match but i can’t seem to find any matching ones for my last portrait monitor.
Thanks in advance!!

I have 4 monitors of different sizes as part of my setup running Windows 10. Is there a windows shortcut or 3rd party software shortcut that will allow me to select a program/window and automatically move it from one screen to another (ie from Monitor 1 to Monitor 4) without having to drag it over there or Windows + right/left multiple times to get it to the right screen.
Thanks!
Good day, everyone!
I'm looking for some help on a setup for a work device I need to setup for my office. I need to setup a Windows device at our firm that needs to have 4 monitors. I'm trying to go with a smaller form factor desktop (mainly been looking at Dell) that can support that many monitors, but struggling to find one that has more than 3 ports. Now I'm looking at discrete video cards, but struggling to find one that fits the system that isn't overkill. The only reason we really need the video card is for the multiple displays, not for any additional performance.
I've seen the NVIDIA T1000, just not sure if it will fit in the small form factor Dell Precision/Optiplex line of desktops.
I've also had the though of just daisy chaining the 4th monitor, sind the Dell Precision/Optiplex models have 3 DP ports, but again, not certain if this will work or not.
Thank you in advance for the advice/thoughts!
Hey everyone, I would greatly appreciate advice on a new work & gaming station. I currently have my L desktop, extended into one long desk with my personal on the left and my work laptop attached to two monitors on the right. I slide back and forth between the two but it is kind of annoying and not the most efficient. Current setup is a 32 in curved main monitor, 28 in asus on the left, and old 23.5 in asus on the right. My work station is a 15in laptop, and two hp monitors with one being a docking station as well. 25.25 in and 24.5 in for the size.
Current setup: https://imgur.com/a/dTr5j1E
New things for my workstation:
My thoughts are to stack the two work monitors on the left, keep my main curved monitor in the center then get two or three new monitors to complete the 2 row setup. I'm mainly concerned with what desk and monitor stands to buy for all of this but midi & speakers would also be appreciated.
Have a rog Strix g18. Does anyone make a triple screen add on that matches the screens on lap top. Just now found out they made triple screen options
Selling my Quest 2 as I want to try a triple monitor set up and as my first instinct was cost over homework...... that was an Offerup/ open box/ Samsung S32c394ean32" with a 1000R Curvature (for a great price) screen
So as this is my starting point what should use for the two side screens do I continue with two of the same or would wide flat screens be the way to go.
I hate to look for the easy way out but if anyone could point me to options for the other screen I would be grateful.
I am also selling the Logitech gear for a Fanatic set up so the sim rig is going to be reengineered in the coming months to accept the upgraded gear
BTW this is the1st sim build which worked great with the Quest 2 and a next level racing Motion platform simple and effective for fun driving obviously it needs improvement for the future.
I'm glad I found this sub. My current setup is 2x PC's (two keyboards, two mice, etc.) with 6x 21.3" eizo S2133-BK monitors. I have it setup 3x wide, 2x tall like this. I'm having issues with the square monitors. It's all just really old hardware and the resolution gives me trouble with some websites and applications.
I'm looking to get widescreens and I'm torn between K.I.S.S. and just go buy 6x 24" monitors... Or should I do something like that giant Dell 43" monitor that supposedly splits into 4x screens?
One of my biggest concerns is screen sharing and remote desktop sessions. Right now I use RDP and VNC a bunch, and I'm often on a call where I need to share screens. That's perfect now because I can rdp into a machine, share that screen, and still have a ton of extra space for other things. Windows RDP doesn't really like to do the whole split-screen thing... And I don't mind split-screen if the monitor is big enough, but I feel like with a 27" monitor we have, full-screen is a bit of a waste for some things, but split-screen is a little too narrow for two web-browser sessions.
What's a good balance going from 6x 21" square monitors to 3-4-5-6 widescreens? I was thinking maybe three: Two on the right in landscape and one on the left in portrait mode. Or maybe four: Two on the right landscape and two on the left that are 2x smaller 24" monitors.
I'm also a little OCD: I'd like the whole thing to be square/rectangle. I really don't want different sizes and lines that dont't match up, etc.
If possible, I would prefer not to use nvidia surround
Hey all.
Looking for a setup for productivity, which is mainly IT support/excel, screen sharing, a bit of dev work.
Currently have 1 X 38" screen and whilst it's good for most things, I miss having multiple screens properly segregated. Also on a work laptop can't use power tools.
At my office desk I have 2 X 27" screens and I feel that's not quite enough, hence looking at 3 X screens.
Considering either 24" or 25" so the peripheral view isn't too crazy.
Ideally all one usb-c, will be using a MacBook Pro and a Dell laptop (separately)
Any thoughts on hardware/Res?
I looked at the dell 2534 for example and many others.
Thanks v much
I need a Bezel-Free Kit for a triple 31.5" R1000 monitors(MSI MAG325CQRF QD) setupSomething similar to thisAmazon.com: ASUS ROG Bezel-Free Kit ABF01 Universal Multi-Monitor Setup with Optical Micro-structures Easy Assembly (Set of 2) : Electronics
or how can I build one
a way to change the settings of the shortcut Win + P ?
I don't see any way to change theses options and the "PC screen only" seem refer to the screen #1 and "Second screen only" refer to the screen #3 even my screen #2 is check as my main windows …
Someone have a way to change those settings ? the goal is switch to my main screen only when I play some big AAA game, to gain some FPS because is already an ultrawide screen !
I'm planning a three monitor setup, a couple of 27s and an ultrawide (probably a 34 unless the price on the 38s collapses, lol?). I want to have the two floating over the ultrawide but damned if I can find anything searching "2-over-1" or "Inverted Pyramid Mount". Does this thing exist and I'm just searching for the wrong term? Would I be better off keeping the two on one arm (probably a tall mount) and the ultrawide on a single-mount (probably regular height)?
Thank you!
Hello, I am new to this and trying to set up my laptop with 2 other monitors. The laptop is an older HP 15. I bought my 2 monitors and realized the type C port is data only and does not support display. Is there anything else I can buy to bypass that? please help.
thank you!
Hello,
I've dell latitude 3400 at my work and wanted to use 3 monitors (1x vga, 2x hdmi)
I requested Usb-c hub from it, which is baseus 9in1 with 1x hdmi and 1x vga ports.
I connected all monitors but vga and hdmi had mirroring so it was like 'abb'.
When I plug off integrated hdmi it goes back to 'ab' through usb-c hub. I couldn't make 'abc' and still have 1 dead monitor on my desk.
Any ideas to make it work in some way?
Hi! I have a 3 monitor setup [ ][ ][ ] with adjacent curved 2560 x 1440p monitors. Sometimes I like to use NVIDIA's Surround feature to combine all displays into one ultrawide 7680 x 1440 for fullscreen applications to enable immersive gameplay or design. However my common use case is that my center screen is my "work" screen and the side screens are informational aides.
The current process is to enable surround when I want to use it and disable it when I don't, but this isn't ideal as I have to open various menus and click various settings and wait. I'd be much happier if I could set "templates" to swap between that carry over the information so that switching is a matter of 2-3 buttons rather than 2-3 different menus with subcategories that have to be set independently each time.
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way where I can utilize Windows' multiple desktops / multitasking features to have virtual desktop 1 configured for my main use case and virtual desktop 2 configured to be extended so all I have to do is swap between virtual desktops to have my video settings the way I'd like them.
Also, if windows and NVIDIA don't allow for this natively (I suspect they don't based on my testing) does anyone know if there's a decent third party software that would enable this with a fairly simple process?
Thanks in advance! I'm hoping you guys can help me but if this is the wrong place please direct me to a better one. Thanks again!
Hey guys, I'm trying to get a triple monitor setup to work in kind of a scuffed manner. Let me explain.
I have a laptop for which I'm trying to get an additional 2 monitor output out. It is a modern laptop with 2 usbc ports and 2 usb a ports. I am using a dock that has an HDMI output along with 3 usb ports.
That HDMI is going to my main monitor. This works completely. In addition, I have a USB type 3 B port to use the additional 2 USB ports on the monitor. The monitor also has HDMI, VGA, and DisplayPort, along with the USB 3 type B.
However, this is where I am running into problems. I am trying to use a 3rd monitor with it. I cannot connect this third monitor to my laptop because the dock I am using only has 1 HDMI output and I don't have another USBC to HDMI adapter. This third monitor is a bit older with an HDMI, VGA, and DVI.
Basically, I cannot get this triple monitor setup to work. I have a few HDMI cables, a micro HDMI to HDMI cable, a displayport to displayport cable, a vga to vga cable, and the aforementioned usb 3 type b cable. I was wondering if any of yall knew any method to get this third monitor working.
Again, thanks for reading and trying to understand my problem.
Hi All,
Was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for what to do. More a problem-solving thought experiment than an actual request for help. I believe my situation is too niche to be able to get help for.
I'm looking to upgrade from my current 3 identical looking 24" (2x60Hz, 1x144Hz) monitors by adding a new primary 32" monitor. I will move the 144Hz monitor from its current display cable to an HDMI cable as it will no longer be the primary and limiting it to 60Hz will be fine.
Graphics card has 3 Display ports and 1 HDMI, otherwise I would have all 4 monitors on Display Port.
As this would no longer look the same as the others, I would ideally have the 3 smaller monitors above this new larger primary monitor. Ideally, would do it this way to keep the primary monitor at a good viewing angle.
I cannot however find a stand that supports this. All 3+1 stands I have been able to find have the 3 below the +1 rather than above.
I am using a large corner desk at this time, facing the room, not the wall. This makes a stand with 2 bases unusable for me. This has removed some 6 monitor stands from my options list.
Hope this problem tickles someone's fancy, and while I don't think it will help me anytime soon. Perhaps it might help someone else with a similar issue in the future.
Thanks,
smoze
