I'm trying to watch S5 of the last ship but HBO only has seasons 1-4 and prime says it has it but it's unavailable. Why is that? And where can I watch season 5?
IMDb ratings are high. Can't figure out why.
Where can i watch in australia?
So basically Season 3 ends with the coup, the President escapes St. Louis and the Peng/Anticure threat destroyed. Season 4 starts with a whole new plant virus threat. Was there something I missed where they beat Shaw and the regional governors? Or did they just skip over/cancel that whole plot line. I noticed it jumps to 19 months later or something.
Baltimore has a grotesque way of getting rid of them (it works I guess), but for so many towns and cities I wonder where the bodies are. In many mass deaths this becomes a huge problem: morale, sickness, rodents, smell, etc. The other problem is civil services (garbage, power, infrastructure, etc). Avengers actually shows this well at times after Thanos (I know made at a later time). First time watching this, so not sure if they show this better later on.
Please, no spoilers, I've started watching season 5, but I now read that the serie was discontinued (lets pretend I was under a rock, I purposely never check for news on tv shows because I end up getting spoilers and I don't like knowing what happens next before watching it), and I want to know if the season 5 ends with a cliffhanger or not, if there's a big cliffhanger, I will stop watching the serie right now at episode 1 of the season 5, I'm not a fan of what is going on (I avoid spoiling it for anyone)
Cossetti's death was the crews' fault. Yes, he and some mates wanted off the ship at some point, but they shouldn't have held it against him like that. Most of us would have wanted off a ship that was taking us nowhere.
Instead of showing him some grace, they guilted him to the point that he had to overcompensate and died proving an unnecessary point.
It did annoy me when they pretended to care for him after he died, when all they ever did was yell at him as a form of "tough love".
Anyone else notice the hand jester to viva Tavo is a little nazi like
Surely in the centuries of warfare that flares have been used, there has been scenarios where the enemy have captured them, figured out the flares, and like el toro, correctly guessed the system. So why not come up with an alternative?
I’m sure there are even better systems, but just off the top of my head, but if everything is ok, send a flare only on the hour or half hour increments. If everything is fine, you can wait 30 minutes. If things blow up. You’d only have to wait a minute before sending up the flare to indicate problems.
Sure there is a 1 in 30 chance that the bad guys will send it up on the hour/half hour, but that is still much better chance than the 1 in 2 chance that they currently used, which as shown isn’t even 1 in 2 as it was obvious to el toro.
Seasons 1 & 2 were great. Show started becoming progressively bad from season 3. Kinda became a drag in season 5.
From S3 onwards, Amazon prime doesn't show subtitles for conversation in Chinese or Japanese, does anyone know a solution to it? Even the subtitles file(.txt) i searched online show blank spaces there... A few times by toggling the subtitles language to my home langauge I was able to see the text but it's just too irritating.. Any better alternative?
So I have watched this whole series twice (once during the COVID lockdown, once later) and now again and each time it amazes me to what level of brilliance and perfection the directors thought just amazing loved it! My fav of all time. But season 2 bought a hell lot of unexpected turns, among which the most shocking were death of Rachel,Lt.chung and Ravit... Man damn they didn't have to kill this fellas... Also i didn't understand the conversation in the end S2 ep 13 b/w Rachel and Chandler.
I’m watching on MAX and it stops at season 4. Even Amazon Prime won’t show it.. just says season 5 is “not available in your region”. Anyone know where to find it?
I may be very oblivious here but, why did they not renew for S6 if they just left the finale of S5 so widely open for it to continue? Did they ever release a reason or was it just because post S3 views plummeted?
I just started watching the show. I absolutely loved seasons one and two. Third season was pretty weak over all. Just started season 4 and I’m like…what is this? Is it getting better or will it continue downhill from here?
How come Rhona Mitra, didn't come back to the finale?!!!! I mean Alot of guests appeared in the finale even Tex appeard so why didn't Rachel??! and it's not like the writers didn't have a place for her in the episode cause we literally saw her from her back walking in the ship in the last scene and heard her voice so CLEARLY they had a place for her, the only explanation I have is that there was bad blood between them 😥 , any thoughts?
If anyone intrested its the samsung 990c sound bar. The sound track is really good allot of deep bases
When Fletcher and his other UK dude caused the deaths of 6 soldiers on The Last Ship and dude was about to jump with the seeds that are the last resort for saving humanity Sasha asks him to stop but pointing the gun but doesn't shoot, she let's her boyfriend escape!!!
What baffles me is Tom Chandler notices it and doesn't seem to question her about why she didn't shoot? That made Sasha's character look bad for me and that scene was pointless, looks like Tom and Sasha seems to be getting along again, I'm still in the season so far 🤷
when they first meet the russian ship they 'sneak' away.
Aight, but how is a piece of tinfoil picked up by the enemy radar but the giant ship is not? Sure they turn of their electronics and radar but...the tinfoil doesnt have any of that either?
And when they blow up the ship with the little boat, they send out a boat to recover them... recover them where? The enemy didnt see that tiny boat on radar? They saw the one from the beach.
this show is pretty cool I like the dog
I'm sure it's been discussed many times, but I'm on my 11th rewatch and I just can't get over it. What Rachel did to Niels was just so wrong. Captain Chandler was right to bring charges against her. What was she thinking? I mean, Niels died way way too fast! 😂
Okay so I’ve just finished season two, watching for the first time, and I was HOOKED. But as soon as Dr Scott died, they lost me. Does it get better? I’m 4 episodes into season 3 and I’m so bored with the way this story is going 🙈 Should I hang in there?
Anyone figured out where to watch season 5 in the US? Amazon prime is detecting vpns so I can't do that
Is it just me or are the regional leaders and people driving the coup written like cartoon villains? It's really hard to take them seriously.
Also I can't believe how many chances they had to kill that blonde psychopath and end it, but just didn't for random nonsensical reasons.
Imagine - create your captain, select basic crew and armament. Explore the world, train your crew, upgrade and repair the ship, send rhibs and helo out for supplies, explore a randomly generated world. Fight more difficult enemies and face more severe conditions deeper you go. Any indie devs who want to make an idler roguelike game like this feel free to take this idea😂
Hi! Does anyone know of a book that's similar to the show? I know it's all based on the novel by William Brinkley, but that one doesn't have the pandemic angle or scientists on board.
What I'm looking for is - navy ship, some scientists on it, and a problem that warrants their presence on the ship. (and maybe a book that lacks all the weird "oh my, females on the ship, how unsettling" mentality that the last ship book has)
Thanks in advance!
