Removed phone off wifi, any help?

The app somehow let me pause the WiFi on my device (phone) that I am currently using, the only phone logged in to the account and able to change pauses. I can’t connect anymore to unpause myself and can’t log in on another device currently. To be clear, the whole service ISNT paused, just my one device. Any help? Thanks!

Picking up from Fedex Onsite (ID and Address requirement when I don't live at the service address yet)

So, I'm moving soon for work for a temporary job so my address on my ID is still tied to my actual home. I wanted to be able to pickup the starlink package as soon as I got there so I'm not 2 weeks without internet.

The shipping address is the FEDEX onsite facility address and the service address is a place nearby that I have no ties to. As in, I don't get a contract or payment history.

With that being said, I got a text from Fedex that I need my ID with a matching address but I don't know what address I would even have to match to. If I put the shipping address to the facility then what address would starlink put on the package? The service address? The billing address?

What can I do if its the service address and I have no proof of living there?

Can I keep my account with latest gen?

I have had on going issues with my current Starlink, support is not existent and after 4 weeks support tells me it’s the cable, turns out the issue remains and it is the dish that is faulty. Begrudgingly I just purchased another dish myself, because support are going to take weeks to get back to me. Question: can I just transfer my existing account to the new dish?

Two things keeping me from pulling the trigger

A victim of Frontier Communications, I'm hoping to switch to Starlink, but there are two things standing in the way.

  1. I'm on a ridge, but there are trees around, and while I have a lot of sky I don't know if I have enough. I understand there is an app that could help with this, but I have no truck with Google and the Aurora store doesn't list it. Is there a way to d/l it direct from Starlink? I'd like to know Starlink will work here before I fork over the bread.

  2. I do not use credit cards because I don't spend money I don't have. Is there any other method of payment -- direct from bank account, PayPal -- available?

Thanks in advance.

Starlink won't save my payment info

I put in my card info it jumps to my bank page sends an otp code I enter hit save. It deducts money from my account, 100 peso or about 2usd.

But after saving back on the payment page the card info is gone again. I feel tired of it

I don't want to manually make payments how can I get it save

Starlink 250ft away

Hi, I need to mount my starlink 250 ft away on a shed. The shed has power and I have a weatherproof box for the power supply and router. Wondering what people have tried and had success with.

Would you run a cat 7 ethernet back to the house from the starlink router?

Would you run single mode fiber optic?

Would you do a point to point?

The three above would connect to a deco mesh system. My main concern is not loosing too much strength.

Do a starlink mesh system? I should be able to connect from the shed to the master bedroom in the house and add a starlink router for a mesh system.

Or would you try a poe with the starlink power supply and router in the house and run the ethernet from the router in the house through the poe to the dish?

Thank you!

Guesthouse - 600 ft away with no cable jack- HELP!

Hi all- hoping for advice on how to get better signal in my guesthouse about 600 ft Away.

Info

  • We have starlink gen 3.
  • the guesthouse has power but no cable jack for a 2nd router
  • we’ve tried a different router (TPlink) and it’s almost worse
  • we have an extender but coverage randomly goes in and out
  • we only have 1 connection in the house where we can connect starlink/the router. No ability into main house to add another router somewhere closer to the guesthouse

Options:

  • A) have someone install a cable jack in guest house and add a router
  • B) run a cable out to the guest house which would SUCK because it would have to cross multiple driveways of ours
  • C) something else?

to barn 800 ft away

I have researched this topic here, and what I take away is that to set up service to the barn (has full elect) from the house - gen 2 - is the following:

I run Cat6 unshielded ethernet cable, buried 100 feet to woods and then above ground 600 ft and then buried 100 feet to barn.

Should all cable be in pic or is it ok as is?

My big question is, how to I make the cable connections? The router does not have any ports.

I thought I would have connected to this router and purchased another for the barn, but how to connect the 2?

Thank you for your time and expertise!

Router is toast???

Hi everyone

So I was just doing my regular stuff on my pc today and then boom, power went out. Turn out it was just that circut of the house, so I switched back on and all was good.... except the internet. I checked out my router and there's no light. Tried different wall plugs, a cable that matched the connection, did the factory reset, left it unplugged for a few hours but nothing. Is my router toast?

Update: support got back to me and said that I was right, router power supply is cupoot. I had already ordered the gen 3 which they were happy with. Thank you guys for the tips and replies :)

Starlink turns offline

Hello there

I have starlink gen2 in bypass mode connected directly to mikrotik . My plan was roam and it was working for 1 year without any internet disconnection issues only the speed was very very poor .
2 months ago my country became approved so we decided to change the service location to my country which changed my plan also from roam to residential .

During the changing the app asked me to install the new update . After installing finished I noticed that the speed became more stable and more faster . but the internet goes offline every 2 or 3 days max . until I do reboot for the router to be online again for 2 or 3 days max and so on .

I am confused now ,is this issue because of the plan changing or because of the new starlink updates that I did earlier.

Any one experience this issue ?

How long does it take to get a response to a support ticket?

I opened a ticket with Starlink support on Nov 3 and it doesn’t seem like anyone has even acknowledged it. Is this typical for their support model?

Austria

Hi! I just bought a system in Belgium. It is for use in our holiday home in Austria. I registered in Belgium for my company. The seller told me it was no problem and that I could use it in in Austria. But no! I cannot change the country where I use it! And I have to wait 120 days before I can change that! And no support person-to-person to be able to do that. Anyone can help? Thanks!

I bought it recently and yesterday during a storm it completely stopped working

It doesn't seem to be receiving power, I've tried factory resetting it, leaving it unplugged, doing basically anything that I could find with a Google search, and it still isn't working, is there any solution or do I have to wait for my support ticket to go through?

Starlink Roam Unlimited Mobile Priority 50gb for Plane?

As the title says.

I’m installing it temporarily in a small airplane and starlink Roam TOS is 100mph max.

What I’ve been searching the Mobile Priority 50gb is that it can actually be used in a plane?

While I realize the GB will be capped it will actually work above 100mph.

Anyone have any experience with it?

Question on extended connection

I need my Starlink cord to go just over 200 feet in order to get adequate internet access. As someone who lives in the woods as well as is a novice when it comes to all of this, is it possible to use knockoff Ethernet cords to get the job done? Any help would be appreciated!

0.00% Ping Success on the Gen 3 Router

I just got a starlink standard kit today and tried to set up the internet. It seems like the dish can connect with satellite just fine. However, the app shown as offline with no internet when I connect to the wifi.

The dish ping success is 99% but the router got 0.00%

The router also got 100% ping drop rate
Cable ping drop rate is 0%

Is this a router issue?

(I tried all the basic troubleshooting like factory reset and etc already) - Now waiting for support to get back to me but I think my chance is better here
