Hey! I recently got back to the game and have been taking things slowly. Now Im starting to build my outposts. I havent messed with mods yet. Is there a good one that adds more variety to outpost decoration and modules? Im looking for things like showers, doors if possible, toilet cabins, that kind of stuff. Thanks
So I just started a "Can you play Starfield as an average citizen run" for my YT channel, and HOLY S**T is it far more challenging than I originally thought. It's got me pulling strings and grasping at straws to acquire money and level up!
A lot of you may have seen me post my main character massive outpost network in here before https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/1gb8n3p/comment/ltu6r9e/?context=3 . The goal is as an average citizen, to follow this model as closely as I can, but WOW is it challenging without killing/stealing for $$.
The rules are NO KILLING and NO STEALING while playing w/ survival settings and very hard difficulty, and as a Freestar native, limited to Freestar space (for outposts). I didn't realize how much you take killing/looting/stealing for granted until it's no longer a factor in a run.
I'm essentially relying solely on getting outposts set up ASAP, however until I start producing the main resources for OP building, the startup costs are extreme as a new character which has made things super interesting! Going to be relying HEAVY on adaptive frame fabrication for $$ early on.
Has anyone else did a run similar such as a no kill run? How the hell did you level up? In order to pull this off I'm going to have to hammer the science tree but gaining levels is a damn slog! I feel like I may have to cheese adaptive frames at the workbench for levels.
If you were to build an outpost purely of looks and not resources then what would you go for?
Still lots to do, but heres the current situ
Ok so this seems to be lacking in outpost design. I had a few designs in mind that I've had to scrap because I can't find stairs or platforms anywhere in the build menu.
Platform as in an open walkway over a building etc. They are on countless POIs or us it like many other Bethesda games that most of what you see in towns you can't build?
So I’ve never built an outpost before. I’m level a 43. If I start building outpost will I still have to go farm resources and hide them on my ship that doesn’t have enough storage space? Does building an outpost help me level up? Also what is the purpose of the outpost? How does an outpost assist you all in your experiences with the game?
So pretty much what the title says but when I travel close to my outpost it comes up but the beacon doesn’t appear what can I do I got a lot of hours in building it
I would love to have seen the crew from my ship get OFF of my ship and explore the outposts. Since I'm mostly married to Sam, it would be neat to have little Cora enjoy her room I built (and will rebuild again due to a glitch deleting everything in her room). I mean even airport crew get their own rooms LOL why not our ship crews? I would have gone mad if I was stuck on a ship 24/7 that isn't in space... just sayin. I think that would be a neat thing. Like an outpost mod for ship crewmates to disembark and go to their quarters in the outpost to unwind and relax and do their job there until we are ready to head out. Make it more real. or am I completely wrong on that aspect?
