Thoughts on Unser?

I go back and forth with how I feel about him. The first few seasons I felt bad for him because it was obvious no one really actually cared about him. I say that because in season 3 when he did tell Clay and Gemma that he has to be a cop for a while, and when the clubhouse got raided, Gemma scolded him and said that's how you lose friends.

BUT!!! Tara would be alive had he not went blabbering to Gemma when he said that Jax made a deal. I don't really complain too much about the storytelling but the way they wrote Unser to act like he had no idea why Gemma killed Tara kind of bothered me. When Gemma came to him after killing Tara, Unser should have known exactly what just happened. And in season 7 (Red Rose) he asks Gemma why she killed Tara. Like.....dude, you caused this!!

Do y'all really think.....

that even if Gemma knew about the deal that Jax made to protect Tara she was still gonna just accept it? I doubt it. Knowing Gemma's character, she'd still be pissed and resentful towards Tara because it meant Jax would be going to prison for a long time. Her little prince would no longer be at the head of the table, she'd lose her power, and Tara planned on leaving town with the boys. Gemma would believe that Tara would never let her see the boys again and would probably attempt something to either slow her down or prevent her from leaving. Remember that animosity was still there from the fake miscarriage and arrest. Just my theory. I don't think it would have ended well, either way.

My favorite scene from SOA (season 7)

So I saw someone else talk about their favorite scene from “suits of woe” that’s was juice confessing to Jax about what really happened to Tara, my favorite scene from the show also takes place in this episode and though it’d be interesting to share.

My fave scene that in my opinion was one of the best scenes for the end of the show was Jax telling Nero about what happened to Tara, and Jax breaking down about it. You could see the turmoil he was in mentally and how heavy this hung over his head, the fact his own mother hurt his wife and love of his life, in Jax’s own words: "That's the part that hurts the most about all this. After everything she did, all the lies and death and wreckage, I still love her. She's my mom. How could she do this to Tara?". The quote that always makes me cry is him saying he still loves his mom, after everything that is still his mom.. as someone that has gone through personal turmoil about my father I felt those words to my core.

But that’s all I wanted to say. Sorry if this sounds rambly or something, or didn’t make much sense, I do suck at grammar and just wanted to share just how much I think Charlie did a great job with this scene.

Clay

Why does it take everyone so long to see through Clay’s BS. I get the brotherhood thing but he’s scum.

Gemma

Has a fictional character ever caused as much damage as Gemma teller? Even outright villains have never caused so much trouble to the shows protagonists.

She killed her daughter in law and effectively killed John, clay, Bobby, Unser and Jax.

Gemma

So I just got done rewatching Sons of Anarchy, from the beginning Kurt wrote Gemma to be the queen/mother of the MC, more than just an Old Lady. The writing is good the way it is. But what's everyone's opinions on how the series/ending would have went if she was written differently?

Character Attachment

Diving back into "Sons of Anarchy" for a second time didn't dilute the intensity of the experience; it was like reopening a book whose ending you know by heart, yet the journey still shakes you to the core. Every spoiler known didn't soften the impact; it was a visceral ride from start to finish. As the last episode drew to a close, I found myself enveloped in a sea of tears, a testament to the show's unparalleled power to evoke such deep emotions.

There's something inexplicably magical about how the show weaves its narratives, crafting characters that grow on you in ways you didn't anticipate. It's astonishing, really, how it cultivates a profound connection between you and each character, spanning from the likes of DA Patterson to Jax. It's a rare feat, making every moment, every twist, feel intensely personal.

When it was all over, a void yawned open within me, echoing the sense of loss one feels when something profoundly beautiful concludes. It felt akin to a breakup, albeit less severe yet poignant in its own right—a part of my daily ritual, a source of anticipation and joy, had vanished. My mind would wander, revisiting each character's arc, lingering on what could lie ahead for Nero, Wendy, and the others, deepening the sense of loss.

The show's portrayal of brotherhood, loyalty, and the raw realities of their lives struck a chord, mirroring the complexities of real-world relationships. It was as if the line between their world and mine blurred, making me feel like an honorary member of their tight-knit community. At times, the desire to comfort Chucky, to acknowledge his struggles and triumphs, felt overwhelmingly real.

This outpouring of thoughts is my way of grappling with the show's ending—beautiful yet heartrending, leaving a plethora of unanswered questions and what-ifs. The void left by the show's conclusion, the yearning to know more about the characters' fates, and the unresolved futures of the club, Abel, and Thomas—it's a lot to sit with.

If you've felt this profound emptiness, this blend of sadness and admiration, after the final credits rolled, know that you're not alone. I'm right there with you, hoping for answers we may never get, mourning the end of a journey that felt all too real.

Thank you for sharing this moment of reflection with me. May your week be filled with moments that move you, just as "Sons of Anarchy" has moved us.

PS: If anyone wants to talk about the shows and their favourite moments, characters, their versions of their why's, but's, the how's, etc. Please send me a message!!

Question reguarding Jax Man of Mayhem patch

Ever since his first appearance, Jax uses the "man of Mayhem" patch on his cut, but two moments makes me confused, Tig says to Clay that he doesn't trust Jax when it's comes to pull a trigger, and when Jax visits Abel/Tara at the hospital he says "I never killed someone like this", but iirc, the Man of Mayhem patch it's exclusively to members that already have killed someone for sake of the club. anyone have noticed this already?

Just noticed

On my 100th or so rewatch. In Season 2, when Jax, Opie, Chibs and Tig are scoping out the Mayan dealer that Clay pinned Donna’s murder on, the school is the same as the one that has the school shooting in Season 6

Do you think Bobby would have stopped Jax from killing Darvany?

This is something I wish I got to ask Kurt but my dumb ass completely forgot about it 😭 gonna be kicking myself in the ass for the rest of my life. Anyways, at this point, Bobby had left to recruit for Samcro and because Jax was making questionable decisions (in Bobby’s mind.) but I always wondered what his thought process would have been on this.

911 show

Just starting watching 911 on Hulu. Actors who play Roosevelt and Henry Lin are both main characters. I like when I see actors from my favorite show working together again.

When Juice confesses to Jax about Tara...

I've mentioned before that this was definitely one of my favorite episodes (season 7 "Suits of Woe")

This scene has always been a favorite of mine because of a few reasons:

Even with everything, Jax still relied on Juice and asks if he believed what Lin told him about Charlie selling them out.

And the main reason I liked this so much, is while Juice has zero chance of survival (regardless if he deserved it or not), Jax was kind of at the mercy of Juice for the truth and it showed with the way he asked and was pretty much begging him for answers.

Just Jax listening to the horrible way Tara was taken out and that it was his mom that did it and building up to that awesome cry scene was amazing!

Then the dynamic shifted from Juice being in control of the conversation to Jax telling him what his story costed the club AND telling him he is going to die.

Most of this seems very subtle, but like I said, these 2 absolutely slayed this scene!!

Tara makes my fucking blood boil

Okay, im up to season 4 and I can’t stand how god damn stupid she is. Her character is presented as this capable surgeon but yet she is incapable of making rational decisions.

Season 1. When she calls Jax instead of the police after shooting Kohn in what was arguably the most straight forward case for self defense. All they had to do was lie and say Tara shot Kohn twice. That was it.

Season 3. When she gets kidnapped. She kills the female kidnapper and instead of shooting that male gangster dead, she check notes …goes to a remote location with him?

Season 3. The fact that Jax cheats on her is completely glossed over, but I’ll chalk that to the fact that Abel was missing.

Season 3. When she physically assaults the hospital admin because the admin caught Tara doing something illegal?

Season 4. Don’t get me started on these god damn letters. The SECOND Jax walked through the door she should have given them to him. Those letters were addressed to Jax, not her. Her nosy ass decided to take it upon herself to get involved in a murder mystery involving check notes …violent criminals?

I hate writing that propels the story forward by making the characters devoid of sense.

Watching for the first time, and just now starting the episode where Opie dies (I can’t handle suspense so I’ve pretty much spoiled the whole show for myself lol)😮‍💨 idk if I’m mentally prepared to go through the heartbreak lmao.

S3 Episode 1 ending

So I have some questions about the part where Jax starts slamming the Mexicans head. It feels like the shift in character to become a more brutal version. Was it ever discussed or thought about by the director. I’m just imagining a Jax so full of rage like in season 6 and 7, but as VP instead. I don’t think Clay would’ve survived as long as he did afterward if the shift I’m imagining had happened. What do you guys think???

(I’ve watch all of SoA and I’m in season 3 of Mayan. I’m just rewatching Sons now.)

Suits of Woe

I am watching Suits of Woe. I realized that last conversation Jacs has with Juice they are both just dead men talking. They are each just confirming for the other their mistakes are too big they can come back from it.

Why is there such a contrast for the love of season 7 between here and TikTok

TikTok swears season 7 is the best season of television that it’s the best season easily but here and most people say season 7 is one of the worst and not good at all. Doesn’t make sense how opinions differ so much by platforms.

Why do you think Frankie didn’t kill chibs?

Not that I wanted him to, don’t get me wrong. But he’s so quick to kill others I’m just wondering why so much hesitation with chibs? Or it just good old plot armor seeing as chibs ends up as president by the end of the series?
