my favourite songs are day is gone & family by noah gunderson. and favourite scenes are when samcro meets aj weston in that shootout and the niners & chinese come out or when juice confesses to jax. honourable mention: jax finding tara dead.
jax or ez?
I just finished watching the series for the first time and I don’t really understand the significance of the homeless lady that kept popping up throughout the series. I officially noticed her during that one episode when Jax is talking to the young lady’s father who threw a wrench in Scoop’s window, and Jax is trying to figure out the beef the teenager has with the club. Then he mentions her mother passed away and they show a picture. That’s the first time I notice the homeless lady. At first I thought it was the teenager’s mother and she wasn’t actually dead and the club was going to help her out in some way but then they didn’t do anything with her. She just kept showing up. She kept showing up when trouble arose or when death was about to happen. Especially in the finale episode when Jax is going on a murder spree in order to gain the cop’s attention so he could off himself. She showed up and gave him a blanket that he covered himself with so he could shoot August Marks without being seen by him first.
Another thing I don’t quite get in relation to the homeless lady is the bread in the finale. What does this represent? It’s shown after the homeless lady walks off and it’s shown with a bottle of wine and then when Jax dies and the series ends it’s shown again with wine soaking the middle. Then crows come. I read something online about how this is a religious reference and the crows are the club and the bread represents Jax’s body, aka when Jesus says the bread represents his body, etc, and you usually eat pieces of wafer in reference to this in church. Does anyone think this actually is a religious reference?
As the club is getting ready to leave to make the deal with the Russians to get Jimmy, they have Tara joining along to drive the getaway car. And they show Jax putting a bulletproof vest on and ask Tara if she's sure about helping them and that he could get a prospect to take her place. She replies "you know you need me" and "she's the only one who can do this". What I don't understand is why is she necessary for the plan? All she did was drive the car back to the club house after they move Jimmy from the van. They could have had anyone else drive, I just don't get why they needed her specifically.
I'm doing a rewatch and am currently on season 6. There's a part where Wendy buys what looks like a large red gumball from a guy on the street. What is it? I'm pretty drug naive aside from weed. Later we see the ball broken up and she's shooting up.
i’ll go first , mine is when gemma asks clay to let kyle come to the fundraiser and when she finally convinced him she says i love you and he says “ that love is gonna kill me “ he wasn’t wrong .
Hello everyone! Currently rewatching SOA for the 4th time. I came to an interesting realization. During season 1, Gemma is concerned that Tara is going to pull Jax away from SAMCRO. Towards the beginning, it looks like that could potentially happen as he is trying to adjust his moral compass in a more positive direction. However, when Tara and Jax shot Agent Kohn, it seemed to throw him back into the club. Essentially killing Kohn made him realize that as much as he may think he wants to, he is not going to be able to truly break free from that outlaw lifestyle. He even said to Tara after he shot Kohn that he had never killed a man like that before. I really feel like that kill pushed him further into SAMCRO than he maybe would have been had it not happened. So essentially while Gemma is freaking out over Tara pulling Jax away, she may have essentially aided in pushing him further in. I always love rewatching and finding out/realizing new things about the show!
In the final fight between the two, what if the results were reversed? Would Gemma go to jail? How would Jax React? Nero? What stuff would have been different?
Anyone else notice when Jax gets out of prison he never wears light blue jeans again. He always wore light blue jeans white t-shirt
have any of you checked out mayans mc? If so, what's your opinion on the spinoff?
I just realized this yesterday but if you think about it, SAMCRO is relatively small compared to some other chapters and constantly need help. I remember some episodes where they visit other chapters and they have at least 12 guys.
I mean, by no means am I an expert on the topic but from what I understand after from some research, a chapter of e.g is normally larger depending on the region.
I’m sorry but Ashley tisdale is an escort in sons??? I about died I was like SHARPAY?? IS THAT YOU lmao such a surprise
When Jax and Clay worked out a deal in regarding to the closure of the Cartel business, Jax ALMOST got out of SAMCRO.
What if he did? What would have happened?
Presumably, he would have had to black out ALL his ink, correct? Or would he keep it on if he's put on Reserves or something?
Gemma- the whole reason I watched the show
Tara- depressing, wanna be Gemma. Honestly I think they should have killed her off earlier. Like when Jax first thought she was killed. She seemed boring, never smiled, was always sad looking. Seemed to have no personality
Clay - Solid until he hurt Gemma, but I almost forgave him bc idk. Him and Gemma were great together. I was really invested in them.
Jax- omg what a piece of shit. He's so pathetic it's embarrassing. The last 3 seasons were hard to get through. He even killed himself and they gave Juice sooo much shit for almost killing himself saying "sons don't kill themselves." Jax is the biggest hypocrite. He sleeps around or kills when he's having a emo kid moment. Never listens to anyone's advice. Everything is everyone else's fault.
Juice- Juice did EVERYTHING for the club. Dude, I felt so fucking bad when he got killed. His character was so good.
Cop dude (Unser? Idk how to spell it lmao)- fucking sidekick to Gemma, loved them together. Probably my favorite two characters of the show. Idk hard to say.
A lot of the other characters were cool. Some I couldn't stand. But mostly the show was so sick, I was so invested. Fucking great music. But disappointing to me the direction the show went.
By season 5ish maybe 6 I was forcing myself to watch. I even called it that Jax was gonna kill himself the way his dad did. It became pretty....idk, repetitive?
Anyways, those are my thoughts, I honestly don't understand how anyone could like Jax. At first he was good, then he just went to shit.
In season 4, episode 12, Opie confronts Clay and wants to kill him.
He tells him to sit at the head of the table since he wants him to die at the gavel.
Considering everything that happened and how Opie viewed the club was unraveling, this seemed like an odd request.
What was that about?
What would happen if someone tried to hurt abel
Rewatch s6e10
The truth about Taras attempt to divorce Jax and take them away is out and Gemma lied to everyone and goes and visits her at her house. She tells her that basically Jax is going to kill her. She won't be raising her own two sons. And she either needs to move out of town or they're basically going to kill her.
She does this just after Jax apologizes and she barely knows where he stands with it all at that point. This woman is an absolute scumbag. Anyone especially people with kids should understand Tara's motives. Having someone act like that and speak like that? She was absolutely right in trying to distance the boys from all of this.
Gemma is a psycho, is weird about her love for her son, and thinks and acts like her grandkids are hers. She is fucked.
Edit: also Jax could have told Tara at any point that he was planning to get her immunity by giving up Gaalen and that would have alleviated 90% of this lol
I’m new to the show, never watched before and just started season 4, loving it so far! I don’t mind spoilers because obviously the show has been out for a long time now so I know a lot of what happens, but I just want to know what the general consensus on Tara is? Where I’m at currently I feel like you’re meant to like her but I just cannot get on board with that, she annoys me so much!
Just rewatched the series again. To me Gemma’s character is mostly driven by ego, not codex.
Given that Gemma kills Tara to keep her son and grandchildren close and to remain the matriarch of the family… if she had known that Abel heard and realized her murder confession and was a real threat to that position: Do you think she would have killed a grandson to keep the son?
So just finished laying pipe, knew it was coming but damn that >!shit still hits hard!< this is my fifth rewatch icyw
putting aside all the >!media porn !<if they were to do a spin off what direction or character arcs would you like to see develop or deep dive aside from MAYANS
I would like to see Tigs messed up childhood be touched on what led him to this ? and more of the first 9 how they did things
You ?
First time watching so no spoilers please. Just want to say I’m really invested already, which is a sign of a really good show.
