ABSOLUTELY the best show I've watched till now, the characters, the story, everything was fucking peak. just got done watching it a few mins ago, would definitely rewatch it after a while, I searched a bit and turns out you're supposed to watch "Mayans MC" after SOA? the name makes it obvious but is it good like SOA? need answers
What were SOA doing in the 1990s? I know that’s when John died. Given SOA are an international organization with SAMBEL most notably, is there any other lore describing what they were up to in the 1990s?
Something that never made sense to me was when the guys get out of prison and tig says that he knew kozik would patch in while they were inside like he hadn't seen any of them while they were inside. Wouldn't he have found out while they were inside?
I'm doing another rewatch of SOA, because it's the absolute fucking greatest TV series, and of course I cried about Opie holding Donna after she was murdered. My daughter was making fun of me and said, "Are you watching SOA for the millionth time?" And I said, "Millionth and one, ho." (We both call each other names and laugh, she's 23.) I'm not one for watching shows over and over, but this show has my heart. It's so good each and every time I watch it.
I know a lot of people will disagree or think im wrong but i was more sad when bobby died than opie.
Its ‘’Prreviousle onn sonns of anarkeh’’ by Chibs for me
Sons of anarchy seasons are not easy to rank and rate as they are less like chapters in a story and more like a part of one large continuous undivided whole...but there are 2 distinct eras of the show in my view. The first 3 seasons which were a self aware B show that didn't take themselves too seriously and seasons 4 onwards which were much darker, much more tonally serious and dramatic, with a greater focus on character development (although still very plot driven).
Which era is your favorite and why?
I thought the storyline of Abel being kidnapped went on for way too long, however, I did enjoy how the MC went to Ireland to go get him back.
The club selling AKs to a rogue white supremacist group early in season 1 brought agent stahl to their door. Had the club stuck with professional gangs or been better on their Opsec and not used the clubhouse to call Meineke, there’s a chance anything that happened with Stahl never occurs.
Is there a bigger “moment” that impacted the club. Maybe the witness seeing Bobby shoot Hebner? Tara coming back to Charming?
Juice looks way different with an afro. #Thepenguin @thepenguin
Literally people criticizing the show’s realism. One person wrote “we would never wear our patch on a job”. Who the fuck are you even addressing that could relate to that? Was the intent to make a comment that would resonate with this underbelly of the world?
Either way, show kinda sucked. Be honest, after season 2 it lost your interest a bit. But the commentary from hardcore keyboard warriors was legit amazing.
What are your thoughts on Tara? I loved her so much as a character and thought that she learned so much from Gema (for better or worse). Her character looked so different by the end. What do you think?
If Hamas is running a paramilitary campaign, don't they need all of the weapons they can get their hands on? How are they supposed to wage war against Israel if they keep selling their guns?
Honestly, the same goes for the True IRA's arms smuggling ring. They claim that the the gunrunning profits are being used to fund "the cause", but what is the money actually being used for? Why not just keep the weapons for themselves?
I admit that these criticisms are kind of nitpicky. But there's not much discussion about this, so I wanted to see if anyone else has had similar thoughts.
Just finished the Mayans, all I gotta say is what a sorry ass ending, literally how most of the characters went out was dumb, like very dumb, especially Isaac’s character, dude was so badass but went out a lame way, even Adelita, she was okay, the plot with her group was good in s1 but ended lame, even with her death, it made no sense💀 the show had so much potential for many characters and the ending was very rushed. And Ez’s character was just getting worse and worse, it wasn’t even like a justifiable worse, I tried not to compare the shows to each other cause I really wanted to enjoy the Mayans, but like nah, Jax’s actions were heartless in the end but he had a lot of reasons to do what he did, versus Ez, dude didn’t go through nothing what so ever, (besides jail, but he did that on his own 🙄) hated that he killed his ex girlfriend, and then acted all tough after that, the ending in general was just very questionable, And how they did my mans Happy and Montez was messed up, I had to skip a lot of scenes in s5 and 4, most of the characters were annoying, especially Letty, the only character I am happy for in the ending is Alvarez, they screwed him over so bad but he got his good ending, didn’t like Angel much but glad he got out. Wish they had also written the females better as well, loved how in SOA the females/old ladies played a major role in the guy’s life and show in general, they gave so much good drama and also showed amazing characters of females in that environment, aka Tara, her character development throughout SOA was so intense and good, I could go on about her more but she was the one of the best characters in SOA, hell even Gemma, while the mayans tried too hard to make them hard, Emily was such a mid character, she really didn’t have much development, not even Letty, they literally had Letty in the series do absolutely nothing and kept her doing nothing every episode except for cry about Coco, I liked the Mayans in the beginning but not towards the end, felt like I just wasted my time on it, it has potential but just lost its way, anyways, hopefully in the future, we will have a spinoff of Jax’s sons or something, I really wanna see how his sons will be played out, even the mayans down south, going to rewatch SOA and appreciate the show for real this time 🥲
bro...
Ok S1 was nice. Hooked me in. S2 was different but I liked it. S3 kinda disappointed me though. I felt like all the Ireland stuff was a gimmick. I was forced to care about temporary guys while not learning anything qbout the guys I'm already attached to. S4E1 is playing rn. Gotta watch but like... I'm hoping S4 returns to how the series started.
Did you guys feel like S3 was a let down? If you were appointment watching during this period YES i wanna hear from you bro.
Also, that SAMBEL mention felt lame. Whatever. That guy got roofed lol.
Ideally also set in Cali. For me it would have to be The OC. Sons of Orange County would be hilarious
In my opinion the cops and DA are just as complicit in Tara’s murder… they kept pressuring her until she had no more options. Not to mention Lee Toric and his obsession. Like just to think how different it would have played out had Otto killed the male nurse instead of torics sister.
I noticed on my most recent rewatch that not every member of SAMCRO has a Redwood Original patch on their vest. In particular, some of the newer members that the club adds in the later series. I can't remember who, but there are certainly members that have it on their vests, whilst standing right next to other members that don't.
Donna's death, was watching episode twelve and thought I'd make my own cut which I think would've been more intense and even more shocking, instead of the us knowing that Donna's in the Ram the whole time, it's only revealed after the truck gets shot up, it goes from will Tig pick up the call and spare Donna her life, oh no she's dead and turns into will Tig pick up before killing Opie, then boom Opie's dead, Tig pulls up, oh shit what's Donna doing there? Then they could do a flashback to the couple switching cars or roll credits with them talking or Opie pulls up to the scene and she's dead and explains why she had the truck, hope you guys like it, please leave comments and thumbs down or up, I don't even particularly like the show, but I'm pretty picky as a writer choosing what and what not I allow to inspire, but I like somethings in it enough to watch, mostly I want the cops to just kill these dumb gay bikers, but since there are 7 seasons, sounds like it's gonna take a while.
Hey guys I feel like I must have missed a part of an episode ! After Jax burns his journal and Gemma is shown with it, he reveals a intact copy to Terra. How did this occur ? Thanks
