...and the series finale hit a whole lot harder this time around, now that I have a two year old daughter. When Jax told Nero that be needed his sons to grow up hating him, it was like get hitting head on by a semi-truck (yeah, that was intentional).

On both of my first two watch throughs, with probably about three years between each one including this one, I always thought the last episode was sorta hokey, but I have realized the wrongness of that view. That was a genuinely awesome way to end the show.

Nero was way too good of a guy to have ever gotten wrapped up in Gemma. I wish she would have had to suffer the consequences of her actions a little more. I mean, obviously Jax killed her but she pretty much got whatever she wanted regardless of how fucked up she was.

I just finished Sons of anarchy less then an hour ago and wow what a ending might be one of my favorite finales ever, It has one of my favorite Casts of all time and Jax is one of my favorite Protagonists, I honestly loved the last couple of seasons despite it getting alot of hate, i loved seeing Jaxs Downfall like the small scenes where Venus’s mother told Venus a speech which Jax related to and then shot her or when Jury told Jax about what he could have been are Great to his character and arc, its not in my top 5 favorite shows maybe top 10 i dont know but its definitely a show i will never forget and i loved the journey.

My rankings of the seasons:

1: Season 4: starts off Great with my favorite season opener of them all and ends with one of my favorite scenes where jax sits as president and Tara behind him, i felt like it was a bit too unrealistic with the cartel things but almost every season had this, it could have been one of my favorite seasons of all time but the season finale didnt solve anything it gets pushed to s5-6 to solve

2: Season 5: Underrated season it started fast and had some of my favorite episodes like laying pipe and J’ai Obtenu Cette and it had Daemon pope and the Great season conclusion which concluded alot of things from season 4

3: Season 2: Probably would be my favorite season if not for the Season finale which i tbh did not like everything from 1-12 was Great and It actually for me felt like watching some of the elite tv shows like The Wire, it had Great writing and not to unrealistic like the other seasons and i liked Zobelle as a antagonist and it was one of the only seasons that actually felt like Samcro was in trouble, I wished that the cliffhanger with Abel was pushed to season 3 and that Zobelle was taken care of instead of let go for no reason, i also wanted a good conclusion for half sack and overall episode 13 felt stupid for me its the only thing that makes it not be number 1

4: Season 1: the best Season in terms of Writing and i loved the simplicity and how realistic it was

5: Season 6: first 3 episodes were the worst in SOA in my opinion but then became better though it dragged alot its final 3 episodes were some of my favorite Episodes in the series with its finale Mothers work being my n2 fav episode and i liked everything with the Irish

6: Season 7: i liked the first episode especially its ending it showed how Jax was now completely lost, but then episodes 2-9 were imo very very bad in terms of writing and very slow and unnecessary they had some good moments though like Jury and jaxs scene and The things with the asian, ep 10 was when it started becoming good again and then episodes 11-13 were some of the best I’ve seen in tv and Masterpieces especially Papas goods ep 13 which is one of my favorite episodes ever and a great conclusion, just because its second to last does not mean its bad its ending alone could make it go higher in the list, actually when i finished s2 i heard s6-7 were “Bad” and considered to stop watching but in glad i did not

7: Season 3: It dragged alot and was very unnecessary and boring, only good thing about it was its season finale

Might be an odd question but I was talking with a buddy as we were both rewatching the series and I commented that I tended to either ignore or even fast forward through a lot of the Gemma, Tara, Unser scenes (also most of the scenes with Gemma’s father but that stuff is just gut wrenching) as even in my first watch they tended to annoy me. My buddy was blown away as his rewatch is from beginning to end without skipping…am I the only fast forward guy? Or do others have their fingers on the ff button as well?

First rewatch in a few years, here goes everything

Outside of this one issue I have with the show, I genuinely can’t think of anything else that let me down personally. My issue was with the Irish characters both across SAMBEL and the IRA, they for some reason chose to use American actors putting on Irish accents (which always sound awful) or English actors doing the same.

I just don’t understand why they didn’t cast real Irish actors. They all had this same very stereotypical northern Irish accent and it just felt so off.

Did anyone else’s heart just break with Jax’s scream when Cameron got away with Abel? Charlie’s acting is just *chef kiss *

About to finish my third rewatch and having this revelation. Not only is Gemma the most despicable and unlikeable character throughout the entire show, she’s solely responsible for some of the best characters deaths. Everyone’s favorite crooked sheriff Wayne Unser starts the show off with one foot out the door, about to retire and fight his cancer diagnosis with his wife, who later runs off with “some guy with a boat”. He’s obviously in love with Gemma and has been since they were very young, and this is evident in the way he covers up Johns murder, goes to great lengths to protect the club and consequently her, and ultimately gives his life defending her. However, I was thinking of how much of a cancer Gemma is to the club, but never realized the symbolism in the way that she was more dangerous to Unser than his actual cancer. The man got jumped by nomads, carved up by skinheads, and in countless other life threatening situations but still was brought down by that narcissistic psycho c*nt. The closer her and Unser got throughout the show his life just continued to get worse, and then he died defending her after even KNOWING what she did to Tara and the damage that all brought.

So long story short, Gemma is more dangerous than terminal cancer.

I swear they have so many sweet moments, but this quote and scene lives rent free in my head.

“We don’t know who we are until we are connected to someone. We’re just better human beings when we are with the person we are supposed to be with.” UGH I die. And of course, the hospital scene at the end of S1 when Jax tells Tara he feels like his past is giving him another shot to do something different. I can’t. I love it.

I know this show is about a motorcycle gang and everything but I really was rooting for Tara and Jax, their love story was the hidden gem.

Loved to see Chibbs in Power Book Force just to see him as a gangster again. You?

Does anyone else think that they should have cast a better looking actress for the part of Tara? To me she looks too old and just isn’t that attractive. I thought Jax should have a really good looking wife.

I just started watching this show and in S1 EP2 there's this scene towards the end of the episode where jax begins reading some journal entries and this really beautiful instrumental starts playing!! I've been trying to find the song and it seems like it's nowhere to be found?? anyone at least have a clue as to who made the song

WHY would Tara go get a fucking hotel room with the boys instead of going to the DAs office when she was supposed to?? And at the very least, not ask for fucking police protection while she was waiting for the lawyer to look over the deal?

And now the Sons have her children because she was so stupid to go to a public park in Charming with her lawyer?? How did she or the cops or her lawyer not think she or them weren’t going to get followed?

I mean, the stupidity is on another level. Tara should’ve known better.

And Unser telling Gemma and the Sons about how Tara made a deal…he’s so fucking pathetic. So far up Gemma’s ass, she plays him so much and he falls for it. Why would he even believe her asking for her to get the pills? And now Tara is dead because of him and Gemma.

That was such a brutal murder by Gemma. And I knew the cop was going to die but it still sucked to see. Hate Juice and Gemma now. I had sympathy for Juice but not any more.

Also if I have to hear her one more time say “grand babies”… She’s so entitled to think she deserves her them.

Anyways ended the episode.

I barely been able to get through Season 6 because I disliked it so much. Mostly everyone turned into unlikable characters. I still will finish the show

Into how crazy of a ride am I getting?

In season 3, when she told Tara that had Abel been her flesh and blood, she would not have given him away so easily. as a mother, I cannot even imagine handing over my son to anyone without a fight. Maybe I would lose the fight, but at least I would’ve gone down swinging!

So I am doing another rewatch of SOA right now. I just finished the episode of Donna’s funeral. In that episode Jax gives his blanket to the homeless lady when he wakes up in the cemetery. I am pretty sure that is the blanket he used in season 7 to hide under when he killed Marks. Did anyone else notice this before ? Also have you noticed any other small callbacks like that?

Would Tig have voted yes to Clay meeting Mr. Mayhem if Jax didn't make him his bitch after Opie was killed? I feel like in that scene where we watch Tig for a few seconds before he says yes, he looks at Jax like he's being forced to say yes. Then when Bobby votes no, Tig touches his forehead like he's relieved it didn't pass. What do you think?

For me it was that Scene where Clay went to Lowell Junior and confronted him or where Tig's Daughter (Dawn Trager) was burnt alive

I keep on hearing that season 6-7 are bad and i just recently finished s6 and other then the dragging and Toric shit i loved the season its last 3 episodes were Great, and i thought the first 2 episodes of season 7 were okay and i dont think what jax is doing is “Sudden” or “Unnecessary violence” i think it was being built up but what i dont understand is episode 3 where Jax is Suddenly Destroying all of his alliances especially with Marks, and i dont understand why would the one niners join Jax/Sons and betray Marks when The sons dont have power like Marks does, and what do they gain does the Current Niner leader i forgot his name want to take over Marks? But why it came all of a sudden with mo build up we never saw him having any problems with Marks
