Nearly 51 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a contained with bananas was located and confiscated by customs inspectors of the Independent Authority of Public Revenue (AADE) in Piraeus on Thursday.
AADE said the cocaine, valued at over 2.3 million euros and originating from South America, was found in 50 packages whose final destination was Piraeus. With the use of an x-ray they saw suspicious organic substance in the refrigeration machinery of the container. An detection dog made a conformation .
The Nicaraguan Naval Force intercepted 80 cocaine packages near Quizalá beach in San Rafael del Sur, located on the Pacific coast. The drugs were discovered in two red bundles.
