I’m a frequent poster here and I love shih tzus so much, I’m considering getting a second one. However, I really, really want a sweet cuddly dog and my tzu is like 90% cat. He likes to always be in the same room as us and to be able to see us at all times and he has random but rare moments of affection but for the most part he wants to be close but never touching. If I grab him and put him in bed with me, he will literally move to the furthest point possible from me 😭😭.

A pet shop owner told me you can tell their personality since they’re puppies and, in retrospect, my Tzu was always like this. He hated being held as a puppy and I literally fed him treats while holding him so he’d stay still but alas, it didn’t work. He’s really sweet in his own way but not cuddly at all.

It would genuinely depress me if my next one is also like this 😭 Was your tzu always cuddly? Could you tell they would be like that since you got them? What were some early signs that they were cuddly?

The fair weather of our camping trip turned wet. I mean VERY wet with thunder and everything. So we are snuggled up in the camper with a good book and watching the rain. ☔️

With a custom yarn hat

I've noticed vinnie has been itching his neck more recently I went to check the spot he's been itching and noticed a sore spot under his fur, anyone have any idea what this could be? I plan to take him to the vet anyway to be sure, but thought I'd see if anyone has come across this before?
